We have seldom been disappointed at Lexington Square. We can almost always count on tasty food and courteous service. We have moved to another community but will probably return to Lexington Square for an occasional treat.
Love Lexington. We go here all the time. Lot is choices and the food is excellent.
Noise level is a bit overwhelming and we sat upstairs . Food is good value for the price . Would have had more drinks & definitely dessert but our waitress was not really attentive .
We weren’t rushed at all however which was nice as we all traveled quite a distance to meet here and catch up. Servers deliver your meal & thankfully everything was perfectly cooked as our waitress did not check in with us to see if everything was ok.
Excellent food in a smart casual atmosphere. Halibut is always my favorite dish here.
I wish that I would have liked our dinner here... but nothing about our meal was mentionable.. The flatbread was assembled haphazardly and put in the oven for a few minutes resulting in a lukewarm and uncooked dish. The salmon was fine as was the chicken dish.. Dinner wasn't bad but it wasn't good either... I am hoping that we just had a bad experience but I won't be going back to try it again..
This is a very reliable go-to neighborhood restaurant. Everyone in my family always looks forward to going there. The specials were interesting and appetizing. And the regular menu is reliable. The bar is also lively and appealing.
As usual, the food and service was quite good including the special salad (tri-color). My daughter's steak was cooked perfectly and even cut for her. The only down side was that the menu was falling apart (literally ripping in the middle at the seams) which took away from the ambiance and makes you wonder if other items also aren't being treated with care.
Over the years, Lexington Square's quality has gone up and down, but in recent years it is consistently good with great service.
Our party of six was beautifully accomodated on a very busy Saturday night. Our waiter told us that they had served 230 people that day! Four of us ordered fish, which was perfectly prepared. So many restaurants over cook fish, but not Lexington Square Cafe! An entree of shrimp and octopus with gnocchi came without the octopus, which was quickly remedied. In fact, a whole new plate instantly came out of the kitchen, along with a sincere apology. The remaining two in our party ordered steak. Both were excellent cuts of beef and were prepared perfectly to order. In spite of the crowd, the service could not have been better. All courses appeared in a timely manner. Our waiter was efficient, helpful, and friendly. A mention of a birthday in our party brought a delightful sampling platter of various delicious desserts, one of which had a candle. The extremely busy waiter even found time to sing "Happy Birthday" with us! All in all, a fabulous dining experience!
Friends from Ct. met us halfway for lunch. Even with the price-fixe meal ( I was the only one that used it), the total meal was a bit pricey. The food itself was delicious and the gluten-free options for my friend was considerate.
We found everything to be just ok, but nothing particularly noteworthy. We felt a bit like the food was just being so routinely prepared it lacked the care and detail it once had. Now it has been a year or more since we were last here, but we were looking forward to returning and, well, we were disappointed and we won't be back. The space is beautiful but the service was impersonal and the food and drink just run of the mill.
Lexington Square Cafe was perfect for our Sunday Brunch! I loved the Asian Chicken Salad and my son loved the chocolate chip pancake with sliced banana and an omelette. The service was great and the food was delicious!
Celebrated my birthday here and it was great. From the service, to the food it was superb. The food was delivered quickly and hot. I will be back again..
This is our "go to" restaurant in town. You can get a full entree, or just a sandwich and no matter what the food is good. Diverse and interesting menu. Wish they had a whole wheat pasta option.
Solid brunch menu for a larger group celebrating
Enjoyed meal and service.
Enjoyable experience. Service and food was excellent. Noise level very high. Would consider going there after 2:00 Pm
We had a 7PM reservation for a Sunday night dinner, we were seated within 20 feet from a party with ~20 ladies having a very energetic conversations, LOUD and very annoying.
We were later offered to be moved to a more distant table from this party where the noise level was bearable but still pretty loud.
So beware you might run into this and ask before reserving if there is a party going on.
There was a large party that was ready loud and rude. If they weren’t there it would have been the perfect dinner.
Food was good. The waitress was very busy and since we don’t drink seems we were not buying enough for good attention.
