Lelli's of Auburn Hills
seared, sushi-grade blue fin with a tomato & basil vinaigrette
Petite Filet Mignon
16 oz. Bone- in with sauteed mushrooms and our famous zip sauce
Love it! Delicious food!
Love the zip sauce. The service was excellent. The restaurant could use a thorough cleaning
Best experience!! Great food !!
Took mom for 80th birthday.......Never Disappoints. Chad the waiter very attentive & Becky graciously came over to say hello. Food always excellent.
WARNING!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!! This place is HORRIBLE, horrible service, mediocre food, and it's a scam how much they're charging for frozen and canned food. Even expressed my concerns to the manager and she was unbothered and so RUDE!!! She knew this establishment is a restaurant people come to once and never return to, she just cared for us to pay the bill. Please save your money, go to Applebee's or even Mcdonalds, you're better off. I've had better steak, and food in general, for a fraction of the cost of Lellis prices.
Meat sauce on the spaghetti tasted canned.
Salad dressing tasted like it came from a kraft bottle and the spinach in the salad was definitely not fresh. Chicken lellis was mediocre: it came with mashed potatoes that tasted like they were from a box topped with gravy that tasted like it came from a jar/can. The 28 oz tomahawk steak was literally a waste of money - it was bland, dry, overcooked, and just so meh. How bad can you mess up a 90$ steak? Well - ask the staff at Lellis, they'll tell you. They brought out ice cream which came with each of our "traditional entrees" and mine had my waiters finger imprint in it, very appetizing to eat food touched by my servers finger during Covid.
Saying the experience was average would be overselling it. So many great steakhouses in metro Detroit within the same price range, it would be a terrible choice for you to pick Lelli's.
I'm not even sad about the excuse they called "food" or how much the bill was, I'm sad I wasted a precious Friday night with my family for this experience.
Do yourself a favor and don't think twice about eating at this place, you'll thank me.
Pretty awful. Steaks not cooked properly and not flavorful at all. Server inattentive.
We went for my husbands birthday. We got there 15 minutes early from our reservation time. There were 3 tables with people at the time. We then waited 20 minutes before we got a menu and server. In our opinion, the server just did not want to be there and didn’t even introduce himself. He basically went through the bare motions and that was it. I had chateaubriand that was served table side. He basically cut it 2 times and put on the plate and then poured the sauce over it. I anticipated the presentation to be fun and entertaining like most other steakhouses. We have been to many steakhouses and usually get excited to go, enjoy the experience, and the vibe. The food was amazing but service needs to be worked on. We left without dessert and ended up getting ice cream elsewhere.
Old decor -
Restaurant is filthy, Dusty, and Out Dated
With Covid-19 going on not sure how the booths could have a layer of dust on them if the basic cleaning was being preformed.
Stood at the Host a stand for almost 10 minutes when we arrived, saw multiple employees walk by without greeting us. Than saw the hostess put her personal phone down, get up from a table in the bar area, not disinfect her hands or wash them and took us to the table. In case you were wondering no the restaurant was dead with only 5 tables in use.
The Filet was absolutely fantastic. The other courses were just as good.
I will be going back, the steak was cooked to perfection
Another amazing experience at Lellis. Food and service were excellent as always. Very relaxing. We will be back.
Food was good as was the waiter, Tyler. Problem was the apparent backup in the kitchen as it took quite awhile to get the second and third course, and then the final course. They need to tighten that up - especially on a Saturday.
Service and food were awesome. Great recommendation on wine
The server was very good and so was the steak. Everything went well. Also enjoyed the wine and dessert.
eh. Not quite like it was the last two times we visited. Maybe the masks and distancing has something to do with it but the service was slow on getting drinks and food was just ok. In the past I have given 5 stars at this restaurant. Being confronted by another customer claiming we complained about them playing music on their phone when we didn't, also through us off a bit. She said the waiter told us we complained. We did not. We then had to listen to her talk loudly about which one of us was lying when she went back to her table. A little distracting when trying to celebrate your wedding anniversary.
Great Food, Great Service will go back and will encourage friends to try it out
We had an amazing meal and experience at Lelli’s. We will be back!
Dinner of filet and lobster for eight was superb. Our server Chad paid extra attention to every detail. Highly recommend!
Have been going to Lelli's for over a decade now; my favourite being the signature veal parmesan. Service, as always, was excellent as was the ambiance, however, the meal was quite a disappointment. Veal was somewhat overcooked, it lacked that unique Lelli's taste, (actually nearly tasteless) garlic mashed a little stronger than customary. For the price, I would be reluctant to recommend without some precautionary comments.
Been here so many times that I am all but biased. Only thin I dislike is how some dress. While the restaurant has no specific dress code, this is supposed to be upscale...don't wear your cut up jeans and printed T shirt.
Can't miss Filet and Italian selections....get it traditional and try not too eat too much bread as you will be filled up when you leave!
This was an unexpected find. This was my birthday, and since my mother is Italian (Northern Italy)I thought that this would be a great choice for dinner. The facility is nicely adorned inside. The staff were attentive and super accommodating. We certainly will visit again.
Amazing experience from start to finish!
