Never never disappoints. THE BEST!!!!! This is my all time favorite Italian restaurant since I was a little girl growing up in New York. The bread is what Italian bread should be.
Met some old neighbors for dinner. 3 of us had the pasta special which was a salad, choice of 1of 3 entrees and dessert. All selections were tasty and portions good sized. Will go there again!
We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. The server was very knowledgeable and very friendly he offered suggestions and did an excellent job of making sure we were taken care of.
Friendly and accommodating staff, not too crowded and noise level comfortable. I was there for Eadter buffet and the food was excellent.
The orecchiette alla formaggio and linguini with the red clam sauce were OUTSTANDING!!!
The red sangria was awesome. Never disappointed. Excellent real Italian restaurant.
There were four of us-one had the lamb chops, the others had chicken marsala, crabmeat pasta and veal saltimbocca. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our food and only the pasta was too much and required a box for leftovers.
Fantastic dinner and atmosphere. More than what I expected. Waitress was good. Bus man was very attentive.
For a big party and separate checks the waiter was phenomenal! Very accommodating! Love Liberatores!
Wait time was half hour past time of reservation. Food was very good . Our server was excellent . Overall good experience
Food and atmosphere were great, I was very disappointed in the service though. The waitress did not recognize our booking request for my husband's birthday and my son even went to the hostess station 2 times to make sure it would be taken care of. We did order dessert and it came fine but were told after my son went to the hostess station to complain and find out why he was told all would be good and they are great at what they do...we were left empty handed. The waitress came over while I was away from the table to say she was told the birthday dessert was for a table behind us and we said it was to go there...What kind of sick joke is that? She did give us a to go piece of cake because she felt bad but honestly it was about the experience at the table and surprise for my husband, not about the cake. Also, I was never asked if I wanted a refill on my water or wine, I had to motion her for both and I only had 2 glasses the entire time we were there which was from 7:30-8:50. She asked my husband if he wanted a refill on his beer but never me. And I was the one paying, and I did leave a nice hefty tip for her as our bill was $197.00...and after I did, I wondered if I really should have, I was not happy.
Sat 30 minutes after reservation time. Food subpar for price.
The food and service was outstanding. We always enjoy going there! Great staff and ownership, highly recommend!
Awesome dining experience as usual! We started with a cocktail in the bar, moved to the dining room, and ended our night back in the bar listening to some smooth jazz played by a wonderful trio.
Our only complaintl is that we made a reservation for 7:30 pm but when we got there on time (15 mins before our reservation) they made us wait 20 minutes after our reservation. We had a limited amount of time for dinner because of the babysitter so loosing the extra 30 minutes (while waiting to be seated) made us rush through dinner and didn't give us time to get dessert because we had to be back at home by 9pm. Meanwhile we were watching other people that didn't make reservations get seated while we waited standing because there was no seating room available.
If we would have know we were going to have to wait we probably would have gone somewhere else.
Excellent as always. I had the crab ravioli and it was delicious!
I've been to Liberatore's Bel Air several times over the past 2 years. The food is generally excellent, but disappointed me this time. I ordered Veal Parm -- my favorite. It arrived cold and the sauce was not up to its usual standard. It was watery and rather tasteless...quite a surprise. The cheese was not even fully melted/dispersed on the veal, and the sauce was runny. Worse, the entire dish and the side of pasta were cold. I should have sent it back for re-heating...but I'm not a big complainer. The service was also rather slow, with the waiter bringing everything one or two dishes at a time for the party of six. This was not consistent with a desire to have hot food for all. My 5 companions had no particular complaints, but I would normally expect to hear "wow, this is really good". That didn't happen this time. So for now, an excellent rating was lowered to "very good" (and disappointing). Liberatore's can live or die on its red sauce, so this cold, watery concoction was hopefully a one-time faux pas by the kitchen staff, and not a change to lower quality or lack of quality control. At the very least, it was the latter on 2-17-18.
We went to Liberatore’s for our Valentine’s Day dinner on Saturday 2/17. This was our first time at this restaurant since moving to Maryland in May of 2015. We heard mixed reviews about it from our neighbors. Some love it, some not so much. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant, not over crowded for a Saturday night, although it was snowing and sleeting. The server was an older gentleman, not overly friendly, but not rude either. The food service was really quick, but the food itself was average. We had high expectations for this meal and it was really average at best.
Classic old school Italian food. Great pasta and great sauce.
