The portion size of the small plates and REALLY small. However, the price of the plates are about what an actual meal at most other places. The mixed drinks are good. If I go back, I will just order and share the tuna, beet salad and french fries. The rest of the menu is just ok. A 'real' small plates restaurant is Ambar in DC and Virginia. They offer very good food, smaller servings to share and try things but the prices are 1/2 what Level charges. I give Level credit, they charge for a meal and give less than an appetizer! What a business model!
The food was ok but came up short with each small plate. We were also put in a room with a loud 20 person birthday party which destroyed any chance of enjoying the night.
Great, light meal in beautiful setting. Convenient location and excellent service. Highly recommend.
I would be devastated if I missed dining at Levels when I visit Annapolis. The food is very good and well served. We are welcomed at the door and seated in an area which is very comfortable and we request ahead of time.
The management should be applauded for what must be excellent training and supervision to maintain the high standards which exist over time in the areas of food and service.
Excellent tapas restaurant, with the recommended 2 to 3 plates per person proving to be a little too much. Our group of four ordered seven dishes, and we were all pretty full. Food once again delicious, excellently and lovingly prepared. We would have liked a little more guidance from our waiter regarding the selections.
Great drinks and food but the cost of some of the small plates were as much as an entrée in other restaurants.
We enjoyed everything! Salmon bruchetta and scallops were our favorites. My husband loved the fries and lamb meatballs and Samantha our server was fantastic.
The food and atmosphere are top notch. Lamb meatballs, new to the menu, were amazing.
Cocktails are amazing, their small plates are delicious. We all ordered a chartucerie board to split and then 2 plates each and that seemed to be enough. 3 probably wouldn't have hurt if you're really hungry!
Everyone in Level was great and helpful.
Level never disappoints! The menu changes often and the dishes are very creative and delicious. The duck confit was fantastic as were the fried brussel sprouts. We also had an amazing pork chop cacciatore and sauteed mushroom salad. Wonderful all!
Another fine tapas experience at Level. Service was most excellent - Jake was our server and took great care of our table of six. Most memorable dishes - the cauliflower dip and brussels sprouts were the most memorable. That dip alone is worth the trip - and I'm not a cauliflower fan. Good drink/wine selection. Highly recommend.
The lighting in the front room is so bright! We were laughing with the table next to us about how we can see the flaws in our makeup under the brights lights.
The food wasn’t as good as previous occasions. I guess my expectations were high. I’ll go back to try it again, I have had wonderful meals at Level before... but I will never, ever sit under the lights of the front room again!
I have been here a few times. The food is really good, and it’s a fun place to either go on a date or hang out with friends. It’s a little pricey but I really don’t care (it’s usually my fault anyway for ordering too much!).
Overall, very good. Waiter was great and the food was excellent!
The food was so good
The server was very nice and knew all about the menu choices
We had a fantastic dining experience
DELICIOUS. SO YUMMY. The cauliflower was scrumptious and the Brussels sprouts are to die for. The coconut shrimp wraps were great too and my friend loved her duck confit. Jake was a very attentive server. I've been several times and look forward to returning soon.
The food was delicious from starter plates to dessert!!! Our only complaint is that the drinks we ordered (sangria and margaritas) were chockful of ice that greatly diluted the flavor--and probably alcohol-content--of the beverages. Stick to the wines or cocktails that are normally not served with ice cubes.
Food is always great, tasty and beautiful presentation. Staff is very knowledgeable and great customer service.
We have been to Level many times and have previously had great service and food. This time however our waiter wasn’t attentive and was not professional when we complained about the slow service. We will take some time before returning because of his incident.
Food and our server Jake was great!
Great find in Annapolis! The small plates allowed us to try many items from the menu. The bar was excellent, hand-crafted cocktails. Solid wine list, lots to enjoy here.
My husband and I had a wonderful meal celebrating his birthday. The Brussels Sprouts and Duck were amazing!
This place is great and the service is fantastic. Not bad priced for a date night and the cocktails were delicious. Cheese plate was perfect and the Spicy Tuna was on point!
Get the cheesecake or the cookies at the end of the night!!!!!!!!
We had such an amazing dinner our first time that we returned the next night! The apple & arugula salad with blue cheese was so fresh and flavorful and you must order the hand cut fries with Thyme! The second night the fries were crispier, but both nights excellent. The highlight dishes are the tuna tartar -amazing flavor and again super fresh, the braised short rib with carrot puree - the most tender and delicious I have ever eaten. Our server was not only attentive - but super helpful in answering questions and even made our reservation for the next night! Having traveled to many places, including NYC, London, Boston, etc., this restaurant is truly top notch. We did not have any of their signature cocktails, but they too looked fantastic. Our two wine selections were perfect with our dinners. Highly recommend.
Service was very good and the food was great!
Food was good but nothing special. I had higher expectations. For the value of the food I was expecting a higher class of service. Servers and hostesses in jeans and sneakers while our bill was an easy $150 for the two of us. Server was great. Drinks were good. Food was good again not amazing.
Outstanding food and service! We ordered 7 small plate items for the 2 of us, and all of them were just excellent. The grilled scallops and biscuits with rabbit gravy were especially delicious. A little pricey, but the top quality and taste of the food were definitely worth it. I understand the menu is seasonal. We'll definitely be back.
I eat out a lot and am rarely surprised any more. This was a true FIND!
First timer and went for Valentine’s day: this is a small plates restaurant. So you can go wild with the variety — and we did! It’s a basic party by trying the different plates and they were tremendous! Try this: instead of a traditional dessert, try their butternut squash donuts, which is listed as an appetizer. Healthy and oh so good!
Also, an open lively atmosphere in the hip part of Annapolis. You will love it!
Great small plates to share - Food was very good. Custom cocktails were also good and the environment was perfect for an eveing with friends.
Evening out with special friends.
Delicous small plates to share! Outstanding customer service!
Level's is always consistent. The portions are great for sharing and makes for a casual evening. The drinks are AMAZING. It is noisy.
Food was excellent. Menu was varied and had many good options for all tastes. Sweet potato pie for dessert was incredible
Food is great. Lots of different options and styles. Low key atmosphere and the service was outstanding. Very comfortable - not pretentious at all.
excellent food! great service! wonderful staff! cant wait to return!
Food was good. We were pretty much the only ones in there as it was 9:30. We were served quickly. Food and wine were great. Would definitely go there again on a weekend when it is more lively
They no longer serve flatbreads (which breaks my heart), but every one of their small plates is a hit in my book. And don't miss the 360-gimlet cocktail.
Level was phenomenal. All 6 plates we tried were amazing.. The savory donuts were incredible. Highly recommend
