Leroy's Kitchen + Lounge
Still a solid choice when visiting the Island!
Leroys has been a favorite of ours for a few years and this day it did not disappoint. We didn’t realize that they were having Bluegrass Brunch so the live music was a welcome treat. Our server (can’t remember her name) was on point and made a great recommendation of the Pork Belly Hash. Great big tasty Yukon Gold fried potatoes covered in a Hollandaise under some thick cuts of perfectly cooked pork belly. Talk about a perfect breakfast. Top that off with one of the best Bloody Mary’s I’ve had in a long time.
Leroy’s was the perfect brunch destination.
The food was fabulous! I highly recommend the Poke Tacos. Eclectic farm-to-table menu items, craft beers & interesting cocktails. Our server, Henry, was attentive and recommended his favorite menu items. I will return the next time I visit Coronado Island.
I've heard such good things about this place, but it didn't live up to my expectations. The service was very slow and the drinks were watered down. The food was good, but not as good as I expected after what I'd been told.
Great service and great value. Very enjoyable evening.
Burgers were good but greasy. I had an awful blood orange martini. Couldn’t drink it. There was no blood orange juice in it. Paid 14$ for an awful drink. Leroy’s is hit or miss for us. This experience was a big miss.
I had a hard time narrowing down what to order and the wait person gave great suggestions. I had the chicken dish and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Both were tasty. There was music playing for the evening. The ambiance was great. We have been here a number of times and plan to return again in the future.
Had brunch with the special menu. Pork belly hash was great. Plow was playing to provide for a terrific Sunday afternoon experience.
George was our server and he was great! Very knowledgeable and had a great personality. The entire staff was really friendly and made our experience fun! The food was great, the atmosphere was fun, and overall we had a great time.
It's fine. Nice menu. Nothing overly special. Emphasis on food source. Beer selection is horrible! Not a bad date night or adult meal.
Sarah is an expert in her craft - recommendations from wine to craft beers to the menu were truly outstanding. This is a casual but highly refined gem on Coronado. Highest recommendation.
We love Leroy’s! It where everybody knows your name. Food is always consistently amazing. You won’t be disappointed.
Amazing food, great table service. Really wonderful experience all around.
Had the brussel sprouts, poki tacos, and the mussels as appetizers and split the pork shank dinner. All was amazing!!
Service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and genuinely happy. Food was good.
Probably a good place for meeting friends for drinks. . . not a comfortable place for dining where prices were high for average food and noise level was not conducive for conversation.
The manager was kind enough to acknowledge and apologize for the fact that we had a family with screaming children sitting next to us which made our experience less than favorable. We love kids and I am very patient but literally there was a kid screaming at the top of his lungs for 40 minutes straight and at one point his grandfather screamed back because there was nothing they could do to stop the kid. Omg just thinking about it I wonder why we didn’t ask to be moved outside. We were trying to be sympathetic because it would haven been so obvious but honestly ruined our lunch date. I can’t remember the food except that I left half of it because I couldn’t wait to leave, all I remember is the screaming. Would still return due to the manager apologizing.
Great food and friendly service. Has great vib and atmosphere.
We shared the cheese board and burger. While both were very good the price was a little ridiculous. I'd only order off the happy hour menu if you're on a budget.
We had a good meal but were disappointed with our server.
Burger didn't look too impressive but holy cow it was surprisingly DELICIOUS. Salad with Mary's chicken plus avocado was yummy too. Great looking menu, quality ingredients. And quality top notch service too - thanks to Phil!
Since opening, it was always busy whenever we drove by. Glad we finally got to try it on the last day of summer when the tourists left town. And I gotta tell ya...it was WELL worth the long wait.
Everything about LeRoy’s was amazing. From the outdoor table we requested, our waiter Phil, and the delicious and very fresh meal. It goes without saying the eggs were fantastic. Tuna tacos were perfect. Hubs had the sea bass and my son had the scallops which both agreed were excellent. We are in Coronado for another two weeks and I know we will be back!
The customer services and food were not acceptable. We sat for almost 30 minutes before a server came over. The food was cold and not tasty. I can understand why the place was not full on a Saturday night.
Please don't waste your time or money on Leroy's.
This was our 2nd time at Leroy's Kitchen and we went out of our way to stop by. Staff is great and so is the food.
The atmosphere wasn’t fir diners, it was for cocktailers to listen to music, it overpowered the dining experience. I ordered a kale salad, 3/4 of it was romaine. I would not come again.
we went for lunch on Wednesday, Sep 4. It was a hot day and the A/C in the restaurant was working hard to cool the place down. it did not succeed and the effort it was making was noisy and disturbing. won't return till it cools down in town
Excellent food and service on Coronado Island! Little details all made the difference
I had a lovely lunch - the grouper sandwich, chips and salad. The fish had a nice sear in it and the dressing was tasty. They waiter was friendly and attentive.
I would recommend Leroy’s due to the food being excellent; however the service was terrible! We waited so long for staff to come take our drink order that we were considering leaving. We had a reservation and it wasn’t too busy. Also we had patio seating but they serve from the sidewalk which was a little odd. For the price and ambiance, you would expect higher classed service.
The food at Leroy’s is quite good and we had no complaints on it at all. However, the host/greeter and kitchen manager/runner were very unwelcoming and spoiled our visit (this was the second time we ate at Leroy’s during our visit to Coronado). We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation. Six of the ten outdoor tables were empty and set up but the manager refused to let us enter and be seated, forcing us to stand on the crowded sidewalk until it was after 7:00 (our reservation was for outdoors at 7:00). She was snooty to everyone and it seemed very petty as it turned out that one of those empty tables was indeed ours. It could have been handled so much nicer. I’m afraid I can’t recommend Leroy’s.
Excellent food. Ambience somewhat wooden, but more fun outside or in the bar.
We had a great time at Leroy’s.
Limited menu. Ridiculous bar prices even for Coronado.
Had a lovely date night with my hubby. I didn’t much care for the entree I ordered, and they replaced it with another dish (which I enjoyed much more!). Great customer service! The drinks were delicious. We had an outdoor seat during sunset.
Leroy's is a great place if you are in Coronado and looking for some good food and better service. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Leroy's also has a great beer and wine menu with some interesting cocktails. A good night out for a couple, family or friends.
Good kitchen, nice wine list, and friendly service. Good value for your money. The only think that was not enjoyable, was the high volume of noise.
Always great. Interesting, well prepared entrees and fabulous craft cocktails. Good service too!
Leroy's food is absolutely delicious! We eat there almost every week and we have tried most of their menu items and they are all excellent. We have taken several of our friends from out of state as well as locals and they are agree that their recipes are the best for many of the dishes that they have tried. Some of our favorites include the brussel sprouts, the pretzel and the scallops and well as the Holy Cow burger and the truffle fries. Don't miss the coconut cream pie for desert!
The Heirloom Tomato entrée was outstanding! The ginger Pork chop was very good also. Nice and thick and lean.
Food was delicious and service was excellent, I would highly recommend!
Dining al fresco on a glorious nite with good friends & good food!
