I had the most fun there, was a live band and other guest while we respected to the covid rules I had alot of fun and great entertainment. would deff go again
It was great did feel a little rushed though.
Everything was fantastic aside from the table next to us dressed in street clothes, cussing and belching. But, that was out of my or the restaurants control.
Excellent service and food.
I have had take out before , but the experience of inside dinning was fantastic
The soup was rich and tasty though rather filling. The lamb shanks were excellent but I've never had them with risotto before - and the risotto was stodgy and tasteless, a mistake instead of the more usual mash. Apparently the veal was "pretty good".
The red velvet cake was what you expect, the Spumoni ice cream rolled with pecans was delicious but twice as much as you want after such a hearty meal. I wish American restaurants would follow the European tradition of offering one light dessert such as a sorbet.
Excellent food, good service, beautiful view. Everything was great. The style is a little 1970s, but everything is beautiful and vibrant.
Our waiter, Tom was great, the food was excellent, and the desert was delicious. Ambiance of Le Mont sets the bar high for upper scale dining. My only complaint is that the tables were certainly not 6 feet apart, perhaps barely 3. Every time a person from the table next to us got up, it felt like they were standing right over us. Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend dining here.
Great Service by Brian and Raymond. They both made our dinner a first class experience.
LeMont always lives up to its fabulous reputation. If you are looking for a special occasion or even just a date night adventure, give LeMont a chance to make it a wonderful evening! They have a wide variety of menu choices and will happily accommodate vegan with their vegetarian options.
The start was good. Sat at the bar enjoyed a drink, looked at the view, listened to the live music. Then we were seated. Right when we sat down the butter guy came over and tossed the butter pretty much all over the place. Our waiter came over and told us that they were out of some staples and left. We ordered the other 2 steaks and salads and a coke. 30 minutes later the coke and salads. We then had our meals and an empty coke glass. The food was the definition of “paying for the view.” Microwaved steamed vegetables and unsalted steak. All the while we were not once asked about our meals OR received a refill on coke. We then asked for the check and waited another 15 minutes for the waiter to get the check and another to take the check. If my date wasn’t so fun it would have been a major bummer. To top the night off as we were waiting to get our check back the water guy refilled my water in my coke glass.
This is the second time I dined at lemont and given the pandemic I believe my fiance and myself were one of 3 total tables on a Sunday night but it was nice to have a more quite intimate meal. The strip steak and shrimp scrampi were wonderful and service from Tom was beyond exceptional. I love the lemont and will certainly return soon.
We went for a birthday dinner. Great table. amazing view. Tommy was our server-over 30 years experience there. very attentive. caesar salad prepared table side! i had a veal tenderloin. it was well-prepared, i just didn't care for the "sweet and sour"taste. everything else was top-notch.
Always good a good experience
Service staff is excellent
An enjoyable evening with fine food and a wonderful ambience.
Our dinner celebrating my wife’s 70th birthday was outstanding. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The food and service were excellent from my wife’s Prime Rib to my Tuscan crab and Lobster Cakes with a delicious serving of cheesecake for dessert. The restaurant practices social distancing and takes all necessary steps in dealing with COVID. The views, of course, are phenomenal!
First time going to LeMont can honestly say I was blown away! Excellent service, amazing food the Staff was outstanding as well. Definitely recommend them for all future bookings for any type of event you won’t regret and they will take good care of you!
Had a great birthday dinner! Absolutely delicious food - we had salads, steak, and the chocolate cake!! Excellent service and there was live music at the time we were there that was beautiful and really helped set the tone of the meal!
Not worth the price!!!! As a Certified Sous Chef and a Culinary school graduate I had so many issues I don't know where to start. From the mediocre food to the soaking wet white wine glass that doesn't make any sense to nasty sauce accompaniments. Bernaise sauce is a derivative of hollandaise, and it should be held warm for dinner service and thrown out at the end, not served cold. The reason I say something about the Bernaise is because I was told by the server that I didn’t know what I was talking about when I stated that the sauce shouldn’t be cold. And the Chimichurri sauce was way too acidic to be eaten. The sauce should accompany the steak, not make the customer pucker! To finish off the review, I was blown away that our plates were being cleared before one of our friends hadn’t even finished off the appetizer. The fact she had to say she was done eating because the entree was already being set down at the table was mind-blowing! For a restaurant that had such a good reputation, I expected better.
