As a self-proclaimed brunch enthusiast, I was excited to visit Lela based on the online reviews and photos. However, I was disappointed that my experience did not live up to my expectations.

When you drive up to the restaurant, it is important to note that Lela is located inside of the Sheraton Hotel; this was not called out when I made reservations on OpenTable. However, when you pull up, there is ample parking and a dedicated entrance. When you walk in into the space, it has a simple elegance to it. But the one other thing that really surprised me was...my five person party were the only guests in the restaurant.

When we sat at our table, our server remained attentive throughout the service. She shared that the Eggs Benedict was the most ordered and her favorite menu item; my two friends who ordered it commented that the taste was average. My friend who ordered the pancakes said they were middle of the road and my other friend who ordered a shrimp pasta dish said she thought her dish was average.

I wanted to a menu item that was more unique, so I ordered the donut sliders. I love a sweet savory/salty dish, so I thought this would satisfy my taste buds. Though the presentation was ok, the taste was subpar. The slider was not well proportioned to the donut bun; the donut bun was far more dense than I anticipated; the flavors did not blend well together. I also ordered a side salad and I enjoyed that more even though it was just greens with dressing.

Though the price was right, the taste was not. Therefore, I would not recommend this establishment for brunch. Perhaps, it is best to just visit during dinner for steak, but I will likely never discover if this is true.

Three of us enjoyed the Christmas buffet. The food was delicious with the usual wide variety of dishes to choose from, each and every one done to perfection.

Fabulous! Attended the Christmas dinner buffet and my expectations were far surpassed. My 93 year old mother (in a wheel chair) LOVED the Prime Rib, the green beans, the salad and everything else. I'm not a meat eater and yet found many, many vegetarian options, all of which were fabulous. I'm curious to return and try their regular menu. In short, this is not your typical hotel restaurant. Far better!!

To start with our food took over 1.5 hours to get after we ordered. Side note we were on the early end for dinner-5:30. We were a party of 5 and everybody ordered different entrees. My steak ordered medium well was overdone as was my vegetable dish. My husband ordered a gluten free pasta that was undercooked (hard and chewy). All of us were underwhelmed. I rarely write a negative review but this was a really expensive meal-Christmas Eve- and a huge disappointment. The server was fine and the atmosphere was also fine.