Our reservation was at 8pm. We weren't seated until after 9pm. I asked what's the point of having a reservation if there's an hour wait ontop of it? The host clearly didn't care. I think his name was Jim. Awful service. After we were finally seated we didn't get our main course until 45min later. And it wasn't even good. I'll never come back here.
Nice place, great waiter, very good food, expensive but you get enough for leftovers. We were there on 2/15, they were overbooked and very busy with walk ins for the Valentines holiday. We waited an hour after our scheduled time. It’s nice they have a big waiting area where the bar is, u could relax and have a drink. The original owners great grand daughter (Casey I believe her name was) was diligent about apologizing for the wait and passing Charcuterie tray to those waiting long. It’s great to see longevity in a family business. Congrats.... keep it going! We will be back
Made a reservation on open table 3 weeks before valentines day. Arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and they quoted us a 45 minute wait to be seated. Several people around us were quoted similar but had already been waiting an hour.
Ambiance looked like the place would be good but we ended up leaving. No point in making a reservation if the restaurant won't honor it
Waited an hour and left, waste of time, was booked for 7.0 pm.
We had a reservation Saturday night for 7:00. When we arrived there were people waiting everywhere.
We checked in right on time. We were told there were no tables available. We were put on a waiting list which had at least 12 groups ahead of us. We waited over an hour for a table even though we had a reservation. We were never given an explanation or an apology why are reservation was disregarded. In effect, the restaurant just lied to us when they accepted our reservation. They never had any intention of honoring the reservation. We were treated as a walk-in.
We had a wonderful valentines celebration dinner on 02/15. They did not rush us out like most places do now a days and we enjoyed it very much. Food and staff were amazing. It was a really great experience and very romantic.
Won’t recommend for any event such as Valentine’s Day or mother or Father’s Day. They specifically explained it’s crazy those days and they do not stop taking reservations. We waited over and hour to be seated with reservations and food was cold and not appetizing. Left google review explaining experience as well.
Horrible. They were completely overbooked for Valentine’s Day. We didn’t get seated for a 9:30 reservation until 11pm. We waited for 1.5 hours after that for our dinner, which never came. We ultimately left without eating. Worst experience ever. My husband was starving and had traveled from out of state. We were very very disappointed and dissatisfied
I would give this place a negative star if I could. I’ll NEVER BOOK THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN!!!
Visited Lelli’s on Valentine’s Day. There was absolutely no point reserving the table in advance. We had to wait for 1.45 hours to get our table. The server tried her best to accommodate so many people though. The ambience is nice. That was the only part we liked. Food was average for a restaurant known for Italian food.
We came out for Valentine’s Day. We had reservations for 845. We got seated at 10pm. It’s 1145 and we have yet to get our food. Server is fantastic but the management must have double booked the entire night. I had high hopes for the restaurant but was utterly disappointed.
Lelli’s completely ignored the reservation and took everyone as first come first serve. They didn’t tell anyone they were doing this and only gave estimates of 45 minute or 30 minutes. After waiting for an hour and 30 minutes we decided to leave. The hostess’s was rude and unconcerned with a reply of I just work here. Some people were told it would be 3 hours beyond their reservation but this was just a guess since the reservation was not a consideration in the timing.
It was Valentine’s Day so they knew people had no where else to go. I will never go there again and there were many others that feel the same way.
This was the worst dinning experience I’ve ever had. We booked dinner at 8:45 for Valentine’s Day. We went there and we were told the wait is about and hour even with the reservation. We didn’t get seated till 10:30. The waiter was very kind and kept apologizing even though it wasn’t his fault. Our steaks didn’t come till midnight and weren’t cooked the way we asked for. Very very poor management for Valentine’s Day. We were told they hard over 800 dinner reservations!! Never going back.
It was Valentine’s Day and our experience was just absolutely horrible.. Lelli’s overbooked and there were about 40 other people waiting in the lobby to get seated . My reservations were set at 8:30PM for over 2 weeks.. By the time we got seated at 10:15PM, my girlfriend and I already lost our appetite. Just when I thought the service couldn’t get any worse, it did. Our waitress approached us once and that was to take our order. Never checked up on us or filled up our waters. I understand she was busy throughout the night but I completely blame the management of this facility. In terms of food quality, the food was great. Cannot complain about the food. Overall, the facility was unorganized and had awful customer service. The lady at the front was rude to customers that have been waiting for hours to get seated. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a special occasion or needs them to be reliable for their special event.
Awful, terrible, i will never come back to any of these establishments. Thank you Lellis for ruining my Valentine’s Day.
I made a reservation for Valentine’s Day. We had a 8:30 reservation. Checked in at the restaurant at 8:15 and it was packed. Proceeded to wait an hour and a half to get seated. The wait staff was great and pushed our first three courses through since we waited so long. After our spaghetti, we then had to wait a little over an hour to get our entree. Upon receiving, I told the waiter I was done. We received the wrong order. He gave us a bill for what we owed and we left without finishing our meal. The management overbooked the reservations so severely that the whole place was affected. From the host to the waiter and the kitchen. Worst dining experience ever. Will not return again. We have always loved the food but the last two visits have been terrible
Reservation was at 8:00 pm and we were seated at 9:00 pm. Dinner was ready by 11:00 pm... they booked too many for that night and were understaffed. Food was good though
