Great food and drinks
The food is always exceptional!
The service is very good, and everyone that I have encountered who works at Libertad is incredibly pleasant and helpful.
We love dining here!
We love coming here for the quality and consistency of the food and drinks! Lively and fun place with delicious Latin cuisine!
Good drinks, fresh ingredients in meals, good proportions for sharing - love it. Good service.
The short ribs were fabulous, as was the sauce and pasta. Everyone also loved the black cod and the risotto. The service was friendly and attentive, and it made for a delightful evening.
Great food. Great cocktails. Both have interesting combinations of ingredients.
Consistently great food! This is regular go-to for us.
Food was great service was on point bartender had some good tips on food but forgot to get his name a young Mexican man that knew his stuff! Good times
The restaurant is too dark. I also felt rushed.
Very good food. Very good staff, friendly and knowledgable.
This place is so good it’s ridiculous. My favorite restaurant in the burbs.
It’s not my first time to be in this place, I have dined here a couple of times with friends; my friend who I was with for dinner had been to this place too. I always find the food outstanding. We ordered 3 plates. We had the Col Rizado which was Kale salad with hazelnuts, feta cheese, etc. We both loved it, the dressing was light & the cheese was just a few crumbles, not overpowering. We also had the Jumbo shrimp & Tuna, I loved how the shrimps were grilled perfectly & the fish was cooked just right, raw in the middle. And both dishes were well balanced, with greens & sauce. We had the Chocolate for dessert, it was not too sweet specially the ice cream in the middle.
We just felt our server was rushing us to order right away. We were still going over the menu, (we were aware that they change it every so often) & she probably came by our table several times to ask if we were ready. My guy friend was actually irked but the food eased him up.
Overall, I would still go back for the food.
Frequented this place many times and never disappoints. Exciting well prepared tasty choices. Excellent attentive service as well.
Libertad was wonderful. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. A great place to go with a group of friends or for a romantic dinner. We will be back.
Too noisy to be comfortable. Next time we'll have to be there earlier on a Saturday night. Food excellent as usual, except veal and asada were a bit tough.
Delicious food and fine service. Nice accommodation for our friend with food allergies. Will return.
Food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. Get the horchata drink if you go!
One of our favorite spots.
We had a reservation for Valentine's day, our server was excellent, hosts were friendly, food was exquisite. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.
Nice little gem in Skokie. City vibes in the burbs. Small space with big tastes and spirits. Tables are close and intimate. Once you're situated in the tight quarters its a great experience.
Always a little gem!
I’ve been there a couple times.
My wife favorite spot. But it was very disappointed this time. We order four drinks and only three were delivered. I have to go to the bar and asked for the four one.
We are celebrating a birthday lunch. we ordered trio tacos for shared again I have to stand up and get some plates so we can shared.
We ordered two steak and egg, and a torta the milanesa. The steak was so chewy. Even my daughter said it. That was the first time Libertad disappointed us.
Of course will be back. But I hope my meat and service will be on point next time. We love Libertad and the owner is always nice to us.
Our daughter flew in from Denver for the weekend and always loved Libertad so that’s where we went. Fantastic drinks, great service, yummy food, just great.
Been about 8 times - always great!
all was good. WE have been there several times. Always had a good time
It was my first time at Libertad and food was excellent. I plan to visit again soon!!
The flavors are so good! Nice neighborhood gem! A definite recommend!
Fantastic food, small charm restaurant it simply will not disappoint.
We enjoyed our early Valentine's Day dinner here. Started with a wonderful salad with pears and goat cheese. My dish, asada skirt steak with chimicuri was only so-so. Steak was perfectly cooked, but the cut was tough, and they seemed to have forgotten the chipotle goat cheese. The thin yucca fies were great and the chimichurri was really good but was not placed directly on the steak but rather on the fries, which were atop the steak, so it was hard to artfully move the chimmichuri onto the steak (& the fries got soggy faster than they should have). It was beautifully presented, but the presentation compromised the tastes. My husband's cochinta pebil was absolutely terrific--I wish I'd ordered it. We'll definitely return, but next time I will order the cochinita pebil.
The food was very good. We tried the Flutas and the Paella, but other dishes looked interesting as well.
The food is always incredibly delicious! I don't mind paying a higher price if the food is worth it and it definitely is at Libertad.
Really neat place, very cozy but cool. Two of us shared 3 plates, all fantastic, was hard to choose, everything looked good. Amazing service as well. They change their menu 4 times a year we were told, so will definitely be returning.
Great flavors, sharing food is a must. It’s a bit far from where I live but it’s so worth it! Bar is a nice size and I like you can eat at it.
As alway Libertad was delicious. It is a definite go-to place.
