LIBERATORE’S Ristorante & Catering - Timonium Ratings and Reviews
Service was prompt but not pushy. We were allowed to dine instead of eat and rush out. My chicken and my wife's veal were both great. We are both trying to avoid pasta and were given dishes of heathy vegetables as a replacement. The price was reasonable for the quality of food and service. We enjoyed the experience and will return on a regular basis.
Sadly, our lunch here was a letdown from start to finish. We were seated at a corner table facing a wall that was in need of a paint job. After being seated, a woman came to unclear the extra place settings. She reached over us and made quite a production. Our waiter was decent, until our food came and then, he disappeared. We probably would have had dessert, but we were out of time when he finally returned. We made it clear that we wanted our check right away. He brought the check, but then took his time coming back to get our payment. The food was mediocre, considering our bill was over $60. I have had good meals at Liberatores; but this wasn't one of those. I would think twice before going back.
The time before this when we dined here we had to wait an hour+ for our meals to come from the kitchen. We were ready to walk out but one member of our party refused to leave so we just sat and waited. We decided to give the restaurant one more chance since our other visits had been so enjoyable. This time I'm glad to report was once again like the Liberatore's we remembered. The food was delicious and the portions were large enough to bring some home to enjoy a second time. Definitely save room for desserts which weren't very large but large enough to share after a big meal. We had a 7 pm reservation and even with the restaurant very busy, our table was ready and service was excellent. We'll definitely be returning.
I had blackened rockfish. It was outstanding. It came with mixed vegetables that were also great. My cannoli was perfect. My husbands wonderfully tasty shrimp fra diovlo. Our salads were wonderful and the waitress told us we could order a half salad which made our appetizer a great beginning.
Food is always excellent!!! Our favorite place to celebrate anniversaries or birthdays. Nice atmosphere...not too noisy. Excellent drinks and wine list. Love their lasagna and their house salads. Recently we tried the Pollo Pepperoncini and Veal Saltimboca and they were AMAZING. The risotto in the chicken dish was so buttery and the veal was tender. I consider myself a "foodie" I would eat her at least 2 time a week if I wouldn't gain way too much weight!! LOL Love this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although I have eaten here before and enjoyed it, this time the appetizer and Chicken Pino were not up to standard. The crab dip was lacking crab and was mostly mayonnaise. The Chicken Pino was very disappointing. The chicken was tender but lacked any taste. The cheese and tomato seemed to be an afterthought and did nothing to add flavor to the meal. Our other meals were very good. The veal parmigiana and shrimp pasta fra diavola dish were exceptional.
Overall, the meal was good but not the usual level of food we have experienced at Liberatore's in the past.
Horrible customer service! Manager was unwilling to help with changing sauce on pasta without an additional charge of $2.00, even though same sauce was offered on other meals at same price. Wasn't willing to make any accommodations to promote good will. Manager's attitude will prevent returning.
