Lexington Square Cafe Ratings and Reviews
We have been here many times and usually have a great meal. They were super busy this night and were having a hard time keeping up. We did not see our server for a very long time. It took a long time for our dinners to come and then at least 3 of the 7 were severely overcooked - including tuna which was supposed to be sushi-grade. Food was warm but not hot. Our server told us he was "slammed" - we get it, we can see what's happening but that is not the guest's issue. There should have been some offer of a dessert or after dinner drink.
Very poor service. Waitress coukd not pronounce and did not understand specials. Cocktail was served in slightly larger than a shot glass. 2 of 4 entrees were returned as they were not cooked to order. Fillet mignon was tasteless. Extremely loud. Table was right in the middle of aisle. Even chairs ate uncomfortable. No parking. Very expensive for what it is. Have been going there for years and it has been on a steady decline. Will not return.
To start we walked through a Very loud and obnoxious Group of 20 that parked Themselves at the front entrance lounge area. The host was apologizing for their behavior and rolled her eyes while seating us as if she had no control over the situation.
We proceeded to order drinks, while deciding what to get for dinner. My w my wife ordered a margarita what she had to send back three times. First margarita had no alcohol the second margarita was actually a week vodka and soda, The third margarita was all lime juice.
I ordered a half dozen oysters and simply grilled fish. When the Eyster’s came they were not completely shI
I came with my family for New Year’s Eve dinner. Very nice atmosphere! The food was great quality and delicious. The staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend to friends and will return! Looking forward to coming back when the wether is warm and dine outdoors.
We booked Lexington Square Cafe for our annual girls holiday dinner. We loved that we were placed in a nook up front away from the crowd so we didn't have a lot of background noise and the long oval shaped table was perfect for a party of 10. The food choices were excellent and the service was fabulous! I look forward to returning again soon.
Lexington Square Cafe is an excellent restaurant. There is always something for everyone. The food never dissapoints. My husband and I both had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly and my children loved there meals. We have been there many times and will continue to go. Thank you.
Great brunch with highly varied menu, presently very well. Flexible with customized requests and terrific service. Hospitable. A neighborhood favorite.
Recommend requesting seating upstairs for the least noisy experience. (High ceilings and lively crowd equal moderate noise level on busy Sunday afternoons).
We have gone there many times. Last Saturday night was our first disappointment. The service was inattentive and unprofessional. After bringing the wrong dish, she returned ten minutes later with the correct main, but the same (and now cold) side dishes.
My wife's salmon was way over-cooked and bland.
My filet of sole was cooked correctly but bland.
We view this as an aberration and will go again and hope that proves to be the case (an aberration).
It was completely full and extremely loud. We had to shout to be heard. We would never go there on a Saturday night again.
We selected the Lexington Square Cafe for my husbands 50th birthday dinner. Overall we had a good time. Food was good and we were on the second floor so it was quiet enough that we could have a pleasant conversation. Waitress spilled an entire glass of wine on one of my guests at dinner and never apologized. Didn't even acknowledge that she spilled the wine. Walked away to get another glass. The restaurant manager did not even come over to offer dry cleaning for my friend who was wet through our entire dinner. We had to get our own napkins to dry things up. It was a disgrace. Waitress also did a horrible job with our wine service pouring 6 -7 ounces for first few guest leaving the last 2 with about a tablespoon of wine in each glass.
Never tried this restaurant before but love it's partners' restaurants so gave it a try. Did not disappoint - food fresh and tasty, service quick and they knew not to hover as we were there for a friend's reunion. Overall, a super experience and can't wait to go there again!
Waiter appeared to be was very inexperienced, but tried very hard.
Seems that the menu has been down sized, from what I can recall.
Food was good, but in my opinion, over priced for what it was . There are better restaurants in town at the same price point.
Again, as I indicated, given all of the above the food was very acceptable.
