Very unattended and uneventful evening. Would consider going back, but nothing particular to draw.
We took our adult children for dinner and wanted a place that we could have a conversation. There was just the right amount of background noise. food was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Taking advantage of Restaurant Week, we decided to try Lela for dinner on a Friday night. The dining room is wide open with hard-surfaced tile walls and a view of the kitchen so it was very lively with all tables nearly full, but not super busy. The booth seat my wife sat on was very hard and uncomfortable while my chair was comfortable so we exchanged seats and she was right, it hurt my bottom after a while.
The Restaurant Week dinner menu was 3 courses so we opted to order from that. Adelle, our server, was prompt and knowledgeable offering menu suggestions that I always appreciate. He started off by saying that the dishes were mostly Italian inspired I would disagree. Being Italian, a meatball appetizer and a gnocchi dish do not define Lela as an Italian Restaurant as seen in the offerings we chose. For the appetizer course, we ordered Lela’s Simple Salad with cherry tomatoes and lemon vinaigrette, and the Peruvian Ceviche of Hamachi with coconut milk, lime juice, habanero chili, garlic, ginger, and cilantro. The salad was just okay, and the Hamachi was quite watery indicating it was not freshly prepared and all I could taste was lime juice. The other flavors were washed out so it was not a pleasant dish. My wife had the Steak & Frites, a perfect medium-rare hanger steak with freshly made fries. The fries were not as crispy as they should be but tasted fresh. I had the Pan Roasted Skuna Bay Salmon with “melted leeks, mushrooms, and beure blanc lemon butter sauce that I pared with a glass of Böen Pinot Noir that was superb! The salmon was nicely roasted and moist that pared perfectly with the leeks and sauce – for sure the best dish of the night! The Chocolate Mousse was actually a small dry chocolate cake with something resembling chocolate shavings, but was actually a sugary wafer broken up over the top. Lela was a hit and miss for us on many counts and not a restaurant I will likely go back to, especially with the loud noise levels. There are better options!
Hi Foodii Many thanks for joining us in Lela for Restaurant Week. Feedback from our guests is vital to the growth and development of our team and while it is never pleasant to hear when we fell short of a guests expectation, it is important that we do. I was delighted to hear that you found your server to be knowledgeable and that your enjoyed our Skuna Bay Salmon - it is one of my favorite dishes! Hopefully you will give us another opportunity to welcome you back in the future.
We e been here a couple of times, the Devi e is phenomenal and the food is fantastic. Great wine list!
We look forward to welcoming you back soon NicoleJ!
Loved their lunch pre fixe menu for only $15. Lots of options that all sounded delicious. Everyone at our table enjoyed their choices.
Nice space and interesting menu but really the food was just OK except for the french fries which were fabulous. we ate there on restaurant week so we may have not had their best work
Also our server was great and very accommodating
Hi Seagull, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I was delighted to hear that you enjoyed the fries but it sounds like we fell short of your expectations in a few areas also. I would appreciate the opportunity to make things right and would encourage you to reach out to me directly so we can go about doings so. Andrew Avila Director of Operation 952 656 5901
It was a great meal! Meatball ap is one of the best ever. Salmon entree was also excellent. Good wine selection.
Hi BarbaraS, Thank you for your wonderful feedback, we are very proud of our award winning wine list! Our signature meatball has been a crowd pleaser since the day we opened and is great on its own as an app or served as an entree on top of our house made bucatini. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
The cocktail I had - a Jack Rose - was exceptional and I've thought about it for days afterwards.
The appetizer (a meatball) and the main dish (lobster gnocchi) were tasty but the sauces were definitely made by someone with a heavy-hand in the salt department. The chocolate mousse cake was very good, but the outside of it was surprisingly dry.
The service was slow, which was okay as my friend and I caught up, but if we'd had places to go the wait to order drinks and to receive our food would have been too much.
The food was fantastic. The waiter was fun and very knowledgeable. The ambiance was good, we had a conversation while eating
Hi Felicia, Thank you for taking the time to provide this wonderful feedback. We look forward to seeing you back soon!
Delicious! Only wish there was a little more in my bolognese serving.
Will return!
Hi Cuteshopper, We are glad to hear that you found the bolognese to delicious!
I've heard a few people talk highly of Lela, but it just wasn't my experience. Nothing was disastrously wrong, it simply wasn't worth the money for me.

Very nice dining room, bar area looks great for hhour. We were there for dinner for RW, but also early enough for hhour so server made sure we got the better of each deal. Food was delicious and service was top-notch.
Hhour looks like it could be a great deal. This restaurant is definitely on our revisit list!
The ambiance was amazing. Very nice layout and I liked the use of plants. The food was unmemorable. We had the ceviche and meatball as an appetizer. The meatball tasted as good as a processed ball of meat is. The ceviche was very tastey. The lobster Gnocchi was simply not good. The pungent smell of fish permeated our nostrils and the taste seemed to echo that. The desert was good, I recommend the trees lechery cake.
Our server was Jose. He was awesome! Personable, timely, and considerate. Our food was quite delayed and he checked on us explained the delay.
Food was great, service was pretty weak given it was a Monday night. Might be back as a once a year type thing.

