My fiancé and I were estatic about going to Lela’s for v-day. I had found it after doing some research on 5 star dining so we were really looking forward to our special evening. I made reservations for 2 for 10pm a week before. We arrived at Lela’s at 9:50pm and were very pleased with the place. We were seated and asked for a regular menu not knowing that they were only doing a vday special menu. The waiter took our special menus and brings back 2 happy hour appetizer menus telling us that the kitchen closes at 10 and we would have to order off of this menu. However, another waitress gave us the vday menus back saying we could order off of it. So after all of this confusion, we ended up having to order off of the happy hour menus. Although the food was fine, I wish we were warned that the kitchen closes earlier. Both of us got off of work late that day and were looking forward to an actual meal and not bar food.

We had a wonderful server who was very attentive, kept the coffee and ice tea rolling, and are breakfast was very good!

I had heard good things about Lela, so I was expecting something better.

My gnocchi dish had good flavor, but it was lukewarm at best. My guess is that it sat for a long time while the other entrees were prepared because service was a bit on the slow side. Letting a dish sit for a long time is a real bush-league move. I would have expected someone in the kitchen to notice that it had been sitting for too long and make a new one.

I know management will say "you should have said something". But here's the thing -- when you're out with a group of people, it's about more than just your food. When you send your food back you ruin it for everyone at the table. It disrupts the rhythm of the evening.

Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food, so maybe it was just my turn to have a bad meal. It's a great looking restaurant with an interesting menu, so I will try Lela again at some point.

What an absolutely wonderful evening. I have not had such great service anywhere in a very long time. We went for what was going to be a business meeting and ended up just being social. Literally the best overall evening out I’ve had in at least a year. If you’re lucky you’ll get to meet the manager Sammy - would not have been the same without him.

I met two friends for Happy Hour food and cocktails, and Lela was an excellent choice! We sat in the bar area and had a comfortable table and were able to talk to one another. Michael provided us excellent service, and the food, wine, and cocktails were very good and the value was excellent! I would definitely recommend Lela, and we plan to make it our spot for our monthly Happy Hour gatherings!

Awesome pasta! We did the pre-fix 3 course lunch and what a great value! The Bolognese was so flavorful as was the mushroom ravioli. We will be back!

We were visiting Minneapolis and this restaurant had very good reviews online. We really enjoyed our meal. The highlights were the meatball appetizer and the crab cakes. Both were fantastic!! The wine list was pretty good and I tried a nice Malbec. For our entrees, we shared a ribeye which was tasty and well cooked. Dessert was the least exciting-- a trio of donuts. They were a little cakey and not super satisfying, but the rest of the meal was really nice.

Great first time experience. Open Table reservation worked perfectly. Service was rock solid. Food choices were great. And biggest hit, outside of NFL/Super Bowl celebrity watching, was the donuts. What a great dessert choice!

The setting is pleasant and sunny for Sunday brunch. Great breakfast menu plus regular menu was available. The House omelet was fluffy and filled with nicely sautéed ingredients. The crab Benedict was excellent with the patty filled with lots of crab meat. Desserts were delicious, the sorbet sampler and chocolate cake. Service was efficient and friendly.
