Libertad Ratings and Reviews
This place exceeded my expectation with every plate that came out. Every plate was flavorful and cooked the way it should be.
A little on the pricier side especially if you're adding alcohol to the mix. So it wouldn't be somewhere I would go too often but, if I want a great meal that doesn't disappoint I know I can find it at Libertad.
Libertad is a fantastic local gem, intimately sized, but high on energy and highly creative, extremely tasty small plates. Given the ingenuity and flavorful, fresh ingredients used the prices are appropriately higher than typical tapas restaurants. But one bite into any of their dishes will immediately make it worth every penny and you'll leave any sense of regret behind along with your tip for their attentive service. Fantastic for special occasions or small groups out celebrating a promotion or birthday.
We love the comfortable, but hip feel of Libertad – it feels like you've stepped into a great spot in the city, but Libertad is less than a 10-minute drive from the house. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful spot like this in our backyard! Libertad is one of our go-to places when we are meeting up with friends or need a nice dinner out with the family. The starter soup before the meal is always something warm and savory - Saturday night it was a split pea; we also love the black bean soup. We certainly have our go to dishes that include: the carne asada and calabaza (roasted acron squash filled with a mushroom risotto) and the chipotle humus, but always add in a few other dishes to mix it up. Service is always to notch and the staff superb. They also do a great brunch on Sundays!
Another stellar brunch. Everyone’s dishes were well executed and very tasty. There is not a weak item on the menu. Everything is so good. It’s also one of very few restaurants that actually serve good coffee. The breakfast burrito is awesome, and the sauce it comes with is really outstanding. They should bottle it. My favorite restaurant.
Libertad has outstanding food. Their menu is small with three categories and only 15 options, and then a dessert menu of three possible choices - but each is dlelicious and we treat it like a small plates place where we all shared. Very pleasant atmsphere, great service. We had the Pear salad, the stiffed poblano pepper, the stuffed acorn squash, the roast chiclen and the carne asada - and then got one of each dessert. Chocolate cake, creme brulee, salt caramel cheesecake. ALl outstanding. They also have a nice bar and plenty of cocktails and a wine list or beers.
I liked the food and the presentation. Small plates are perfect for the wife and I who want to try a lot of different items, but don't want to walk out stuffed.
The food was very well prepared and very tasting. Our waiter was attentive without hovering over us and he was very helpful.
The meal was expensive given the location, but there was also free parking down the block and that helped.
We will be back!
Fabulous place. I've eaten here before and have never been disappointed. The Latin fare is atypical of most restaurants, and is both creative and flavorful. The smaller plates allow guests to experience and enjoy several different dishes without getting a "too full" feeling. This visit we sampled the Pulpo (spanish octopus and house made chorizo), which surprised us with how tender it was (we were expecting slightly chewy). Our next choice was Mar y Tierra, where the pork belly portion just melted in your mouth... All were complimented by a nice bottle of Bodegas Cepa 21 Tempranillo red wine.
Went for our anniversary and sat in the back patio. Everything that we had was delicious. They started us with an amuse bouche of squash soup. We enjoyed the Pulpo (octopus- super tender), Poblano, Flautas, Barramundi and Congrejo (crab cake). We nearly licked the plate on everything. All the other dishes coming out looked great too. Our server was very friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. The food was also a great value. Would absolutely return again.