Not super impressed with out server. It wasn't very busy and she only had maybe 3 tables. We would have ordered more drinks had she been more on the ball. She just didn't have a go-getter attitude. Food was outstanding! We'll be back.

Terrible service. We waited over an hour for our salad and waited for our food. Finally asked for our check before the food arrived...the bartender where we were seated said sorry and that’s all we received. We didn’t have to pay for our salad and glass of wine. We still left a top which I think wasn’t necessary...no manager or any other management offered an explanation. I won’t be back or recommend this!!

Had a very nice late lunch; service was good although never came back with refill of drinks.
Restaurant week menu for lunch was excellent and a great deal!

I am also delighted to let you know that we offer a $15 prix fixe lunch menu every Monday - Saturday so hopefully we will see you back soon to sample some more of our wonderful dishes.
Very disappointing visit for restaurant week. Did not receive the first course for over an hour and ended up having our meal paid for as apology for poor service.

Appetizer arrived an hour after we ordered. We were in restaurant over two hours waiting for food. Server never once came to apologize or give update on food. When we inquired nicely at end of meal why so slow she was rude and just said everybody came at once. We had a reservation and there were many empty tables so I don't believe that was the problem. Food was ok but there is no excuse for the terrible service we received.

It was restaurant week and you could order items separate on regular menu for same price. It was pointless. The ceviche wasn’t very good
Hello Many thanks for reaching out with your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you did not like the ceviche, it is normally one of our most popular crudo dishes! We use our restaurant week prix fixe menus to give people to opportunity to sample some of our most popular items but will certainly consider using it as an opportunity to showcase some new additions in the future. Thanks
The brunch was great and the staff was really welcoming and friendly.

Amazing personal service from the moment we walked in the door! Warm yet sophisticated ambiance, outstanding food and quiet enough to have a conversation without the need to shout over the table!
Literally one of the best meals I have ever had. The scallops were amazing!!! Would definitely recommend!
Had brunch here with a few of my friends and we LOVED it! the service was great, food was delicious! only complaint would be that the waffles were a little hard but i think it was because of the way they were sitting out on a hot tray over a burner. Otherwise, beautiful space, delicious food.
Hi MonicaX, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on brunch, we are delighted to hear that you loved it! We will be sure to pass on your feedback to chef about the waffles so we can make sure they are better the next time you join us. Thanks
This buffet had so many options! I was impressed with the quality of food, the service and the calm ambience. It was getting busier by the time I left but it was still really quiet and pleasant. I will definitely be back!
25 years since we first met. Married 24 years
Waitress didn’t come until an hour after we were seated
The service was good and the ambience is not bad but the seating arrangement was not good. We came as a couple and were seated in a bench, table, chair scenario. There were many open spots. Unfortunately, they seated another couple right next to us. It was too close to fully enjoy our experience. The salmon was a bit dry.
Fabulous, fabulous food with wonderful wine pairings. The service is impeccable and on point. One of our fav places, for years.
Service and atmosphere was great. Some food selections were salty and not valued at the price in our opinion.
Declined in quality over the years.
I had the lamb chops, and although cooked perfectly, the potato purée was dry and bland.
Brussels sprouts are incredible when indeed, caramelized-sadly, these were without color at all.
My wife’s sea scallop dish was wonderfully flavor packed and cooked with a beautiful sear.
My wife ordered a Moscow Mule, which was very weak and not worth the cost.
I would also expect an artisan bread and maybe a compound butter to be served based on the overall cost of the evening.
We both had salads, which were fine, but forgettable and finished with tiramisu-which was just fine.
Service was good, but we’ve had much better food experience in the 5 or so times we’ve previously been.
The food was great, and so was our server Michael. He went over the menu and answered any questions we had.
This is our third time there. The first time was over a year ago and was great. The second time we went, it wasn't busy but because we didn't have reservations we had to wait even though over half the restaurant was empty. The manager kept running away instead of seating us and finally a waiter was looking at us wondering why we weren't seated and we had to find our own chairs and silverware The last time we made reservations and for some reason they keep changing the number of people on our reservations multiple times so finally I gave up and corrected when I got there. Service was okay, they were already charging us a 18% gratuity and never asked to refill our juices or coffee, but did refill our waters and most part cleared our plates. After 1.5 hrs in the entire block didn't have electricity and we noticed people were still coming in and eating, but the workers were putting away the already cooked food and pastry so that was a bit odd. No apologies it explanations about taking away food 2 hours before the brunch buffet was supposed to end. Also when we had asked for tobasco sauce someone in the kitchen said they ran out, but we asked our waitress and she brought some out.
It was a good reasonably priced brunch.
Beef tips were great.
Service was excellent. Not very busy. Fritters fries were excellent. The beets salad was refreshing. The steak pasta was a little salty for my liking. The desserts were awesome but we were too full. The bread was good too and it would have been better if it was served warm!
Great restaurant. We had the salmon, scallops and sirloin. All were done well with nice presentation. We very much enjoyed the ahi appetizer. Just the right amount of spice. Look forward to returning and sampling more of their menu
