Another spectacular meal curated by chef Andrew Addleman. My wife has significant dietary challenges that chef Andres attacks with skill and style to the delight of my wife. The "standard" menu is nothing to sneeze at. I had the yellowtail which was cooked to perfection with a beautiful crust and spicy salsa topping surrounded by a delectable variety of vegetables If you are in Coronado look into Leroy's for a dining experience beyond compare!!
Chef Andrew hit it out of the park! AGAIN!!! Scallops made in heaven specially prepared to meet my wife's dietary restrictions. INCREDIBLE!
Leroy's Kitchen & Lounge has a great happy hour, with some half-price appetizers and reduced price specialty cocktails and well drinks. Among the poke tacos were especially good, as were the deviled eggs. The Permanent Vacation cocktail turned out to be temporary: it was so good I had a second one. Entrees were not well-described on the menu but were well received.
Excellent service - such a great spot to chill, eat and enjoy w friends.
Wait staff was very friendly -
My wife had the pork which was really good- the waiter said the lobster risotto was also good but it was pretty watery and not a lot of flavor or lobster for that matter.
The ambiance was fine until the band started - then we could not hear each other talk
Excellent! Best restaurant on Coronado Island! Great warm pretzel, burger, chicken, ahi tacos!
Great food, great wait staff and ambiance. We relied 100% on the food recommendation of our server, Jim and were not disappointed. You must have the Brussel sprouts appetizer. Yum!
very poor service. had to ask for everything from drinks to the check. even had to ask for ketchup for fries. waiter never even checked on us the entire meal
Great range of dishes very well prepared. Unusual flavors that always seem to work well. They also always have an interesting range of beers.
The food and the service were very good. We did have an issue with one item of food, we sent it back, the manager came to discuss with us and correct the error. The manager went out of his way, during a very busy time, to come and make sure we were satisfied with everything, as well as apologized for the error.
I would recommend this establishment without hesitation. Well ran organization, with excellent food, drinks and service.
Really slow service. We sat down and waited for a waiter for 20 minutes. Then, once we finally ordered, it took another 15 mintures for the drinks to come out and another 45 for the food. Very disappointing.
We had a great 3 generation meal here the other day and everyone really enjoyed the experience. The eggs are amazing and I had the fried chicken special and yum!!! Seth, our waiter was truly awesome.
Always a pleasurable experience at Leroy’s!
The menu is limited. My food came out with cool broth. I asked them to give me a hot dish. It was heated up in the microwave making the chicken not edible. This was a $28-30 dish.
The menu was interesting. My hamburger was very good and I loved the truffle fries. We ordered the red sangria, which was more like a poor wine with one slice of fruit. The service was ok, but the noise was overwhelming.
Great burger! Excellent service from Jorge!
At first I was a little skeptical. But a Coronado junkie told me they go here every trip. Wasn’t sure quite what to order since the menu is more- I ran out of my aderal and need to finish this menu than not. We let john decide each course and he came through. Brussel sprouts than rival anything Jason becker wants to throw our way and better quail than beard award winner rancho pinot in phx. And we have quail everywhere or at least on every road. A hidden gem, laid back great staff, family friendly, ask for John-could be the best meal in Coronado.
Dined in and took good to go. Delicious all around. Great atmosphere for a weekend!
Don’t miss this place on Coronado island. I really do not believe you will be disappointed.
Great dinner with my husband for a date night. Deviled eggs are amazing! Husband had the lobster risotto and I had the Thai chicken and shrimp. Our waiter was outstanding, the ambiance was great and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back again!
Good service, good food, great beer selection. The vibe is totally cool. It was loud but we were there on live music night.
Had an excellent meal here for dinner. Brought friends visiting from NYC and they are foodies. They were impressed with the quality of the food. The salads were delicious, very fresh and unique. We loved the octopus appetizer. The Thai Braised Chicken and Shrimp was divine - the coconut broth was so flavorful, clear and light - not heavy - and the chicken was so tender. I will come back just for this dish! Also of note was the great Vegetable Stew. Our only complaint was the loud live music. We could not really have a good conversation. Just know that every Wednesday and Thursday night they now have live music, so don't come those nights if you need to discuss business, catch up with old friends, etc.
Second trip to Cornado and Leroy's was the one place we said "let's make sure we go back to" great food, great drinks and really friendly hardworking staff!!!!!
