This restaurant is outstanding. It really takes me back to dining out in its hay day- it was elegant and red carpet treatment. The pianist was lovely and the food and champagne never stopped flowing.
We celebrate our 40 year anniversary at the lemont it was excellent. It the most elegant restaurant. View was spectacular. Food delicious everyone kind attentive. High recommend. Thanks for a memorable eveving.
Great food and service. Could use a little decor update but still very classy. Absolutely the best view of any restaurant I’ve ever dined at hands down. Worth a good night out. Bring ur piggy bank.
Birthday dinner. Everything was amazing. We had a beautiful view of the city, the service was on point and the food was delicious.
Outstanding service, excellent food. View is fantastic.
The staff that waited on us were not very adept at following the rules regarding Covid their masks were below their nose or below their chin… Made us very uncomfortable.
The food was just average, Nothing exceptional
Everything was excellent from service to the food
I made a reservation at 6:30 pm and we didn’t get seated till 7:30 and I requested a bottle and table by the window to be ready and they noted it but they didn’t have anything ready till 7:30 but at the end of the day it was a beautiful date night and food was very good
Thank you for everything, the food was great, and it was a very nice restaurant for my daughters graduation dinner,
we will be back at Christmas time when the decorations are there,
our server and service was excellent
Very calm place to eat. Amazing view of the city. Food portions are a good size. Wasn’t very busy from what we could see due to covid restrictions I’m sure and people still not going out to eat—with that being said, our server should have been on top of things and unfortunately he wasn’t. Regardless, it was a nice double date with friends
LeMont is fabulous. The team treats you like a best friend coming to visit. As a healthy vegan I appreciate choices that were prepared with me in mind versus having to cobble together a meal from sides. Always a treat but lately, its been a monthly visit! :)
It has been quite a few years since I had been there and excited to return. The service was decent, staff was pleasant. We ordered from the Anniversary pre-fixe menu which was reasonably priced. The food was average at best and I’m not sure if this was based on this menu or the regular menu as well. Need less to say, we were disappointed as it certainly was not the experience I remembered from years ago.
Always good experience at LeMont. Food was great
The view was amazing. The anniversary menu was such a great value. I recommend giving it a try!
TL;DR: Worth the price of admission, just understand what you are paying for. Spoiler; it's not the food.
Pros: The view, old school service style, Braised veal short rib app, steak Diane (made tableside), the seriously dated (80s) style of the room that is almost retro.
Meh: The cocktails, the lack of a waiting area if your table isn't ready, and the desserts.
Cons: Cold, crusty whipped potatoes and veg that come with EVERYTHING. The abysmal and overpriced wine list (stick to cocktails), Ceasers salad that is obviously from a bag, midlevel (if that) quality of meat, my filet was OK yet in no way worth $54. The heartstopping bill at the end.
Overall this is a view, with a show and dinner happens to be served. The view is truly spectacular and the show is the wait staff, dressed in tuxes, using Oldschool note pads to write everything down and literally running between tables and the kitchen. Overall the service is well polished and very enjoyable. They obviously know their role, pretty much everyone asked us what our occasion was. I can imagine this place packed during Highschool prom season with teens awkwardly trying to be fancy.
As an out of towner with a locally based girlfriend it was nice to experience something and different and staunchly set in the past. It's worth a visit, just know what you're getting into and set expectations accordingly.
Service and the food were excellent. A little noisy but certainly not out of the ordinary for a busy Friday night and not too loud to talk to each other in a normal voice at the table. The special menu - including a glass of wine and desert- was a good value.
View is spectacular with excellent food. The service staff including the waiter were superb and create a wonderful dining experience.
The food was very average. Service was excellent. We were celebrating a milestone anniversary and there was no recognition whatsoever even though they knew about it.
great time enjoyable date
Always enjoy the evenings here! Ambience and food are great! Staff is excellent!
