Food is innovative and delicious! The trout is always at the top of my list, and the grilled octopus appetizer was the best I have ever tasted!

Handcrafted cocktail, local cheeses with house made mustard, Breads, and brittle. The flavor profiles of the main courses were perfect. Overall an amazing staff and food to rival any.

An absolute gem. The food and service was fantastic. The sommelier made a great recommendation on the wine that was a great pairing with our meal

We have eaten at LCDO multiple times and have always had excellent service, food and drinks. This time was just as good, if not better, than the previous visits. The chef does an excellent job preparing foods. The staff is knowledgable about wines and the bartender makes fantastic drinks. Dessert never disappoints so save a little room for it.

A great asset to Hot Springs that we've enjoyed. This time the limited menu felt really limited with some creative entries we preferred not to try. The salad had very little 'salad' and lots of meat. Still excellent quality.

We’ve enjoyed visiting several times The Homestead over the last 12 years, but have been underwhelmed by the on-site dinner options since Omni took over. While still a rather exclusive evening price wise, LCDO is a wonderfully refreshing alternative in that we genuinely felt the check was justified by the quality of the meal and service. The wine list was thoughtfully curated and the menu options reflect an appreciation for local ingredients without being pushy or pretentious. We’ll look forward to returning in the future.

This is one of our go-to spots when visiting the Homestead and doesn't disappoint. Great food, presentation and service; with a wine list created by a sommelier who is obviously very well trained.

Exceptional experience across the board. Our first visit but certainly not the last. Can’t say enough about it. Well crafted cocktails, compact well thought out wine list, attentive genuine service and of course outstanding food. We had the pancetta pork tenderloin and the duck which were top notch. The octopus starter was like none I had before with a delightful smoky finish to it. Finished with the cheese coarse and panacotta for dessert. Don’t miss this place.

Party of 6; we all had different entrees and 3 were excellent (duck, veal and trout), 1 was good (chicken) and 2 were just ok (cheeks and mussels). The cheeks and mussels were very salty, which overwhelmed the dishes. The pannacotta and chocolate ganache were excellent. Service was good.

This was our 3rd visit to Les Cochon d'Or over 3 years and everything was just as wonderful as the first time we tried it. The food is unique, wholesome and delicious. They have an outstanding wine selection to compliment your meal as well. The restaurant is perfect for an intimate dinner for a couple or a small group of people. Make sure to call ahead for a reservation. Highly recommend!

You won’t be disappointed. Tasty delicious fun French flair with a cozy ambience and kind staff. The sommelier helped us find a great Italian wine to go with both of our dishes and appetizer. The trout with puréed parsnips and cornbread topping was delicious. I lived the grated Umbrian black truffles to sprinkle on everything. Open table made booking the reservation so easy too. French food in the Virginia mountains at its best!

This was our second time dining at Les Cochon d’Or and was another wonderful experience from the moment we stepped inside. The food is as outstanding as it was three years ago. The service was on point too. Our four friends, who were there for the first time, were equally impressed. We would dine here more often if not for the five hour drive!

Called weeks in advance for reservations so that 6 of us could eat together, but couldn’t be accommodated, so we ate at the same time at three different tables. You need more space. We had to eat at a high top table which hurt my knee as I had just had knee replacement and my husband is scheduled for knee surgery, NOT COMFORTABLE for older patrons. Service was terribly slow, our waitress was also the bartender for the restaurant, not ideal situation. Food was yummy as usual, but otherwise we were disappointed.

Dear Guest, We appreciate your business. And we are very disappointed that your service was not up to our perfect dining experiences. We did take note that you had a reservation under your name for 2 guests with no additional notes about special needs or requests. We do try to accommodate every situation if we are notified in advance. Your reservation was made 6 days ago. Unfortunately, we like to keep our dining room small so that we can provide outstanding service. We do not wish to grow.

4.5 stars. We really enjoyed this boutique restaurant. We had the pancetta wrapped pork loin and the chicken breast dinner. For appetizers we had the heirloom tomatoes as well as the watermelon salad. All of the food was excellent as was the service. This is a must for couples or families looking for a higher end experience and higher quality of food.

Amazing dining experience. We were staying at the Homestead but had read good reviews of Les Cochons d’Or and made a reservation. I had the watermelon salad which was beautifully presented - yellow and red waternelon with great balance of goat cheese and dainty greens - trout sourced locally, perfect portion of crispy and succulent fish on bed of haricot verts cooked just right. My boyfriend had the French onion soup and the pork cheeks which he said was the best. Service excellent. Small restaurant owned and operated by husband wife team - chef and sommelier. Definitely worth a visit, go now before Michelin discovers the restaurant and it becomes difficult to get a table!

Amazing food and a very intimate dining venue. We were guest at the Homestead Resort but planned our trip around Les Cochon d’Or due to eating their another time while visiting the area. The service was great and very hospitable. The food here is worth traveling up the mountains to get to. Definitely will come back.

Acting on the recommendation of a friend, we dined at Les Cochon d'Or on July 30th. The delightful small restaurant is a five minute walk from the Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia. The small menu offers many enticing options. My husband and I independently selected the same salad, in-season heirloom tomatoes, and entre, local trout. The perfect presentation, mouth-watering aromas, and lingering wonderful flavors will be remembered for a long while. The owners and staff enjoyed sharing their story and mission for gourmet dining in this small community. We look forward to repeating the experience.