Would argue one of the top three burgers I've ever had. Great mimosa brunch option. Amazing beers on tap. Service was on point. Can't go wrong here.
We had an early (5:15) dinner reservation so the place was not yet packed. Even so, they initially seated us at crowded bar banquet. After some negotiating we were able to be re-seated in a little bit less crowded table.
Once that was done, we enjoyed a reasonable wine list, good selection of beers and friendly service. My friend had fries that he loved, and I really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts. He had a steak for dinner and I had a power salad that was excellent. The food gets 4 stars, the service -once we moved - was friendly and timely, and also gets 4 stars.
Enjoyed a Saturday morning brunch at the sidewalk tables. The monkey bread was delicious, as were the silky smooth deviled eggs. Nice, relaxed ambiance on a warm sunny day. Our waiter was helpful and pleasant, without hovering.
Great food and service. I have dined in the restaurant several times.
We came w a few friends for my boyfriends birthday. He was floored by how good the food was, & how nice the vibe is. Definitely recommend! Live Music every Wednesday and Thursday night, which was actually not bad.
we went here on a saturday evening (2/3) and john was our server. he was very attentive and would request him again.
he recommended the lamb and chickpea which i loved but wow it was heavy - i would like to have known that; i may have chose the duck. i'd like to go back and try to the burger but i'm from out of town.
the appetizers we had were terrific: deviled eggs, clams and truffle fries.
my wife commented early on about the noise level being good (low) - we could talk.
my friend wanted a rusty nail but not Drambuie (make it happen!) put the bartender personally came over and offered an alternative - a classy move.
Great service.... but the food, disappointing. Our $14 salad was like a $4 side salad. If I’m spending $14 on a salad it should be the size of a light meal. It was a beet salad with just about NO beets and just a few leaves of fancy greens. I like quality greens but there could’ve been a few more of them on the small plate. Our waiter was very nice, very helpful with drink orders, and even brought us more beets because he was also shocked at how the Beet salad had just about NO beets. We’re not tourists; my grandma lives in Coronado and I’m pretty sure we’ll never go back to Leroys after finally trying it for the first time.
This restaurant didn’t feel very welcoming compared to other restaurants in Coronado. We were a table of 2 and were seated between 2 large groups so it was difficult to carry on a conversation. It was 10 mins before our server arrived to take our order. The food was good but server never checked back with us and didn’t see him again until he brought the bill. We will select other restaurants before returning to Leroy’s.
The food is amazing. I like that they have seasonal food.
The service was ridiculously slow. We were seated about 6:40pm and got our entrees after 8pm.
Phil was a great waiter. Bartender was bad, returned my drink 2x and gave up. The chicken meal was horrible during restaurant week. Would not come back.
Overall a nice experience, but the pork tostada was too spicy for my friend (so be sure spicy is what you want before you order it), and the fries are, sadly, only tolerable. Burger was good but not great. The tomato bisque was superb as were the deviled eggs.
Outstanding food and service! Recommend to foodies.
Been here a couples times. Long time ago for brunch, but recently twice for dinner. I had the same meal both time. Beer bribed pork chop. The first time I had it it was outstanding, great flavor and cooked to a perfect medium well temp. Went back Saturday night and both my husband and I ordered it and it was dry and tough and completely over cooked, even though the server explicitly said are you ok with the chef reccomended temperature? You could tell by looking at it someone had pressed to try and speed up the cooking. Service was ok, server was friendly but other then taking our drink and food order and bringing us our check we didn’t see him. Never even asked us how our meals were. I can’t say I’ll never go back but probably won’t make a special trip to go there.
Outstanding! Live music on Wed and Thurs, menu fits your needs. Great location
A friend and I decided to do a bunch of their Bites (tapas) and cocktails before theater. We had a reservation and were seated straight away at a nice table. We ordered 3 starters and a cocktail each, but were unable to order any more than that as we were abandoned at some point by our server. I finally had to get up and go find the manager to get our check after having not seen a server in nearly 30 minutes. The food we did have was good and the red wine sangria was delicious, would have been nice to have more than one. The food was good enough to give this place another try. I am guessing the lack of service could be due to this horrible cold & flu season leaving them short staffed.
Too expensive. I’m
A local but it seemed like it was Geared towards tourist. The cheapest glass of wine was 1350 which I think is too much
great as always
