We are located in a 1795 Colonial with small dining rooms, fireplaces and beautiful Vermont ambience. Our success over 31 years can be attributed to consistently excellent food. As your chef, I cook every meal and oversee every aspect of our kitchen. We specialize in American Contemporary with a focus on the highest quality, local Vermont ingredients. Our main dishes always include premium grass fed beef, duck two ways, double thick pork chop, rack of lamb, cedar planked salmon, jumbo sea scallops and vegan specials. Desserts are made in house daily by Leslie and are both unique and delicious.

Our service is directed by Leslie, my wife. She greets every guest and is constantly monitoring the dining experience. We like to think we are the total dining experience as evidenced by our being one of the highest graded restaurant in New England on Open Table (2017)

Always a pleasure dining at Leslie’s! My husband asked me what I was going to have before we got there. This is one restaurant where I can say I need to wait to see the menu. There are definitely items always on the menu like the amazing crab cake appetizer. But I look forward to the dinner selection as it’s always got some interesting surprises. And I ALWAYS save room for dessert. The dessert selection is as good as the main course! My husband has known Leslie and John a long time. We are so very fortunate to have a restaurant of this caliber in a small town. We will be back, again and again!!

We had pot stickers for appetizers, Delicous!
I had a ceasar salad that was amazing in its flavor.
WE had NY strip steaks and steak tips, they were all delicious, add the fingerling potatoes, the squash, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal with Mom.
Mom enjoyed the Orange Broule and we shared a carrot cake.
We love taking our time, Leslie waits until we are finished with one part of the meal before she brings out the next portion.
John cooks a delicious meal, we really love coming for special occasions or sharing with family from out of town.

We drive by this outstanding restaurant regularly but had not been there till recently. It was so nice to not be rushed and able to talk and even enjoy the soothing music. The food was very good from the starter course to the desert. My steak was wonderful! I highly recomend this cozy fine dining establisment

The food was excellent and the wait staff is friendly and efficient. The mushroom soup was delicious. The rack of lamb and the duck were both done perfectly to order. The downside to the evening was since it was New Years Eve the kitchen, while turning out excellent food, was overwhelmed by the crowd and therefore extremely slow.

I've been to Leslie's twice and both times the food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it. The wait staff is attentive without being hovering. I love the ambiance of the place also. The price is a little high for our budget, so we save Leslie's for special occasions. It's tiny, so I suggest a reservation.

We were on a winter getaway in Vermont and stumbled upon Leslie's while looking for a nice spot for dinner, and we're glad we did! The restaurant is super cute, and everything we ordered was delicious. I had the mushroom soup and lamb, while my partner had french onion soup and veal. We split a lava cake for dessert, and left full and satisfied. The wine list was short but full of good options.

As noted in other reviews, service was a bit slow on the slow side, but not annoyingly so. The waiter and Leslie herself were both extremely nice, and clearly working hard. A couple extra minutes to linger over the last glug of wine certainly isn't the worst thing in the world.

If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we'll definitely be back!
