The views are worth the trip, and the food was good, too. They did overcook the asparagus, though, and the lamb was tasty even with a bit of a heavy gravy on it (who needs gravy on lamb?). Tom was a great waiter, and we thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
We enjoyed our time and experience at the LeMont. Great atmosphere and there was even a live band performing in the main dining room. Great views of the city, couldn’t have been better!
Once again a lovely dining experience with family over mothers day weekend. Great views of the city combined with an elegant dining experience made it a special evening. Service as usual was above and beyond.
Exceptional jazz duo topped off the night with light music and dancing.
Restaurant was highly recommended by locals and it did not disappoint. Even being very busy with high school prom, service was great.
The over all experience was amazing me and my girlfriend loved the food, the view was absolutely amazing.
Tom, our waiter, is always the ultimate professional. Three of us enjoyed the “can’t beat the price” prix fixe seasonal menu. Veal was excellent. Pesto Trout was a treat. My scallops, smothered with a heavy coconut sauce and the side of coconut milk risotto - way too sweet for a dinner so I was disappointed. It was like eating candy. Usually have great food at LeMont and we go several times a year. It was my friend’s birthday so the evening was more about the ambiance and being together while looking at our beautiful city.
My friend was given a free piece of bday cake and the night was fine. Next time I’ll avoid the scallops.
Our reservations were for 730pm. We got there at 20 after 7. We did not get seated until after 8! We were told to go to the bar and wait. What’s the point of making reservations? Our waiter was a 10 out of 10. Very professional and friendly! Overall I’d give them a 7/10
This was our first time back at the LeMont in over 30 years. I had read some bad reviews and had shied away. Our experience was outstanding this time. The bar area is beautiful and bartenders are friendly. We were seated at a window, but really, all seats have a great view, so being able to touch a window isn’t necessary. I ordered the stuffed sea bass and it was a real treat. My wife had the veal scallopini with chanterelle mushrooms and it was amazing. The veal was fork tender and the sauce was rich and flavorful. We’ll definitely put the LeMont back in our mix of restaurants.
Service was scripted. Wine steward was not in a good mood. It seemed they were complaining about one thing or another.
We were celebrating our 35th anniversary. I was hoping to be seated in the main dining room
Food was not good. Much better places near by. The view was amazing, but wasn’t enough to make up for the food experience. To bad, we were there for a special occasion and was looking forward to an amazing meal.
Outside of the Beautiful view, and our waitress being pretty good, we would not recommend this restaurant. It's as if they are trying" to be an upscale restaurant, yet lacking professionalism and good food.
It was a childhood dream fulfilled. I loved the ambiance and the food tasted superb. I do recommend eating at this lovely elegant restaurant.
The LeMont was the perfect location for my sister and brother in law to celebrate their 23rd wedding anniversary. The ambiance was perfect and the dinner couldn’t have been better.
As always the service was outstanding. We had friends in from Boston and we wanted to showcase the City of Pittsburgh from a different perspective than they had seen. The Lemont is always a solid and consistent place to dine, while accomplishing that objective. And it was a picture perfect evening.
The view was spectacular. Both the food and the service were mediocre. The cranberry salad served with the winter menu was inedible by all three of us at the table. The main courses were ok. The menu is so uninspired and demands either a new chef or a complete overhaul. I think both is Lemont wants to keep its doors opens. There were many open seats on a beautiful Friday evening and I can see why. None of us would go back as there are way too many excellent restaurants in the Pittsburgh dining scene.
My wife and I celebrated are 25th anniversary at Lemont. Everything was just right.
As usual we had great service and great food. Always enjoy going here.
We ordered from the “Taste 30” menu. The promotional all-inclusive selections were great quality and were not inferior to the regular menu. Scallops were fresh and properly sautéed. Veal was average, but the fresh salad and complete deserts were exceptional. As we have found in past visits, the service was exceptional. The beautiful view and traditional elegant style of the dining room make a relaxing and pleasant dining experience.
