Within 10 minutes of dining here my credit card was compromised. It was the only time my card was out of my sight in the previous 10 days.
Great lunch service, tea and ambiance, but I thought the food (lemongrass soup and orange chicken) were over stylized. Orange chicken was coated puffballs of ground chicken?, not, that I could determine, whole prices of chicken, which presented an unsatisfying texture. The soup had zucchini in it and lots of it, and was light on the lemongrass. But overall I would be happy to go there again and try different selections.
Great service, good food and personal attention. Always an enjoyable experience.
One of our favorites when we visit Columbus! The menu has great variety — from gluten free, to vegan, with wonderful sushi. They have a very nice wine list, as well and make creative and delicious cocktails.
Overall, we had a good experience and will be happy to return for another meal. We were sat right away and our server was attentive. However, as we all (4 people) decided to share appetizers, a bottle of champagne, and each ordered an entree, the table itself was entirely too small for everything to fit; making all of us feel cramped and uncomfortable. Also, maybe our server was new, but she was unable to open the bottle of champagne and asked one of us to open it for her.
Too noisy to hear, but food good
The server was friendly but had a difficult time dropping a bottle of beer and then a glass of water. Service and food was slow. Overall quality of food was ok. Probably wouldn't go back based on this experience.
This place has a fantastic menu full of options. The flavor is on point. The cocktails deliver.
We had a wonderful dinner at Lemongrass! Would definitely go again!
I go to Lemon Grass all the time. This evening the wait for drinks and food was abnormally long. Still awesome food and I will be back but they may want to check what was off that evening. Thanks!
Food looked great but the chicken was dry and the shrimp was cold. Overall ok but not a new favorite.
Lots of good options but I choose the shrimp, scallop and crab cakes. Sauce was coconut oil based, creamy and really good. Scallops were good, not great and crab cakes should be named salmon cakes (not all that good). But overall a really nice place. We were just passing through and they were accommodating to mom who has some diet restrictions. I’m from New England and love seafood so probably a bit snobbish when it comes to seafood, so if u are local I am sure you’ll love it if u live near the ocean, maybe it will be just OK food wise, but everything else was good.
Arrived at 2:45 (reservation at 3:00) were given the lunch menu. When just about to order at 3:15 menus were taken away from us and dinner menu given to us stating they gave us the wrong menu. Some of us already had decided on items from lunch menu that are not available on dinner. Were sternly told they would make it but for future reference that would not be done.
Food ranged from good to average.
We have been a fan of The Lemongrass for many years. The food is great and the staff is always friendly. Their Cashew Shimp and scallops dinner is the best I’ve ever eaten !!
Our server, Adam, was outstanding! Excellent service. Food is always good. Wine list is decent. Atmosphere is fun. My wife and I always enjoy dinner here.
Everyone was friendly and the food was delicious. There seemed to be too few servers considering how crowded the restaurant was. Not our server’s fault - she was lovely.
Waiter was awesome and provided solid suggestions, food delicious, sat us quickly, and overall a great night!
Great food. And service
We had the sampler appetizer and sushi, all were excellent! Friendly staff and cute restaurant. We were in town for a hockey game, but would visit again if in the area.
On a whim, I brought my girlfriend here for dinner since it was both our first time. As a food connoisseur, I love frequenting new local eateries. To say the least, I had a memorable experience here at lemongrass. Our waiter was very suggestive and accommodating and the dishes we ordered were zestful and piping hot. Only drawback I may take is I did not care too much for the chicken sate appetizer. The peanut sauce was a little too rich to my liking and the chicken was slightly insipid. I was expecting it to be akin to the Thai dish “chicken satay” which typically is skewered, grilled and lightly dab with sauce. Nevertheless, I would definitely return to this establishment in the near future and have another meal.
My partner and I have been to Lemongrass several times before. Tonight we were hoping for a quiet dinner together to celebrate Valentines Day. We entered the restaurant; the host station and bar were upfront and music from the bar area seemed quite loud which in my opinion leads the patrons to have to speak louder to hear each other across the table. The whole restaurant then was too noisy (energetic, as Opentable calls it). We always enjoy the food, the service was fine. For the money spent, we were disappointed with the experience.
Lemongrass is our favorite restaurant in Cbus. Great atmosphere, excellent entrees if you can get past the sushi. Love it!
Not great flavors but a descent meal
We had to wait a little while for our food tonight but it was overall good ! Tried Mad Moon beer (local Columbus Ohio brew) and it was pretty good ! Hidden among the many gems of the short North !
Always great. Go there for the nigiri and the service! Ambience a little dated but the menu choices are creative and diverse. I am Asian American but this is one of my go to places when I am in the Short North.
This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! The service was impeccable and the ambience was absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for excellent food!
The food and service were very good. Unfortunately there is no longer valet parking.
Food was too salty and expensive for the cuisine.
Wide variety on menu options. Fresh ingredients. Great drink menu
Food was very fresh and delicious. Great service on NYE
Enjoyed Lemongrass for our combo New Year's Eve/Wedding Anniversary dinner. The sushi tasted so delicious and fresh, the cocktails were inventive and well balanced, and our host and server were both very friendly and attentive.
The Champagne Duck is a keeper. I'll be ordering this one again. Owners are quite friendly and hospitable. Lemongrass Fusion is a staple of ours.
Delicious sushi, soup and spicy duck dish. The food was worth the near absent wait staff. The flavors are truly a fusion of various Asian cuisines. The presentation was beautiful and not overstated (no tweezers for the chef). The requested adjustments were spot on. Now, if the wait staff could be trained to visit the table on a timely basis, I would gladly give this venue all stars.
Fantastic food, with a lot of option for vegetarians. Both my friend’s and my own dish were delicious! They also don’t seem too overly heavy, greasy or generally unhealthy.
Wonderful experience for our office Christmas dinner! The service was phenomenal and the food was great! Definitely would recommend this restaurant!
It was dick
Good place to eat. We prefer ordered the food. The food was delivered few minutes after we settled down.
Very good service and pleasant dining experience. The food was good not great as Asian goes but certainly more than acceptable. Convenient downtown location, varied menu for food and drink.
Food was good. Had hoped for more authentic Phad Thai. Waiter forgot we ordered a salad. That was never presented. He did readily admit responsibility