Horrible time. Outdated scene with music that doesn’t fit the older style that they go for. The cocktails were watered down and extremely small. We left after we received an appetizer of fried mushrooms that were so undercooked we couldn’t finish. Waiter was also unpleasant. When we ordered short rib appetizer, the waiter snapped and made it clear there would be no way we could get the short ribs. As if it was insane that we would even think we could get the short ribs... he made it clear that of course they were out of the short ribs!
Never ever going back.
We had a great experience at Le Mont Restaurant, the waitress and the staff were very attentive and professional, service was fast and efficient. The decoration is stunning, the view of downtown Pittsburgh is spectacular, the food was good.
Was a beautiful view the cocktails were good food was delicious
Our 39th anniversary was wonderful from beginning to end
Excellent food and service! Can't wait to go back again!
We had a nice Birthday celebration at LeMont Restaurant! Our window table was perfect with the view of Pittsburgh on a beautiful night! My choice of the beef wellington was very good and my husband's meal, stuffed veal, was good but he was a little disappointed the veal wasn't more tender. We were there on restaurant week so we were able to choose meals from a special menu with a special price. Our drinks, a martini and the strawberry basil cocktail were excellent! We also were given a piece of cake as a birthday treat! All in all, it was a great celebration at LeMont and would like to make it a tradition each year! Our server, Bryan, was very attentive and efficient. Thank you!
We had an incredible experience at LeMont celebrating my daughter’s birthday. It was our first time back after having our wedding reception there in 1998 so we were really looking forward to it and it was a very special evening! The food was delicious and the service was more than outstanding! Oh.. and that view! There’s no place like LeMont!
It was nice. The view was amazing, the service was top notch!
Went to LeMont for my birthday dinner. I wanted a dinner spot with a great view...and this one scored high marks. Unfortunately, that all there is to offer. The food was average... I would liken it to hotel banquet-style food. I expected so much more bc of the prices.
A great evening!! The service was impeccable! The food was plenty and the view outstanding! It was so fun to get dressed up and enjoy and evening at such a special place! I would highly recommend!!
Always our go-to when visiting family in the Burgh. Over more than 25 years it has never disappointed. They have not stopped trying to exceed your expectations. If the view wasn't there it would not matter, still one of the top restaurants in Pittsburgh and a must for any visitor.
Marco was exceptional in his service and made us feel really welcome. I will go back there just so that I can get the same service and tip better. We didn't get the table with a view but the service made up for it. Worth the trip. I would recommend it 👌 .
It’s was overall amazing food was delicious I’ll recommend this wonderful restaurant to everyone
I have been here many times and have always enjoyed the food and the view. Great for special occasions.
Had a wonderful 3 course dinner by participating in restaurant week. Normally items are ala carte but got more bang for my buck by choosing off this menu. They gave a good variety of entrees to choose from. Had their salad, flounder with crabmeat, shallots, whipped potatoes, green beans and carrots for my main and zuppe inglese for dessert.
Also had choice of various breads. Everything prepared fresh and spot on good. Elegant dining and they also host special events such as wedding receptions.
A Pittsburgh classic with sweeping views of the Golden Triangle.
Amazing all around experience. Definitely recommend for anyone whether you are from Pittsburgh or out of town!
We had a lovely meal for my birthday. Food, service, ambiance were all excellent. We wanted to leave a higher tip(30%) based on our experience, and in recognition of the risk taken during these pandemic times, but we were confused when the bill included a line for the maitre d. We ended up splitting the tip with a bit more for the waiter. It was confusing and I’m sorry if We did not tip our excellent waiter appropriately. I don’t think I saw or noticed the maitre d.
Great american classic food, even better ambiance.
Le Mont is an old school restaurant. The food is high quality and good but not amazing. The night we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary the restaurant was surprisingly busy considering the COVID restrictions but we had a lovely table by the windows and enjoyed a spectacular sunset. Truly the views are the star of the show. Waiters were masked consistently and service was punctual. The maitre de often took her mask off to chat with one large family group seated near us.
Overall our dinners were excellent. One guest was not happy with his meal.