Best view of the Ohio River, and downtown Pittsburgh. We all got the Prix and it was a wonderful 3 course meal for $35. The restaurant has lots of chandeliers. It’s beautiful. Great service. Very fancy.
This restaurant is lovely and elegant. The food, service and views are unrivaled. Be sure to leave room for dessert! Watching the sun set over the city adds to the ambiance
Out of town and Hubby planned a date night at The LeMont. It was outstanding!
LeMont is one of those places you don't visit very often, but it is always a pleasant treat when you do. It is expensive, but not extremely so compared to a lot of other steak houses and premium restaurants. It is quite traditional in its menu offerings and formal service, but I like that.
Here is where they prepare Caesar salad tableside, and it is wonderful. Steaks and veal dominate the menu, but I had the wonderful jumbo lump crabcakes. The dessert cart of huge decadent cakes is a sight to behold, and the view of Pittsburgh is just a bonus! Drop in if it has been a while or be sure to make a first visit.
Went to the LeMont and was treated like they didnt want me in there. First time there and will definitely not be back.
Service by Tom was outstanding He was attentive and knowledgeable. We went by his recommendations and were not disappointed
The food was excellent. It was restaurant week and they had a separate menu if desired. The choices were above and beyond. You can’t beat the ambience.
We enjoying going there anytime.
Tony was able to arrange a table near the window. We had our teen age grandchildren with us and they enjoyed it. We felt that was an accomplishment being with teens
The view is the ONLY reason to go to this OVER-RATED restaurant! The food was only ok, and the service was horrible! It was our 30th wedding anniversary, and they ruined it! We were asked to leave our table before we were done saying they, “had another guest waiting on the table”, we had only been there 1.5 hours! Additionally there were empty tables available! Ridiculous!!!!!!!!
Horrible place with horrible service and they DO NOT CARE about the customers! I will NEVER give this restaurant another dollar of my hard earned money.
PICK ANOTHER RESTAURANT IN PITTSBURGH, there are many!
Very happy with dining experience. Have dined there many times never a disappointment. My only regret is that people do not care enough to dress for dinner. Not a fault of the restaurant by a sad commentary of people in general.
View, food, service, and atmosphere was fantastic.
I wanted to make my husbands birthday extra special. The staff wished him happy birthday when we arrived and sat us promptky. The view of the point was incredible. My husband loved the view and his dinner. The staff were all polite, friendly, and professional and we will definitely return.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent view. The staff was especially attentive and timely with everything. Highly recommend it.
Everything was good the music was good atmosphere was good and the prices are good and I would definitely invite family and friends plus I will go back for a second or third or fourth time excellent.
Very delicious food and the service was impeccable
Of course a beautiful Pittsburgh view and elegant restaurant. Just wish it was not so expensive
Awesome view of Pittsburgh, food was great. Service was very friendly.
Excellent service from start to finish. The waitress was on point with the specials and we were the first customers of the evening. The food was exquisite. Served at the perfect temperature. The only complaint was the Lobster Bisque had no trace of lobster it was all broth. We both got bisque and it was the same for both of us. However the rest of the food was 2nd to none. The desert was perfect. Overall experience was tremendous.
It is a wonderful venue to make memories! We always enjoy when good food is accoupanied with good service and company!
loved this place! view was outstanding regardless it was a foggy and rainy night. servers were very nice and showed hospitality, very fancy and nice place to go for special occasions. Had the best dinner for the price, was very full after the 3 course entree. Will come again! loved it
Food was good, not over the top. Ambiance was amazing! The views, especially the one we had next to the windows overlooking the point and downtown Pittsburgh, are amazing. Our waitress was attentive, but not overbearing. Would recommend for special occasions.
Wonderful...we had their Winter Special. The food was excellent. And the desert was huge. Would definitely recommend!!!
Pleasantly surprised at food quality - greatly improved over last visit quite a while ago. Glad we came back. We had a table by the window- a win for us. Good service. Arrived early - 45 minutes before reservation and was accommodated and still with a window seat. Earned points for good customer service. We will be back.
