Leonora offers an inviting dining experience inspired by the French Alps, Spanish Pyrenees, and our own Colorado Rockies. The menu is designed as a tapas experience, one where diners embark with shareable small plates, pintxos and cheese & charcuterie before progressing to larger plates which revere alpine flavors including Colorado lamb pops, local steaks and more. For a traditional dish with a Vail flair, try Chef Tyson's fried chicken with barrel-aged Fresno hot sauce. Flavorful dishes are simply prepared and thoughtfully paired with wines from around the world.

Waited thirty minutes for our table, then waited in our seats for a long time before getting food. They were good about accommodating my son’s allergy though.
Overly priced-very expensive-extremely tiny portions of food. Plating of my entree was wrong-they had the fish upside down which was barely warm & quite dry. About the size of a piece of sushi. Great service & ambiance but not worth it. Left starving after spending over $100 bucks.
We arrived for celebratory dinner and it felt like the staff thought we were not worth their time. Our tapas (all hot) arrived all at the same time instead of spread out so we could enjoy them one by one. We spent one hundred dollars and left after 45 minutes.

Fantastic dinner at Leonora. We booked outside originally but the weather was chilly so we stopped by the night before and were able to switch it to a slightly earlier time. The menu is great, and we enjoyed so many different tapas - some with meat, some vegetarian, some salads and dessert. Waiter was excellent and service was really good. Highly recommend and look forward to going back next time we are in Vail.
Dinner was much less than expected. The soup was delicious and the local artisan bread was above average. However, they were out of a menu item steak and replaced it with a Bison Ribeye. I am fairly sure that it was a buffalo killed by Wild Bill in the 1880's. It was as tough as anything I have attempted to eat in years. The taste was well below average. The menu does appear to have a lot of very chef centric offerings. But if you can't prepare a decent piece of meat for a meat lover, you may have a problem.
Service was great. Our octopus was extremely overcooked and it was very chewy as a result. Our biscuits were undercooked but still good. Soup and crab were great. The meatballs were OUTSTANDING. Great date night vibes. Would go back.
Disappointing birthday dinner.
We’ve had tapas all over the country (and overseas, including Spain), this ranked in the bottom 10% from a quality of food perspective. Also it may be COVID or the off season but the menu was cut down from what is posted on the website.
Bread (really nice bread and butter was good too)
Biscuits (way over cooked, almost inedible)
Lamb (tiny, overcooked and over-spiced)
Octopus (chewy but the flavor was decent)
Paella fried rice (making this fried rice seems like a cop out and ended up making it very dry)
Risotto (a passable dish if you can get past how green it looks)
Pork Belly (ok dish, small portion)
Brussel Sprouts (good dish)
Drinks were decent if a little over-priced
There were a number of issues from dry food, over salted or over-spiced food but if you look at our order (all placed at once) it’s obvious you should send the bread first. The bread came 10 mins after everything else. 4 dishes came within minutes which made us question how it was cooked, there was no steady flow, the first 6 dishes came really quickly and then a long gap to the bread.
We did order Churros for dessert.
They were passable and if we’d been walking around a pumpkin patch I think they would have fit right in, less so in this scenario.
$250+ for food and drink for 2, pretty disappointed.
We’re all for giving places some slack during COVID but this would be a lot more than ‘slack’
The service was good and redeemed things a little
We’d like to try them during the winter or summer seasons because the menu looks good and we really want to like this place.

We had a great dinner at Leonora. We were lucky enough to dine there Sunday evening, when they run a special for the fried chicken and poblano bacon biscuit. It was fantastically tasty (as well as one of the best values in Vail). The whole meal was great, and the service and ambiance on the patio was good. We'll be back for sure.

Great food and atmosphere, we will definitely be back. Everything we ordered was amazing. Our favorites were the Chili Crab Toast, and the bread pudding and chocolate cake for dessert. I had the PIÑA DE CAÑA cocktail, very yummy.
Fantastic tapas/small plates that are full of flavor and very inventive. The chef is Filipino and he adds a nice twist to many menu items. Get the Halo Halo (means mix-mix) for desert.
We came to celebrate our anniversary. We had reservations on the patio but sat inside as it was raining. We felt very comfortable with tables spaced apart and staff wearing masks. The food was fantastic, especially the lobster skewers and quacapoke. Great bartender, too!
Loved this place - as a couple our favorite thing to do is try out high class places to eat while traveling - this is a must eat place if you are in vail - we did not hold back in ordering a variety of different tapas dishes - the elk dish was one of the best plates of food I have ever eaten - Brussels sprouts - the trout - the skewered crab and lobster were all out of this world - I love octopus and the meat you are served was a nice hushed tentacle - I just didn’t love the way ours were cooked it seemed way to chewy and difficult to cut other than that - it was a memorable meal and cheers to our waiter for some great memories
We made a patio reservation on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. Very good experience. Service was friendly, but understaffed. The food is creative and nuanced with fun presentation. We enjoyed the watermelon tomato salad, kale caesar, mushroom bolognese, fried chicken (so good), octopus, NY strip, crab toast, paella (meh) and corn chowder (crowd fave). Finished with chocolate layered cake and the banana trifle was excellent with perfect cappuccinos. It was a feast! Will definitely visit next time in Vail.

Horrible food. Clearly a lot of out of the box/ bag or frozen items. Service was great. Wine list is great. But sadly went and got takeaway elsewhere to complete our meal.
We enjoyed a lovely evening tonight at Leonora. Our server, Geoff was the best we have had recently in all of Vail! We would highly recommend the Octopus, guava-poke, and the cheese and charcuterie board!
The Leo Gin and Tonic is easily one of the best drinks I have had.
We had excellent service (despite what some reviewer said) and all of our dishes were amazing, Especially the tuna. The $9 Sunday fried boneless chicken was pretty hard to pass up!
A DO NOT MISS in Vail!!! Ahi tuna, octopus, fried chicken, all was amazing! The Sebastian Spritzer was delicious.
I cant recommend Leonora highly enough. Our experience this past Saturday was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Our waiter was knowledgeable, timely and provided just the right amount of attention. I would happily order everything we had on our next visit. Special mention is in order for the Garlic King Crab, Peach & Greens, Paneer Samosa, and the superb Chef Tyson's Fried Chicken.
