Hadn't been in a while...food superb! Can't wait to revisit as a regular.
The food was excellent! We had some difficulty understanding our waitress. We would go back again.
The Best Grilled Calamari
Both the meal and service were excellent. I personally do not like Italian food; however, there are enough other choices that Liberatore's is one of my favorite restaurants.
The cream of crab soup was divine and the pasta bolonase was excellent. Portion was so large I took half home for dinner a second nite-and it was just as good!
The service at was fabulous The food was cooked just as we ordered and the presentation was outstanding, pleasing to the eyes as well as to the palate. This was our first time and will be returning.
I had dined at Liberatore's in White Marsh many years ago and remembered being unimpressed, so my expectations were not high. This visit was consistent with my previous experience. I appreciated the friendly, attentive service and the fried calamari appetizer was quite good (tasty and not too greasy). The other items were smothered in red sauce (mine was an eggplant Parmesan) which was also tasty but out of proportion to the foundation food it covered. Non-pasta dishes come with pasta, and one is unable to substitute a side salad for the pasta (although one can have the mixed vegetables). My companions enjoyed their choices more than I did, so perhaps I am too discriminating in my tastes for this cuisine. Overall the food is good but not special.
Always a fabulous dining experience in both food and service!
New Years Eve. Service was slow and we kept having to ask for bread then butter which was irritating. Veal parm was very tough and not up to normal standards. Disappointed.
Liberatore's in Timonium is a big favorite. Food is excellent and the menu is very good and varied. Lots of good wines from which to choose. Server was very attentive without being intrusive. Conveniently located off of I-83 in Timonium.
Everything about our dining experience was great. Our reservation was for 12:30p. When we arrived, there were only four other people in the dining room (one single and a three-top), but the restaurant quickly filled. Our server was great -- available but not hovering. The food was excellent. Having been to Liberatore's a number of times, the over-all service was what I expected. We were observing the birthday of one in our party, so, w hen I made the reservation, I asked that a small piece of cake or cupcake be served. They didn't forget, and very quietly (via eye contact with me) determined who the birthday person was. We weren't even charged for the doubly delicious chocolate cake! Liberatore's is definitely one of my favorite restaurants!
We frequent the Timonium Liberatores location. I tend to be very particular with Italian food since I am originally from NY. Liberatores is better than any of the BA city restaurants by far. It truly is a neighborhood gem!
You can count on this place to provide a good all-around consistent experience.
s restaurant usu ally is wonderful, however on Christmas Eve extra tables were in the dining room, making it a crowded area. Menu was limited, service not up to their standard. Would definitely not go on Christmas Eve again
When the restaurant called to confirm our reservation, the man was rude and dismissive, not a good sign. We had made reservations over a week ahead of time but ended up seated in the doorway to the bar. Our waitress was wonderful and somewhat made up for the average food and atmosphere. A large party in the bar made hearing each other difficult.
We eat here several times a year and the food never disappoints. Pasta dishes are well done and the soups and chowders are excellent. Had the swordfish special this past time and it was very well prepared and presented. Not quiet but not noisy either- easy to have a conversation. Great bar if you like the bar scene and a large room available for groups and functions.
Food and service was great but towards the end of lunch, got the feeling we were being rushed from our table due to another party coming in which wasn't coming in for another 3-4 hours.
The was our 45th anniversary. We came for the food. Brought along another couple because we knew it would be a good experience. We had no problems with noise and having a nice converstion Wondered why we do not eat there more often since there is a good selection on the menu and we always are pleased with the food and service. I imagine, just too many good restaurants in the Baltimore area.
In comparison, several bad experiences at the Oregon Grille and no longer go there
Three of us celebrated a birthday. Had the most amazing shrimp bisque. Very smooth and seasoned perfectly. Lasagna was excellent but not as great as the blackened rockfish which was melt in your mouth delicious.
A very solid dining experience, song dishes over $30, many pasta favorites less than $20. Professional service, courteous and not overly friendly. Portions appropriate, not at too small, nor gargantuan. A very solid restaurant in every way. Dining room is more formal than not, probably not a good choice for your small children, but great choice for your aunts uncles and parents
I took a small group to have dinner on Monday evening. The food and service were excellent, and Michael, one of the owners made us feel like we were the only customers in the restaurant.
I enjoyed my dinner, which was delicious. However, my table was located against the windows and parmesan cheese, pepper and dishes were located on the window ledge behind me. The waiters kept reaching behind me to get these items, and it was distracting and uncomfortable.
We have eaten at Liberatore's in Timonium many times and have never been disappointed. Restaurant is attractive, menu is varied, food was excellent, service is prompt and friendly, and wine selection is very good. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to friends. We will return again!
