Lemongrass - Delray Beach Ratings and Reviews
I have been to this location many many times before as well as all the other locations and the food has always been excellent however this visit was not the same. The food was ok but excellent as it had been in the past. There are just too many good sushi restaurants around to take the chance of going back here again.
For us one of the gems of delray ... great selection of Asian food ... we had Japanese, Thai and Malaysian and all were authentic .... if a little less spicy than Bangkok for the Thai food. Having local Asian beers a big bonus. Nice and friendly service ... on our "regular must go" list
I was a bit disappointed in this restaurant because of several things. First, we were there to celebrate my daughter's 20th birthday and they do nothing to help you celebrate - no free dessert, song, drink, etc. We were offered a dessert, and then when we asked, we were told it would be charged to us. Okay, I should have called to ask first. The other small issue I had was that my son's egg fried rice was very bland as was was my chicken satay. Not terrible, but just okay. Husband liked his sushi a lot. We will probably be going back there though, due to the super friendly staff and great atmosphere. Our waitress was awesome as were the sushi dudes. Great place to sit outside and people watch as well.
Went to Lemongrass to celebrate my wedding with a small wedding party. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our waitress, Julia, was wonderful. She helped us choose dishes and modified a drink for me from a martini to an iced , fruity delight. We all loved the pork dumplings and pad Thai, but I think the Lobster Roll was the star. My mom adopted Lemongrass as a new favorite. Everything from service to food to drinks, was fantastic.
Food was outstanding. Service was awful. Waiter could barely communicate or answer questions about menu. He rushed away when dropping food before we could ask for anything else. Never checked & generally seemed that we were bothering him.
Food was excellent tho!
Been here many times. Food is well prepared, excellent
We booked for 6:30 to dine early and have Happy Hour, but zero parking dwtn due to new construction and closing of city parking lot. But we were late and staff would not honor Happy Hour. This was unfortunate and unnecessary. They lose a star or 2 on service.
Visiting from landlocked states, we first came to Lemongrass in 2004 and fell in love with it and Delray Beach. We came back for our honeymoon in 2007, then 5 yr anniversary and now our 10th. Great to see the same quality and fresh ingredients are being served. Sushi was excellent as were our entrees. Level of spice was exactly what we ordered. Our one and only complaint this time around was the house mix club music blasting away inside. It was too loud, not necessary (to the point it made Lemongrass seem as if it was desperate to prove it's hip and trendy), and it impacted the overall experience. We go to a nightclub to hear house music; we go to Lemongrass for great food and to be able to talk and enjoy the experience.Fear not, we will be back, but next time, please save the loud music for the club, not at the sushi bar.