I have dinned here on a few occasions and the quality of the food and service has dropped with each visit. The view is always the same; (great). Everything else was disappointing and certainly not worth the money. I have had far better meals at a fraction of the price.
Our first time to LeMont. Excellent overall and will not hesitate to go again.
Views and service were top notch...and comprehensive menu even during covid restrictions. Great wine selection...delicious Makers Mark Manhattan!
Value is tough to rate because one does not go to a restaurant like this if money is a big concern. Only suggestion: soups could’ve been hotter. Steaks were delicious and perfectly prepared.
Thank you, LeMont staff!
The view was amazing! My
date is vegan and his choices were very limited and bland. People are making healthier choices these days and this food can be tasty & flavorful too. His soup was lukewarm too. I ordered the sea bass which was a very good fish but with the sides was overall quite bland. I did very much enjoy my pineapple margarita. For the caliber they claim the service was okay. You are paying for the view!
Great experience! It was a dinner for a friends birthday. Service was amazing, food was delicious, and great view.
My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal with an excellent server. The only thing that I was somewhat bothered by was our seating. We made reservations quite a while ago and were put in this little table at the end of the window frame. View was ok. I had specifically asked for a window table as it was our anniversary. Please do better next time when a specific request is made.
We had four people for dinner on Saturday. Three of us selected from the 60th anniversary menu. The selections were wonderful, portions ample and a good value as well.
Celebrated a birthday and had extraordinary service. The raspberry roast duck was scrumptious. The service and attention to detail was top notch. I will happily go again and again.
For us, the LeMont is the epitome of the finest dining in Pittsburgh. Our steaks were aged perfectly at the requested temperature. What even made this more special was the service offered by Thomas Z.... A true gentleman always there when you need him.... We were not rushed and we seemed as comfortable as we could be. It was my wife’s birthday and Tommy went out of his way to make her feel special...We can’t say enough good things about the LeMont... Did I mention we will be back...
Tacky decor. Bland food.
Great restaurant! Great atmosphere, outstanding service, and excellent food.
I don’t believe it is an excellent restaurant. We waited for 20 minutes after our reservation time. Entries were served soon after inter mezzo sorbet. They knew but no anniversary comment. Noisy ambience. Only nice view.
Great food and atmosphere. Table was ready and we arrived 30 min early. We were seated immediately. Excellent view of the city.
Amazing food and the 60th anniversary menu was perfect!
Had the chilean sea bass and was disappointed, had a fishy taste, wife had the crab cakes and said they were okay. Had the pecan ball for desert and it was frozen solid, had to ask for a knife to cut it.
Excellent food and service. Wait staff was friendly and attentive
Beautiful restaurant, great views, attentive service and good food.
Not the old LeMont....overall a nice night out...Thanks to COVID - we had a window table with a great view on a Friday night.
Service was good...but the meal seemed pre-prepared. Appetizers were great. Coquille Lemont. Salads were salads...nothing notable. Frozen sorbet served prior to entree was weird...rock hard served in a dirty lemon rind. (attempt at fancy - use a small cup instead). The Chicken Christina was served with sauce on the side - dry piece of chicken - stuffed with "something". Sauce was on side since it was sugar-sweet, as I was warned by my server. Spouse had beef wellington - that was average.
We both were convinced that the mashed potatoes were instant (Hungry Jack?) and not actual potatoes. The other veggies were good.
We selected to choose from the 60th anniversary menu. We weren't displeased...as it was nice to get out. Was it the quality of meal that the LeMont was once known for? No.
The food was tremendous, as was the service and ambience. Despite the pandemic, workers were very attentive while still following protocol. You can't beat the view. We went for our anniversary and will be going back.
Food was good but not amazing. Very nice staff. Awesome view. We went on a Sunday evening and it was nice and quiet.
