Nice, expensive diner vibe, with a good mix of age groups and ethnicities. Went for brunch on a Saturday morning with husband as a quick and easy Mommy/Daddy date. Definitely one of the pricier brunches, don't expect a bottomless option. It was surprisingly busy, so I was glad we had a reservation. We sat in a corner next to another older couple (wish we had a little more privacy). Noticed music playing at a low volume, like low enough where you could actually enjoy conversation. We had classic and mango passion bellinis while we waited, they were as good enough for a 2nd round. I ordered the benedict of the week - which had crab meat and avocado. With potatoes and salad on the side, it was overall delicious and filling. However, I didn't care much for the crab meat and personally the avocado wasn't ripe enough (guess I should've had it with salmon or canadian bacon). Next time I think I'll try the lobster roll or steak and eggs. Hubby had chicken and waffles, no complaints there, it was also delicious! We also ordered sides of bacon and sweet potato hash brown. Bacon was really yummy, and perfectly thick and crispy! Hash was not so yummy, should've sent it back. We were looking for the sweetness of a sweet potato or saltiness of classic hash and got neither. Tasted very bland with a tiny jolt of onion from the chives. Service was polite, had good recommendations, and timely. We didn't feel rushed, but also didn't feel abandoned by our waiter. Ended our meals with an espresso for him, and a cappuccino for me, which was very lovely, and exactly what we needed to snap back into parent mode! Deducted a star for the hash brown, and also the seating because the volume and close proximity of the other tables was a little distracting, and makes you feel like your're eves dropping or like the table next to you is.
Great food, convenient to my work, with enough vegetarian dishes on the menu to keep my wife happy. Staff was very courteous and attentive. There was some kind of work party ramping up at the bar just a couple tables away and that was distracting. They say us in a table in a corner by a pillar, which was a little uncomfortable for me but not too bad, and I kind of liked it because it blocked the noise from the bar.
This is my top go-to place during lunch time to meet with friends. It is a place that is "conversation friendly" and is comfortable. I also love that they have vegan options and the food here is well-made and delicious.
Our reservation was at 730am, and there was a lack of service. It seemed staff came onboard around 8a, and then service was much better. Food was very good.
perfect place to have relaxing lunch before heading to LGA
Went with a group service and food was nice and quick.
We dined on a quiet evening but we loved the food, the atmosphere and the staff was super friendly and nice. I will definitely go back!
The food is incredible and so delicious!! Each of us raves about our meal for days later. Great service.
I was surprised that for restaurant week $26 we actually paid $29 for our meal. The food was okay but did not meet our expectations for dining for restaurant week.
It was a great dining experience. The food was fabulous, especially the truffle fries. It is loud in there, but not so much so as to disturb conversation.
So Devine to find gluten free waffles and pancake brunch options! Presentation was beautiful and everything exceeded our expectations. Drinks were delicious too. atmosphere was fun and inviting while elegant.
Best brunch maybe ever! Try the chicken and waffles, cinnamon roll pancakes, eggs benedict of the week (mine was lobster and avocado), or avocado toast. Or frankly almost anything else. The yogurt fruit parfait was the best I have ever had. I asked them where they buy their yogurt...alas...it's house made. YUM.
The weekend brunch here is a Bucket List item!
Food and service was excellent, as well as the atmosphere. Enjoyed dinner so much, we returned for breakfast the next morning. Highly recommended!!
Always a great spot. Good energy, great service and excellent food. Cauliflower and Octopus appetizers are to die for. Fried chicken and burger exceptional. Affiliated with 48Lex Hotel which is nice as well.
My friends surprised me for my 40th. I had been there before and loved the drinks and the food. They are super accommodating and nice and the food is amazing. The drinks are strong and I love it. They aren’t skimpy with the alcohol. I had a great time and would definitely go back.
Never disappoints! Food and service are always impeccable.
I just wish their tables weren't so close together, or that they had a coat/bag check.
food was fantastic! We enjoyed restaurant week brunch and the weekly eggs benedict was fantastic!
Excellent menu and service.
Food was amazing, service was amazing. 10/10
Wait staff was pretty rude - we made a reservation online that morning (4 hours earlier), although they denied we had a reservation they managed to seat pretty fast. Our waitress was really nice and attentive and the food was pretty good for the price. The restaurant was nice although it would have been nicer to be seated at the windows instead of in the back.
Food was delicious. It took about 15 minutes for our server to come to us initially, but quality service after that.
Great food and great fun, the pork chop is amazing as is the chargrilled octopus; lovely cocktails and wine list. Added to which lovely jolly staff, what’s not to like!
Luckily, we had teservations because it was very crowded - a good sign! Server was excellent!!
Excellent food and good service. The drinks were good too. Environment a bit too dark and too noisy. Couldn’t hear the person next to me.
I visited for restaurant week. Great variety on the menu and very delicious.
Wonderful experience for restaurant week. The staff were so helpful in choosing options and providing recommendations! They were spot on!
Our waiter was too busy talking to all the customers, rather than waiting on his customers. The kitchen screwed up our order twice.
Waiter was not attentive....took forever to get the check.
AMAZING EATERY WITH WONDERFUL SERVICE COMBINED WITH A GREAT LOCATION!
Very nice spot definitely worth a try. Great food great drinks great service.
Did not have to wait for a table. Server was excellent. Gave great recommendations. Food was wonderful esp eggs Benedict with lobster and avocado.
Good food, but quite expensive for the quality/service/variety.
Located right across the street from my hotel , the IHG Barclay , this makes a convenient restaurant for breakfast . I always order the avocado toast, and it's amazing . The atmosphere is cozy and the service is top notch . I'm sure it would be ideal for lunch and dinner as well , as I have yet to try it then .
Love the vegan options! The cauliflower appetizer and impossible burger are excellent.
Consistently good food with plenty of options. Always crowded but service is good.
I typically enjoy the restarant more. This week there was something on my latte cup which the server kept tryng to get off with a napkin with the coffee in fron of me. I finally asked if he could please bring me a new cup which he did but it was off-putting.
Dinner meeting with co-worker visiting from Germany. We both really enjoyed the meal, and the quality was impeccable. Definitely will be returning.
Great brunch, congenial staff, vibrant room with a nice buzz.
Great food, wonderful ambience! We loved brunch; a decent amount of vegetarian options and loved the cinnamon roll pancakes.
The food is unique and so flavorful. Great service too
