Too noisy to be comfortable. Next time we'll have to be there earlier on a Saturday night. Food excellent as usual, except veal and asada were a bit tough.

Nice little gem in Skokie. City vibes in the burbs. Small space with big tastes and spirits. Tables are close and intimate. Once you're situated in the tight quarters its a great experience.

We enjoyed our early Valentine's Day dinner here. Started with a wonderful salad with pears and goat cheese. My dish, asada skirt steak with chimicuri was only so-so. Steak was perfectly cooked, but the cut was tough, and they seemed to have forgotten the chipotle goat cheese. The thin yucca fies were great and the chimichurri was really good but was not placed directly on the steak but rather on the fries, which were atop the steak, so it was hard to artfully move the chimmichuri onto the steak (& the fries got soggy faster than they should have). It was beautifully presented, but the presentation compromised the tastes. My husband's cochinta pebil was absolutely terrific--I wish I'd ordered it. We'll definitely return, but next time I will order the cochinita pebil.

Really neat place, very cozy but cool. Two of us shared 3 plates, all fantastic, was hard to choose, everything looked good. Amazing service as well. They change their menu 4 times a year we were told, so will definitely be returning.

Great flavors, sharing food is a must. It’s a bit far from where I live but it’s so worth it! Bar is a nice size and I like you can eat at it.

I enjoy bringing guests to enjoy your wonderful food and service! I had my favorite burrito yesterday for brunch, but the wrap usually has some crunch to it. This time it was soggy all the way through, so I thought I'd just let you know. Hopefully, it was a one time occurrence. I'll mention it next time if it occurs again because otherwise the texture of this meal is divine and the taste is almost intoxicating to my taste buds. I usually order it because it's so delicious. Your hostess Jennie is delightful and our server is always cheerful and very helpful. I'll be back again soon as I saw you were now serving your brunch menu during some weekdays. Always look forward to a meal there. Wish the seats were a bit softer for our aging bones and that would also absorb some of the noise level as well.

Delicious food and great service! I went for lunch on a Friday so it was pretty quiet, but I could see it getting a bit noisy if you’re there for dinner on a weekend due to its small size.

The meal started with a little taste of soup, which was lovely. Then my guest and I shared to plates, one was creamy and earthy and the other dish was spicy hot. They both went well together. There were plenty of other dishes I wanted to try. I am definitely going back.

Liberiad has kept up its quality since it opens. The food is delicious innovative without being innovative for innovations sake. The drink list is equally excellent. If you actually like to talk at the table, go midweek when it is not as loud.

Pros:
Great dishes with a substantial amount of heat, which was a lovely surprise.

Amuse bouche of a squash soup in had a substantial kick! Not crazy heat, but seemed more than avg...No complaints from us.

The scallops were incredible. The preparation was divine. So complimentary with the red cabbage slaw and chile de arbol beurre blanc--wow! Best dish of the night!

The shrimp were lovely. They were grilled semi Jumbo shrimp served w/ very yummy little yucca gnocchi & serrano-pea puree. Though I couldn't taste a drop of heat in the puree.

The beer battered pablano stuffed w/ chevre & habanero jack cheese was awesome! The actual pablano was Super Spicy hot--perfect!

Also enjoyed the arugula salad w/pear, sunflower seeds (aka pepitas) grapes, and two wads of yummy fried goat cheese.

Cons:
Would not recommend the Banana Tres Leches, unless you enjoy carrot cAke. It was basically 3 small pieces of carrot--tasting cake and a yummy scoop of caramalized banana ice cream. NOT at all anything close to slice of traditional tres leches cake. Very disappointing and misleading if that's what you're expecting. Need to change the name on that. It was fine as a dessert.

Overall it was excellent minus the dessert snafu. Though this isn't a place to sit and linger or apparently drink. They weren't very keen on asking about drinks. The waitress was going to leave after taking our food order. I had to STOP her and ask if we could order drinks. Not a usual experience. And very difficult to get another drink. May be that this place is located in the sleepy suburb of Skokie and not in Chicago? We drink in Chicago! We live on the Northside and it was still worth the quick Lyft trip over. Also quite loud even though they had ceiling sound tiles installed. Difficult to have a conversation unless oddly enough, if you were a bigger party and had more space. The tables are very close together. But the FOOD wins!

I was unaware when I scheduled that it was a prefix menu and $100 per person. The waitress didn’t tell even inform us it was $100 person, we overheard her tell other tables. Out of the 5 courses 3 plus the amuse Bouche were One flavor .. chipotle. Very unhappy