First time at this location. Made reservations, arrived a few minutes early and was seated immediately. Waitress was very attentive, food was excellent..Owner came by and talked to us for a few minutes. Great night. Will definitely come back.
Dined with my wife on Valentine's Day - a rather disappointing experience. Had a 5 pm reservation (made 1 month in advance) and had requested booth seating. When we arrived, were informed there were no booths and had to wait in the lounge for nearly 30 minutes until one opened up. After finally being seated, were greeted by a very friendly waitress and served drinks promptly. We've dined here on several occasions but tonight was not up to par. We formerly enjoyed the big screen videos of Italy but found the "Food Network" projections very distracting. Food was so-so, nothing memorable. Carnation was a nice touch.
Never disappointed at liberatores.
Delicious food resonably priced, great friendly service.
Dinner was great, as usual! Love this place!!
We enjoyed our meal, the service was very slow...we waited over 45 minutes for our food. We didn't see our servers much at all. We had to track them down each time.
Good food and good service!
Our all time favorite Italian restaurant. Food is outstanding. The bread is to die for. The best Italian bread ever. Crispy and warm. Goes well with either oil or butter. The staff and management is superb!!!! Beautiful rooms, upbeat and lively bar.
Tara our server is the BEST. The Liboratore family has a real talent for hiring excellent people and serving great food.
Don't go here if you like to eat food. It is a completely flavor-free experience. Typical cheese and cream sauce covered pasta dishes. Good luck finding anything fresh or heart healthy.
Dinner was very good. Raviolis very tasty. Salad is ala carte. But a nice portion...lots
of extras with lettuce. Homemade creamy Italian dressing is exceptional.
Disappointed. Unusually mediocre this time. Tough lamb chips. Dry salmon.
Great as always!!! Food is always good! Service is good!
We enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and mussels, they were excellent.
We can always depend on Liberatore's for a great meal. I took advantage of the Harford Restaurant Week menu, and my husband ordered his favorite -- Veal Liberatore. The crab dip was rich and creamy, my filet was cooked as I like (so many restaurants overcook medium rare) over a bed of risotto, and the lemon sorbet was generously portioned, but light enough that I didn't feel uncomfortably full.
Being a Friday night, the restaurant was full and very noisy. The next time I'll request an upstairs table so we can have a conversation without raising our voices.
The restaurant was Great! Very friendly staff! We felt a bit rushed with our waiter, but we knew going in how much time we wanted to spend there so we controlled the ordering and how long we sat. I was looking forward to trying their tiramisu but they did not have any left. Will definitely be going back.
We have lived in the area for 2.5 years and finally find a good Italian restaurant. Liberatores will become our go to restaurant for Italian.
A real Italian restaurant. Excellent and excellent staff and management.
Exceptional as always! Our waiter left us alone - FANTASTIC! Nothing worse then a waiter who constantly interrupts with "is everything all right". If it wasn't we would let them know.
Only down size would be the booths. They are too narrow for the average person to slide in and be comfortable. We saw an elderly lady, who was disabled struggling to fit into the booth. (The new restaurant Bamboo Gardens has great booths. They are sofas that can be moved forward or backward - check it out)
Other than that you have a loyal customer here. : )
Our waitress Liz is remarkable. She was there when anything was needed. Very friendly and a great personality. Thank you.
Great food and service! Wonderful Christmas Eve meal with family.
Very disappointed with the overall service. Took over an hour to receive the food. Also took close to 40 min to receive the drinks that were ordered upon being seated. Out drink Order was placed 4 times before we received them. The food was good, but the unacceptable waits and service overshadowed the food.
Our waiter Tim was great. Very friendly without being fake, just the right amount of table side banter. The food was good, not great. Service was excellent.
This was our second dining experience in recent years. We had hoped it would be better than the first, but it's just not so. I do not understand the Stellar ratings that this restaurant in Bel Air gets for its food when the food is just mediocre. I ordered lasagna. That should be easy enough for an Italian restaurant, right? But it tasted as if it were two days old, and the presentation was not at all appetizing. The following day, I lunched at the Olive Tree in Aberdeen and my friend ordered their lasagna. It was fresh and delicious and it even looked like lasagna, which I could not say or Liiberatore's. So that's it. After letting me down on a dinner for eight family members about 2 years ago, they finally got a second chance. It would be nice if they could serve fresh food as Scotto's used to do.
