Level Small Plates Lounge
I’ve been to Level on weeknights before and the food and service are usually quite good. This time I went on a weekend evening and was disappointed with the poor execution of menu items, mostly in the form of little to no seasoning. Also, for a restaurant that touts serving what’s locally available, the menu scarcely makes noticeable change with the seasons.
We absolutely loved our experience. Our server was excellent, knowledgeable with great attitude. His recommendations from the menu and bar were superb. We will definitely be back.
Delightful dining experience with delicious food and drink. Looking forward to a return trip!
The service was great, as was the drinks and food. We tried many different plates and ended up being a lot of fun for the group.
The 5 or 6 small plates we tried were very good. Loved the freshness of the ingredients. The hand made cocktails are to die for!
We had a great time celebrating my daughters birthday. Josh was an excellent server and very attentive. The food was amazing as always! Level is one of our favorite restaurants! We'll be back soon for my birthday!!!
Food was exceptional as always and the value is second to none. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Annapolis!
We tried a ton of plates and they were all great. The drinks were also great. Good spot for friends to just get together over food and drinks and socialize together.
The food is always outstanding, with interesting seasonal specials. Service was terrific and the drinks - no one else can compare to their cocktails, especially the famed Gimlet! Keep doing what you're doing,
Fantastic meal with amazing service. It’s a must go!
This was a birthday dinner for my mother-in-law. There was some concern because we had our 15 & 11 year old children, but Level Small Plates did not disappoint. It ended up being a great evening, and everyone enjoyed the food they order and the food others ordered as well!!
I generally really like Level but they were a little off their usual excellence this time, taking longer with some of our orders and serving cold coffee (which was replaced and removed from the bill so no harm no foul). We’ll still be back because we love the innovative food ideas and friendly service.
One of my favorite spots in Annapolis! So good and accomodating for food allergies. Service has always been top notch. It can get loud at peak times, but I have also been there when the crowd is more settled. It's all in the atmosphere...love it!
Fresh ingredients don’t need to be over salted
Food was delicious, service was good, cute venue. On the pricier side, but not outrageous by any means. Would go back again!
Very pleasantly surprised , outstanding food, service and over all experience, I would highly recommend to anyone.
Service was fast and the food was really good. The plates came out with good spacing in between plates.
Always enjoy the cocktails and food here. Everything we ordered had a lot of flavor- tuna tartare, chorizo dip were our favorites of the night.
This used to be our FAVORITE restaurant in Annapolis. I was a little disappointed this go around. The food presentation wasn't as beautiful as it usually is. I will say the cauliflower, which the server recommended was SUPERB. Literally, one of the best things I've ever eaten. The ahi tuna didn't appear to be the best grade, a few pieces were red but some were kind of cloudy in color. The seafood paella was wonderful! I loved 2 of the six dishes, 3 were good, and 1 I didn't care for at all. I still love the Level Gimlet and will continue to go there for those!
Great food, great ambiance.
It took a long time to order drinks and food, but once that happened service was better
Father’s day was perfect .
Amazing food! Everything we tried was delicious. We were just sorry not to have room to try everything on the menu!
Very creative chef here at Level and I really enjoyed trying all of the different offerings, meat, seafood, chicken, cheese and I think the crispy cauliflower was the best thing I've ever eaten. Fantastic. Finished up with the warm milk and cookies! I highly recommend them! We ordered several items and our attentive waitress spread out the timing of our order just as we had requested so we wouldn't feel rushed and had time to savor our wine between courses. In general we had a really enjoyable experience and will definitely be back.
Amazing great night food and ambiance.
Loved it! Server recommended the cauliflower..it was the best surprise on the menu
Great - all the food was fabulous- I loved the chicken pate - that was a very small sample- there would not have been enough if each one of us 4 wanted to taste it. Thank goodness only one other person liked it so we split it but even then it was just two bites. (Board of cheeses) Really outstanding!
I thought every dish was served differently than I’d ever tried - all delicious- gazpacho yum- warm kale, spinach ?with mushrooms was remarkable. I’ve never had so many mushrooms of different varieties each one was yummy.
Peanut butter pie ice cream flavor from Green Mt. Yea! We expected pieces of pie until I asked our waiter how big the pieces were he said “no it’s ice cream”
The only gripe I have was I felt gauged, taken advantaged of by the price of delicious house Chardonnay. 3 or 4 ounces for $11? I asked our waiter how much a 2nd glad would be & I thought he said $11. I would not have enjoyed the meal as much without the wine- but $22. was overboard for my usual one 6-8 ounce glass. The price of wine didn’t “match” the price of food - which was reasonable especially considering how delicious, unusual the food was. With a house Chardonnay I was expecting $8.00 for the small glass of wine! I’ve told my friends yesterday and today how unusually delicious everything was! I warned them to ask about the price of wine before they ordered. I told them if I would have known my first glass was $11. I would have slowed down and spaced it out over my meal.
Our reservation was at 5:30 and we enjoyed a leisurely dinner. We left at 7:20 to get to Colonial Players by 8:00.
I’ll be back because it was one of the best meals I’ve had! You beat Tapas I had in Spain & Italy! But I’ll have to figure out what to do about the wine.
I absolutely love Level. The menu is always changing, so it keeps it interesting and fresh. The small plates let you have a lot of different flavors and keep you from feeling like you made the wrong choice in ordering. It's great for a date night or a dinner with a group of friends and family.
The food was great! My friends and I got to try so many dishes and were pleasantly surprised by the sizes despite them being called "small plates". I highly recommend the primavera pasta, cauliflower, and tuna tartar. The service was very fast on a Saturday night. Cocktails were also great.
This was out first visit and I doubt we'll return. The food was good but not stellar and we felt the price was a bit high for the amount of food. Yes, it's small plates but the prices were a little high for the offering.
Level was great all around. Food was excellent and service was attentive and friendly. On par with similar type restaurants in DC. Will be back!
The air conditioning was so cold it felt like a meat locker. Some of the small plates were marginal at best. Bartender failed to make the drink as I had ordered.
This is one of our "go to" places for good food. Our recent trip was no exception as the food was wonderful and the service very good. Our only problem was how cold it was in the restaurant. The temperature outside was in the 80's and people were dressed accordingly but everyone who was smart enough to bring a sweater or jacket used them. It was almost bad enough to leave the restaurant.
Food really was phenomenal and well paced. Cocktails were well mixed too!
We’ve dined at Level many times and it’s one of our favorite spots in Annapolis. This visit however they’ve added chopped red hot chilies to everything (even the Brussels sprouts)! Everything was still delicious but just a little too spicy (and we like spice). Also the AC was blasting and all the diners were visibly very cold. Turn down the AC and cut out the chili peppers and it would have been another home run! As always the bread pudding was AMAZING! We’ll be back, but will be sure to instruct them to leave the chili’s off!
Great service! Nice wine selection. Shared the seafood charcuterie - fabulous! Then shared the short ribs and cauliflower. Everything tasting great.
All the food was delicious! A varied selection. Everyone was happy!
Perfect setting for our Mother’s Day celebration for 10. Fun trying all the different foods and cocktails were delicious! Thanks for facilitating us and making our Mother’s Day memorable!
