Libby's Cafe & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Great food, very good service, diverse menu, attractive setting - what could be better? Being able to hear each other, table of 4 at rightsized square table. Being able to have a lovely relaxing lunch, worthy of the food served and company at the table. Once again, the noise level at a Friday lunch was unbearable. Even as I was trying to talk to hostess re table, cane, pain, the manager, I think, had to step up and explain that she couldn't hear me because of the noise.
All in all, it's a nice restaurant. The food is good and so is the service. What turns me away usually is the noise level. It was a light crowd, plenty of quieter booths to have seated us. Yet, the hostess put us right next to a noisy table. I should have refused. So, you can't visit much there. Just enjoy the food and go elsewhere to visit.
We went for Sunday Brunch and it was delicious! The bottomless bloody mary and mimosa bar had lots of options, not just for add-in's but in terms of vodka and juices too. The brunch menu was tasty, and you could also order from the full lunch/dinner options. It was a great time with adequate service and a fun atmosphere.
Libbys never disappoints us. The menu offers a wide variety of seafood, chops,
pasta, etc. I had the kobe meatloaf which is the best I have ever had. Prices
are reasonable, and the service is always attentive without being overbearing.
When the weather is right, I recommend dining outside.
Four of us had dinner last Saturday night. Two of the guests were strict vegan and we were able to accommodate their needs. My husband and i enjoyed the Savor Sarasota menu and were very pleased with the choices and the service provided. I believe we will be back. I know my vegan friends were thrilled and said this restaurant is a keeper on the options lists.
I have hesitated to visit Libby's because when crowded it can be quite noisy inside. Although we asked for an outside table for that reason, it was quite sunny and warm so we moved inside to a quiet corner. The restaurant was uncrowded so it stayed fairly quiet and we could hear our guests w/o problem.
Beautiful restaurant In lovely neighborhood. However noisy with poor lighting. Menu was limited and seems to cater to locals. Prices are all over the board but mostly ala cart. Prices very expensive even drinks during happy hour. Waiter was fair. Great special occasion location with large rooms for bigger parties. Outside sidewalk seating available. I won't be going back anytime soon. Lots of other choices in town.
We always enjoy the brunch buffet, which Libby's has on special occasions (this time it was Mother's Day). A grand selection of our favorites, plus some new choices. Always eat too much, but never regret it later. One of our favorite places at any time, it's extra special when they have a brunch buffet.
We dined on Mother's Day for the buffet brunch. It was quite busy, but getting food or getting to the pleasantly priced mimosa/bloody mary bar was no issue. The spread was top-notch with fantastic selections from breakfast and lunch. Probably 50 or so items, including; fresh seafood, lamb, prime rib, omelettes, and an assortment of pastries and dessert items. I would definitely recommend this place and I would advise to go on an empty stomach.
