Lexx Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Our server - Jodi was wonderful.. The chef accommodated a small change in the ingredients of
our entree, the menu was all anyone could ask for and the cost more than reasonable. This was a much needed date for us and it will go down as being something I hope we both remember.
Thank you to the Chef and to Jodi..
Four of us got together as my daughter was home from Germany. It was wonderful to have an evening together and everyone had a nice time. Two of us ordered vegetable stir fry. Mine was without any additions. It was a very generous portion and delicious!!! Both of us had enough to take some home.
My daughter ordered the scallop special and she totally enjoyed it. Scallops are not available in Germany so she was delighted and also found the meal quite tasty.
Our lastguest just got a salad. But that is on thing that appeals to us about Lexx, the menu ususally has something for everyone!
Our waitress was good, but seemed to be on without enough staff. She brought us two cups of tea and then we had to wait a bit too long for the other teas. Long enough that we had to ask again.
Lexx is a favorite restaurant for us for lunch or dinner. The biggest hassle is the limited parking. When we got out, it had rained and we had to walk a couple of blocks. The rain had turned to ice so the bricks were like a skating rink...extremely dangerous. We ultimately had to walk in the street to avoid a fall.
Consistent - Lexx is always good - never feel like its great..but also never feel disappointed. Everything is good, nothing is great, nothing is bad. Group of 4 of us had four different main courses..we all were happy. Wines by the glass are interesting..a nice touch. Cocktail options are inspired. Always make Lexx part of our local routine as its a great resource for Lexington Center.
Chose this place for a business lunch and the orders were quite different across the table salads to sandwiches to entrees. The menu was able to appease everyone and the food itself was top notch with a Mediterranean flair. I would recommend to others and would like to go back with my wife to try the stew! Wait staff was friendly and accommodating as well.
We have been here for lunch before and it was good. They really fell down New Years Eve. We had to send one cocktail back and two others were undrinkable. They seemed to have the C team on at the bar. The food was okay but couldnt overcome the bad start. Calamari appetizer very chewy. Soba noodles with shrimp was good as was the chicken, but the atmosohere was dull even if it had been a regular weekend night but to be lackluster for New Years Eve is really inexcusable. No wonder we could get a reservation any time we wanted. The staff didnt even seem like they wanted to be there.
/fooled again! Hadn't been to Lexx for a while, and although we have had the occasional good meal here, most of our experiences in the past have been mediocre. Had another noisy, mediocre meal this time. The service was friendly but spotty, we didn't get our first course until we had been seated for almost a half hour, and the bar area where we were seated was very loud. My husband had the overly sweet and fatty osso buco. I had the grilled meatloaf, a huge portion too flavorless to even want to finish with gravy that tasted like it came out of a can. We won't go again.
Our greeter was downright grumpy when he saw that one of the adults brought a 9 month old in a carrier and we had not included the baby in the reservation. The baby did not eat so she was not included in the reservation. Apparently our table had to be shifted so that there would be enough room for her on a bassinet.
He was rude and offputting about this when there was no reason to be
We live in Lexington so eat at Lexx pretty regularly, it's a great go to spot. The food has been consistently excellent, and this visit was no exception. I had the pasta special, which was seafood scampi - 2 huge shrimps, lots of bay scallops and about 10 of the cleanest mussels I've ever had. The pasta and sauce were excellent, I love good pasta and this qualified. My husband had his standard grilled salmon, which they do very well. He loves the spicy rice cake that comes with it.
Treated friends to lunch. We all live in Lexington but hadn't tried Lexx before. We thought the restaurant decor was very attractive and soothing. Friends had burgers, they looked good but I didn't ask how they were. I had a salad, which was close to $20 (at lunch) topped with a single grilled chicken breast. Salad was nothing special at all, not even particularly generous size, just mesclun with vinagraitte and a few flakes of parmesan. So overall not great value, but ambiance was nice, service was very good, and it is obviously popular for weekday lunches.
We enjoy Lexx very much.. Three out of four were happy with dinner. Grilled meatloaf lacked some flavor.
It was a very busy night..our waitress was pleasant but not fantastic.. Didn't ask how burger should be cooked (although it came out perfect for me). No ketchup delivered with burger and had to wait a bit before waitress returned.
Please take this as honest feedback and not criticism.. We still recommend and will continue to dine at Lexx.
Reliable and friendly
I am always surprised how constant this place is. In fact it has gotten even better. Clean, comfortable seating. Menu is eclectic and adventurous, a nice number of offerings on one page. Interesting and tempting. Their Morrocan dish is wonderful. Great fish dishes. Service is very good though at busy times a bit frantic. We really love it that a place of this quality is in Lexington.
Although we have enjoyed this restaurant in the past, this visit was an exception. The server barely seemed to know if there was a special. The drinks came after the salad and then immediately afterwards the mains. (I still love the Lexx salad.) Roasted vegetables were both hard and burned. Burger was good.
We may try again because of past meals but I cannot recommend for friends.
The food was delicious and the service was so prompt. The dining area is small and we found it very noisy. We ended up staying awhile, ordered another round of drinks, and we noticed the place cleared out by 4pm and our waiter started using a sweeper to clean the floor, even coming around parts of our table while we were there. It was loud. And we felt rushed to then leave, even though the restaurant was open until evening. Perhaps lunch was a set time and we didn't realize that we had to leave, so this could have been a misinterpretation on our part.
Worst experience ever! My wife has food allergies to onions and vinegar of which 80℅ has one of both of these items that she eat.
When we asked waitress several times if we could get chicken or fish and substitute items that she is allergic she would not do it.
For the money this service is the worst. A good have said let me check with chef or let me bring the manager, not the case with Lexx.
It is too bad, we just moved to Lexington and looking for a new place, but will go back to Lexx, ever.
