Wanted to try everything on the menu - so many interesting combinations of ingredients! The sea bass was outstanding! Highly recommend!

Some of the best food I have ever had! Course after course, one was as good or better than the one previous. The staff was friendly, solicitous and knowledgeable. I cannot wait to go back!

We had a nice table, well distanced from other tables, on the outdoor patio. It was covered, with the sides up, but with plenty of openings for airflow. It was a nice Sunday afternoon, and no heat needed, but they had heaters setup. The food was delicious, and the service was superb.

The food was fantastic. Tables were very spread out so it was quiet.

Lovely restaurant.
The service was excellent.
We had the arugula salad, flautas, crab cake and a beef stir fry.
Had a lovely cake for dessert.
Everything was wonderful. My only complaint was the beef was not as good as the rest of the dishes. It was just a bit bland.
I will return and am happy to see a local gem survive the pandemic.

Libertad does NOT disappoint. Even in challenging COVID times, their exemplary service and delicious food (not to mention awesome libations) have retained their high quality. We went to celebrate a birthday recently. The decision to mask up and travel out for a special occasion was a big one. Where to go was much easier. Libertad has always been our "go-to" place and the pandemic was not going to effect that whatsoever. We were so happy that we made that decision. We never felt, at any time, that we were nothing less than safe and well cared for. Yes, we over ate. Yes, we over drank. And yes, we had an amazing time at a pretty special place. Love Libertad!

The food is out of this world! We went for a birthday and sat in the covid-compliant patio. We felt very safe with their precautions in place (vented, spaced tables, air purifier, everyone in masks). Our group of 3 ordered the Acorn Squash with risotto, truffle, mushrooms and everyone devoured it. We also got the Provelota appetizer b/c we all love cheese- yum! Moqueca (fish dish) has the best chipotle coconut sauce/broth. The Asada was cooked perfectly. Our wine was so good, the service is really good- everyone smiles at you and welcomes you- lovely! Would absolutely recommend for any occasion and any size group.

Despite being freezing cold outside, we were comfortable in their outdoor dining set up! Food, as always, incredible!

Waiter was so great. He was very friendly and always made sure that we had everything that we needed. Food was outstanding. Drinks were tasty even their non-alcoholic beverages for my wife who is pregnant. We had 2 rounds of drinks. Even the outdoor patio was a great experience despite the negative below temps. This is our Nth time there. We lost because we’ve been here many times. Our favorite date night spot.

Libertad never disappoints! Everything was amazing from the roasted beet soup amuse bouche to the chocolate pots de creme!

We always love coming to Libertad and we are so happy they’re open again for indoor dining. The food was excellent as usual and the staff were all very warm and welcoming.

Libertad did a great job witht their patio space. The heaters make it warm and cozy. Service is very attentive and the food and drink were delicious! I can't wait to go back for lunch now that they are open for lunch again.

Fantastic food, great drinks but pricey and relatively small portions. Definitely top-notch food quality but prices inadequate to ambiance and location.

We have been coming here for years and the food is always exceptional. Decided to make a reservation for our 10-yr anniversary, and luckily they just opened indoor dining this past Saturday so we were able to sit inside. lots of space between tables, super clean, and everyone is protected; best of all the food was phenomenal. Please do your best to support local businesses during these times, and if you want the best tapas in north Chicago, make a reservation at Libertad. Thanks for making our evening special!

Handled Covid restrictions well. We are outside, well spaced and both we and waiters kept our masks on. Excellent food and service.

Went for brunch- food was excellent. Outdoor patio was terrific - ventilated yet heaters did a great job and you could take off your coat. Very comfortable. A great spot to dine out, even during COVID winter!

We were seated at the patio and its warm! I was skeptical to go because other outdoor patios are cold. This place kept the area warm. The server who i think was the only server that night did a great job in serving everyone. Food was good. A little pricey tho. I recommended this place overall

The patio was covered and super warm which I appreciated. We were the only ones on Sunday afternoon. We had the guacamole mild which was perfect, the steak and eggs and the burrito. All was super good - our server Jenny was super helpful and friendly. The place was clean and we definitely coming back.

Libertad has set up a heated tent to provide safe dining while following state Covid regulations. We were very comfortable and felt very safe while enjoying a fantastic dinner. The food and cocktails were delicious and the service was great. We will definitely be back during Covid-19 state dining regulations, and look forward to eating inside the restaurant soon too!

Heated patio was nice even in January. Food, drinks and service were excellent. Prices were a little high . But considering the pandemic you can understand why prices are higher.

Covid protocols were really great, felt so safe. Outdoor seating on patio with heaters was really warm and well done. The food and service was exceptional.
