Good food, live music is good, not loud. Ambience is perfect for a nite out with few friends. Coming back soon.

I work across the street and previously came here multiple times a week for several years. I stopped coming as I and those that dined with me got sick three times in a row from different items. This is the first visit after 9 months. I got sick after eating here again - this time from the salmon. I have not had this issue with other places in the area so there much be a cleanliness issue.

My office is nearby and I have (mostly) business lunches at Les Zygomates almost every week. Wonderful atmosphere, interesting menu with a range of options, and very reasonably priced considering the quality of the atmosphere and service. I have also been for evening cocktails and for dinner & jazz, which were also great experiences

We sat close to the stage and we moved to the bar area after dinner. The performance was great that my friend and I enjoyed it a lot. I definitely recommend those who enjoy live music!

What kept this from being an outstanding experience was the table we were given. We had a business meal at 6:30 pm on a very quiet Monday. The initial table offered to us was a 2-top in between two 4-tops along a long banquette. We asked for a different spot because we were discussing some pretty confidential information. We were given a table at the end of the banquette which resulted in us sitting "kitty corner" to one another. Not exactly ideal.

While I understand that you need to save bigger tables for larger parties, this was a very quiet Monday night and it seemed silly to put us in that space. I would recommend this place to a friend if he or she was part of a larger party or on a date - but not if it was a 2-top for a business meal.

Excellent ambiance. Had the Tuna appetizer special as well as the Sirloin special. Both were fantastic. Service excels with Nick. His timing is always perfect. Always makes the dining experience memorable. Finally, the Yoko Miwa Trio adds so much to the restaurant. Love their music and the patrons seem to feel the same. Les Zygomates is very fortunate to have such a gifted jazz pianist , Yoko Miwa, perform there on a weekly basis. Bravo for your marketing decision.

Really nice spot for lunch near South Station. They have a great variety of salads for lunch as well as other healthy options. Nice wine list too.

The food is always superb. The ribeye special was the best I ever had. The service was impeccable. We were very well taken care of by Kenneth and another staff whose name escapes me at the moment and was so generous with the delicious butter with the bread. I love Les Zygomates!

Was excited to have a nice date night here to enjoy wine, dessert and live music. Even with a reservation we had to wait to be seated due to mass confusion with the hostess and not knowing how to seat the party in front of us. Once seated we informed our server that we would be drinking and having desert. He immediately sought out the manager to have us removed. The manager informed us we could not stay if we weren't eating dinner. I was shocked at how rude the management and staff were, considering the place was not crowded I would imagine you would want to keep your paying customers around. The live music was good, but I will never go back to this place due to poor management and wait staff.

My first time at Les Zygomates. We went on a Saturday evening with a 7:45 reservation. We were given a choice of tables and decided to sit close to the Jazz Band with out a wait. We had a light dinner, so I cannot comment extensively on the menu. Oysters, Tuna Carpaccio and Beet and Apple melange were all excellent. The Jazz trio was great and the volume just right. We could have a conversation despite being very close to the band. Bar staff is very good and knows how to make proper cocktails - Manhattan, Classic Martini etc. Drink prices are in-line with similar places. I would recommend this to friends. Good place for a date or small group.

Five gals were there to celebrate a birthday, and we had a lovely and fun night. Our waiter was very accommodating and did not rush us at all. The food was exceptional, and the jazz combo was top notch. The crowd was very friendly and joined in the birthday song. A first rate evening all around.

We went there to celebrate a family event. We wanted live music and therefore we choose the location. The music was very good (jazz), not too loud, just perfect for dinner. The band was on an elevated platform which was great as everybody could see them. The waiter was attentive and responsive. The selection on the menu was mouthwatering and our choices were all very good (smallish portions, but not too small, and acceptably priced). Presentation of food was very nice. Wine selection was quite extensive with a large choice of quite unusual not too pricey wines from around the world (there is also a special and expensive wine list that we did not consult). Overall, a good experience in terms of food, and the live music makes it a special venue.

My wife and I went here for NYE 1yr ago and loved it. I tried to make a reservation a week before V-Day. I was excited to see slots available but there was an technical error on completing it through OT. I called the restaurant immediately to assure I would get a table and make the reservation over the phone. The hostess tells me that only a manager can take the reservation and she will have the manager call me back to do so. I left my contact info and I never received a call back. I only remembered this due to a friend asking me 2 days before Valentine’s Day what me and my wife were doing. I went back to open table to see the preferred time was still available and completed the reservation with credit card info as requested. This was going to be the first night out with my wife as we are newly weds and new parents to a 4 week newborn. I put this information in the notes along with the request of starting with champagne and to sit closer to the entertainment. When we arrived the ambiance of the entertainment was as expected. The hostess takes us to the back of the restaurant to our table far from the entertainment. We could only hear the live music with no view of the entertainment. I asked the hostess before we sat if there was any other option and she said no. The place was busy as it should be for V-Day and we were flanked by couples. We noticed that there was no food on either table next to us for about 15 minutes. Food arrived at the neighboring tables staggered about 20 minutes of us being seated. They each were on first courses of the Prix Fixe menu we noticed. At this time 30 minutes of being seated and only water has been poured once at our table and my wife has finished her glass of water. We haven’t seen the waiter or have an idea of who the waiter could be. Almost 40 minutes of no one acknowledging we were there we left. Not even a manager available to mention this to was available. They didn’t accommodate or request. Nice place but not going back.

Very disappointed with the quality of service. Sat for 30 minutes before being greeted by the server, and two hours before getting our main course. The server never checked in with us, and we wanted to buy more drinks in addition to the wine pairing package but couldn’t get his attention. The food was fine, but not good enough to make up for the bad service, and definitely not worth spending $300 for two people. Unlikely to return.

Went for Valentine's Day and theyhad a Prix Fixe menu. Service was very poor considering the menu was set. Multiple other tables nearby had the same issue. Service was slow, they seemed to ignore our courses and had run out of an appetizer for other diners. They were inattentive and it took over 3 hours to eat a simple meal. I honestly would not go there again.

We loved the experience at the restaurant; it was fantastic in every way - 5 out of 5 in every category. It is definitely a bistro atmosphere, yet still intimate. Food was really terrific and they modified a dish for my preference. Great entertainment with Steve Heck, really enjoyed his singing and piano playing. I'm sure we'll be back, and anyone reading this review should definitely go! Not far from the theater district and South Station.

The food was dynamite. We both had steak. Vegetables and sides were great, too! We were both pleased with our choices. From what I could gather, the restaurant is split into two sides. I think we got the "B" team side. Service was extremely slow and the server was not attentive. There was no live music and the ambiance was meh. I think the live music might have been on the "A" team side of the restaurant. We had a corner table surrounded by two large parties that were loud...which is fine...it was their parties! It was just awkward for us being a party of two being surrounded by these groups.

My fiancé and I celebrated our anniversary and early Valentine’s Day here Saturday night. The food was incredible! French food and something for every taste. The wine was delicious, and we were able to listen to the phenomenal Yoko Miwa jazz trio who are there every Saturday night. We stayed hours later than we anticipated (and skipped seeing a movie as we'd planned!) bc they and the ambiance were so amazing. The vibe was perfectly romantic and fun! Exactly what we were hoping for, and we will definitely be back!

We came for the wine bar ambience but ended up thinking it was an above average restaurant. The food was presented beautifully but some dishes were less than ideal in preparation, notably the creme brulee, & the use of frozen broccoli. Wait staff was pleasant, music was nice & not too loud.