Used to love Liberatore's but haven't been there in years. We went on a bad night when another tenant took over parking lot (which is ENORMOUS); there was nowhere to park and a rude man questioned all cars entering parking lot. Manager of restaurant could not have cared less. Laughed at my annoyance and said they couldn't do anything about the parking problem. His attitude ruined our evening and we would have left if our friends were not already seated. The fried calamari is still the best , but other food was just ok and service was poor. Very disappointing and the total lack of customer service was especially surprising and disappointing. A simple glass of wine for our inconvenience would have turned the whole situation around. Laughing at an upset customer was unprofessional and rude.
The fish of the day was outstanding and the crab cakes were as good as anyone in Baltimore County
Service was wonderful and well placed for a business meeting. Neighborhood gem
My mom read a review in the Baltimore Sun, we decided to take her for her birthday. It was a drive for us so we were really hoping it would be good. It was very busy and loud when we arrived but we were greeted and seated immediately. We got continuous attention from our server. The menu is large and varied enough for everyone to find something. Generally, I don't care for the Italian restaurants in the Baltimore area. Chinghiale's is an exception. I don't find them to be authentic to the Italian food served in Italy or New York. Liberatore's while not on par with NY is several steps above any other local Italian place I have been to. I would go again and recommend it. We went on a Saturday night and it was loud and busy, that's a plus and minus. You know people are enjoying themselves and the food but you might want to select a less busy time if you have any difficulty hearing. It's possible there is another area to sit in but we didn't ask. When we left I noticed there were table and chairs outside so I'm guessing in warm weather you can eat outside as well. The portions are very generous and fairly priced. Liberatore's is worth a visit.
We prefer the bar area, the service is outstanding and the food is very good every time.
We ate at Liberatore's in Timonium on a Saturday evening in mid-October. Our OpenTable reservation was acknowledged and we were seated in the main dining area (there is a smaller dining alcove at one end of the main dining room). We ordered the seafood bisque and cream of crab soup as starters. The cream of crab tasted of flour paste; the bisque was thin and did not have much taste at all, seafood or otherwise (we could not detect any seasoning or sherry in either). Our entrees consisted of the seafood risotto and a seafood special, mahi mahi topped with crabmeat. Both were very bland and in dire need of some sort of seasoning (there were salt/pepper shakers on the table, but why would I need them at these prices??). We were, of course, disappointed with the food, but we did not have high hopes since we had eaten at another Liberatore's location in the past and had a similar experience. In fact, the only reason we ate at the restaurant was because we had received a gift certificate that was soon to expire. The service was better than the food. The crowd skewed older and the portions were on the large side--definitely a relationship there. Would not go back.
We went for lunch, each of us had something different: penne, crab cake, salmon, linguini, and all was delicious. A wonderful value, too!
I recently went to Liberatore's with my husband and adult children. The place was packed, which I thought was a good sign. Our waiter was wonderful, very attentive, and extremely professional (he placed my napkin in my lap). Unfortunately, there was a party of 10 across the room who took selfies all night. Constant flash in my eyes. I'm not usually bothered by group photos but this group never stopped. I wish the maitre'd would have said something.
Our food was ok, but nothing outstanding. The seafood bisque and cream of crab were watery....a little disappointing.
Our Server, Robert was very attentive and kept everything topped off along with perfect timing for each phases of our dining. Very pleasant experience (not our first here) thanks to the Host and Hostess and especially Robert!
This restaurant is one of our favorites. We always know we'll have a great meal, excellent and friendly service, and always see familiar faces dining here. Great menu selection and everything is fresh and home made delicious!!
I have eaten at Liberatore's in Timonium twice. Both times my food was wonderful. I was part of a large party the first visit and the service was great. This past visit, was a birthday dinner for me and again my food was wonderful but that my boyfriend was pleased with his food should be a real feather in their cap. He is extremely hard to please. He loved both his appetizer and entree....wow!! And the best was our waiter, who was exceptional. He was there when we needed him, but didn't hover, helpful with our selections and had a wonderful smile. I worked in the restaurant business for 20 years, and he was one of the best waiters I've ever known. This will now be my favorite place to dine. Great atmosphere, great service, great food!
I took my wife to celebrate her birthday and the staff really made it a special occasion with their specialty OREO Cookie Cake and a candle. Our server did a great job. She was attentive without being obtrusive. The food, of course, was delicious and nicely presented.
We visited Liberatores Timonium on a rainy Tuesday night. It was about half full. The food was very good. The service was excellent. The dining room is attractive and voices did not carry from one table to another. An enjoyable dining experience.
tried, true, steady - all the things you remember about Italian-American resturants from your youth
Food was outstanding tonight.
Specials were just that
We were able to eat outdoors on the patio. The food was great and the ambiance was even better. I had the veal piccata that had a wonderful lemon caper sauce. The side pasta came with a tomato sauce. While that was good if ordered alone, I would have preferred to have the veal piccata sauce instead. I wish that option had been offered.
Water was quite attentive until it was time for the check. Bolonaise sauce was fair. Ahi tuna was a little too cooked.
