LeMont Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I brought my partner there for our Valentine's Day and 11 month relationship celebration, the first time for both of us at this venue. Expectations were high, understandably, and we were not disappointed with the cuisine nor with the spectacular view! However, the service was uneven, mediocre at times, serviceable at others, less than satisfactory at others. This should not be the case for a restaurant of this caliber, and it, unfortunately, did mar our experience enough that we will probably choose not to return.
Food was decent, but had better for the $200 bill for two.
Wish the server would have told me the chefs special was for two people; paid $75 for lobster that was not on the menu. The view was decent not as nice due to the rain and fog. My wife enjoyed her red snapper. 3 stars.
Very disappointing... Perhaps Lemont was a must-go place a decade ago in Pittsburgh, it did not live up to expectations. Compared to newer restaurants, the quality of food was mediocre at best. Even the bread was bland. We had fillet mignon and duck, which were okay but definitely not worth the price.
The food was phenomenal. It was both, me and my boyfriend’s first time here and it was out of this world. The experience was an overall pleasurable one. We did the Valentine’s special for $38. It was a lot of food but a really really good deal. The service was excellent. It was also my first time trying seafood which i thought was amazing. I will definitely be back for dinner sometime!
Beautiful restaurant. Came here for restaurant week. While the views of the city were beautiful, the food was only average and not well seasoned. It was too expensive for the quality of food. Service was pretty good. The restaurant was quiet so it was nice for conversation. Don’t think I would ever go back.
Always spectacular. Food is creative. We went for restaurant week and had the cappuccino rub fillets with the mocha demi glace. So wonderful. The server Mark goes above and beyond to make the experience memorable. Thank you Lemont for always being consistent
Our waiter, Tom, was outstanding. The service was exceptional. We went for the Restaurant Week menu. The filet was delicious , the salmon was uneventful to say the least. The mushroom bisque was very nicely done. The desserts were not great but just ok...the cream brûlée was sad...really...it could even make a Frenchman cry. But the Service was outstanding. Thank you Tom.
We went to LaMont during Pittsburgh Restaurant Week for our first visit. We were seated next to the window overlooking beautiful downtown. Our view was a bit impacted by the snow but it was still wonderful to gaze out the window during dinner. Everyone was friendly and prompt and the food was delicious. We will definitely visit again for a special occasion.
Faux classy dining. The view from Mt Washington is incredible; the servers were prompt and friendly, but the outdated decor, ill fitting tuxedos, and general strangeness of the place were distracting. Also, there was nothing special about the food. It was fine, but not worth the price by any stretch.
Beautiful room and incredible panoramic view of Pittsburgh on a clear night. But this wonderful experience was overwhelmed by really lousy food. Prices are typical for high end restaurants in Pittsburgh but FOOD value for the buck is low end at the LeMont. Too many good restaurants in Pittsburgh now to even consider the LeMont in future plans. Best they get their act together.
On arrival we were seated quickly, and waited on promptly. The service was outstanding, and the recommendations were all they were made out to be. When the food came, the presentation was immaculate and tasted amazing-Commendations to the chef! The portions of the food were also quite large so it felt good value for money. However in addition to all of this, the overwhelming highlight of the evening was the view, I could not recommend this restaurant enough for the beautiful view alone. If you're looking for a good place for an anniversary, date or even everyday dining I would recommend LeMont.
Fabulous (center off the walkway, you will understand easily when you are here that this is the best table) table for 2 against the window which enabled magnificent view of the city. And it seems that Pittsburgh loves Its Steelers (every sidewalk had vendors selling all things Steeler) Heinz Field on the night before the now infamous Dec 2017 Pats game which lived up to its hype. And so did LeMont. We were first time out of town guests and not at all diehard Steeeler fans, (although once there it is hard not tone one!). LeMont is a classic, old world, one of a kind dining experience—chandeliers, drapes, high ceilings, beautifully appointed bar,Etc) 3-piece Sinatra (more Dean Martin) band playing plenty of contemporary classics too. Duck and chicken entrees tasted even better than the gorgeous and artfully culinary presentation of each entree. Anniversary cake with a candle helped take a perfect starlit night to another galaxy. Superb service. Excellent food. Several large parties nearby but the acoustical design (drapes, layout, etc) stifled any possible noise so that we could easily converse and hear the band. Would go there again and again and strongly encourage readers to do so also.