Im gluten and Sugar free which seemed to through her off.
Lexington Square's fresh food and creative dishes are consistently spot on and delicious!
The salmon was not medium-rare, as I had requested. The maple syrup gnocchi in the other entree was too sweet. The server and maitre d' were aware it was my birthday, but no effort was made to help us celebrate.
Lexington Square never disappoints! Food is super good! I just love their Cesar salad! Can’t wait to go back!
Great food and great service
Attentive service, very nice complimentary pastries and muffin/blueberry cakes. The omelette was surprisingly not very good at all. Hardly at any of it.
It’s a very big place. Not cozy if that’s what you’re looking for.
The Lexington Square Cafe consistently provides great food in a comfortable atmosphere. The Ahi Tuna was superb. The desserts are excellent and provided at surprisingly reasonable prices. The wait staff is attentive and offers helpful info.
Highly recommended.
Even on a crowded night, our table was ready on time and the staff was pleasant and friendly. We both enjoyed our meals. Leave room for dessert - the chocolate chip cookie pie with caramel was delicious. Good date night.
My sole barely had the parmesan crust, very bland. Husbands steak frites was good, calamri good as well.
Came for my mother’s birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It’s a nice place for a quiet get together. A little bit pricey but probably comparable to other Mount Kisco locales.
This was a revisit after a length of time. Much as remembered: an eclectic menu in which anyone can find something, attentive wait staff, good cocktails. I was upset to see some more recent negative reviews, but our experience was consistent with past visits. We were seated opposite the bar where the low ceiling raises the noise level as proven by the fact that conversation at our table became easier as tables near us emptied.
I had looked up the menu online and was anticipating a certain entree. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was told that the entree wasn’t available for lunch. I was at the restaurant at 2 pm. That was a little disappointing. Also, the online menu showed an appetizing vegetarian option. This was not available until dinner either. The restaurant should consider keeping a vegetarian option at all times. My guest was able to enjoy an egg sandwich considering it was a Sunday. Otherwise, everyone had a good time and a good lunch. The place is very cozy and comfortable. It feels like you’re at home.
The food was amazing. I could have done without the brown paper on the table as I could only place my drink in the middle of the table or it would tip over. My friend and I split the bill and the waitress over charged each of us $5.00 so that was annoying. But really great food and ambiance.
The Lexington Square Cafe always offers good food, including many inexpensive selections and several interesting specials every day. Service is friendly and quick and there's an upstairs room where lots of people seem happy to have private parties. Recently, we enjoyed the "breakfast" selections on the brunch menu, which we hadn't tried before, and for many years we have enjoyed everything we've tried on the lunch and dinner menus -- specials most definitely included.
This was our third time dining at Lexington Square Café and it didn't disappoint. It is a nice restaurant and the food was very good. Would definitely recommend.
Good service and good food. Diverse menu with a variety of good selections
My friend and I met for a weekend lunch and it was the perfect spot. The food was delicious, the service superb, and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. I will return many, many times!
Very poor service. Waitress coukd not pronounce and did not understand specials. Cocktail was served in slightly larger than a shot glass. 2 of 4 entrees were returned as they were not cooked to order. Fillet mignon was tasteless. Extremely loud. Table was right in the middle of aisle. Even chairs ate uncomfortable. No parking. Very expensive for what it is. Have been going there for years and it has been on a steady decline. Will not return.
We have been here many times and usually have a great meal. They were super busy this night and were having a hard time keeping up. We did not see our server for a very long time. It took a long time for our dinners to come and then at least 3 of the 7 were severely overcooked - including tuna which was supposed to be sushi-grade. Food was warm but not hot. Our server told us he was "slammed" - we get it, we can see what's happening but that is not the guest's issue. There should have been some offer of a dessert or after dinner drink.
The fish was tough like a rubber. Service was bad. We didn’t finish our dinner and was asked to vacate so make room for other people. It was rude. Very noisy cannot have conversation with our friends .
Disappointing! Not worth the money.
One of our favorites places to eat! The menu options are appealing to all, and the specials never disappoint. Great service and ambiance too.
