   The staff from the time we walked through the door until we left were absolutely top notch. Tristan was our waiter and was at the ready throughout our dinner. The food was delicious and the pace of receiving our apps through to desert was right on par with providing a relaxed yet efficient experience. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this meal and without prompting, my wife received two beautiful long stem roses and also a delicious desert on the house to help us celebrate. We have dined here several times and each experience is a home run and consistently one of the best dining experiences to be had anywhere in Southwest Missouri. Happy, happy customers!!

   It looked and acted like white linen fine dining. The menu had all the typical high end steakhouse fare. The plating was good. But every-single-dish was pretty meh. The food was well prepared but poorly executed in terms of seasoning, finishing, etc. some key menu items were not available. As an example, the steaks were properly cooked (medium was medium), but lacked the character of a flavorful crust or unique cooking style (think buttery sear at Ruth’s Chris or hint of smoke via wood firing). We had dates, Brussels sprouts, cowboy ribeye, scallops, mashed potatoes, broccolini, creamed corn and kids butter noodles (all three had steak too). All were meh. So for full high end steakhouse prices we got kind of a chain meal (my kids summed it up with “we should have gone to salt grass steakhouse…3 times”). Sorry, we wanted to like you. Oh, the butter cake was actually pretty good.

   I really would like them to go back to their three side sampler and not fry the deviled eggs, but that is just a particular personal preference.

   This was our second visit to Level 2 Steakhouse. We waited for 15 minutes after our reservation time at the entryway because the maitre d had walked away. We finally flagged down a waitress who promptly sat us at our table. Other than that, we had a fantastic meal. The food was delicious. We had the crispy deviled eggs, a ribeye, cheese noodles and whipped potatoes. For dessert we had the butter cake, a port and an espresso martini.

    What a wonderful experience our first time to this establishment! The service was beyond exceptional. The food was just as exceptional. We had the Pan Seared Ahi Tuna as an appetizer. They bring it on a bed of Himalayan pink salt. The Paloma was wonderful for us nondrinkers and they even gave us a taste of the nonalcoholic bourbon. I had the Filet, and my fiancée had the KC Strip. We shared the creamed spinach and the parmesan truffle fries and for my fiancees birthday we got the Cheesecake. I loved that the menus were already placed on the table for us instead of the hostess having to carry them while seating us. They bring you a set of knives to choose what you would like to use to cut your steak. I have never seen this before. Different touches that were a nice surprise. They were setting up for a wedding party and adding roses and rose petals to the table across from us. This is a wonderful place for not only a special occasion but also a place to get above and beyond treatment. Highly recommend even at the higher price :-) It's worth it. Our server, Anton, was personable and attentive. I would ask for him again. The food and beverage manager, Matthew, came by a few times to check on us and even found out we live in the same city.
