Meal was over priced. Small portion. Server was not knowledgeable on the menu. He indicated a yes to a,question on a particular entree and when it was presented it was not the entree we posed a question about. Food was nothing spectacular.

We were just disappointed. We are home cooks and we enjoy going out to sample well-prepared food. The seasonal Brussels sprouts were well seasoned but mushy. The mushroom ravioli dish was well put together but too "al dente". The spicy tuna tacos were interesting with their plantain shells, but the shriracha sauce overwhelmed the tuna (and we like spicy tuna sushi a lot).

Amazing meal. The ceviche was some of the best I've ever eaten. The taro chips served with it were light and crisp, a perfect combo. I had the broccoli soup which was light and tasted nicely of the vegetable itself, not cream. The beef tongue tortellini was outstanding. I would have preferred the pasta to be a tad bit more cooked - it was really al dente, bordering on undercooked -- but the beef both it was swimming in was nectar of the gods. My spouse and I shared the donuts for dessert. The chocolate one was fine but the other two of the trio were fabulous, especially the toasted rice one. I'm still thinking about it days later.

Meatball app was great, the petite steak was just that....overall food tasted good-service was incredibly slow (even getting our drink order in and then finally delivered) especially when there were not many other patrons in the restaurant. If you don't mind 3 hour dinners when your not planning for one you'll be fine

Seafood was excellent. We would come more often if it was not so noisy. It was difficult to hear across the table unless friends talked very loud. So it was difficult to have a relaxing meal with 4 people.

Creative flavors and artistic presentation. Noise level allowed for conversation unlike most restaurants. Liked the modern design of the restaurant. I will definitely return

The food and service was generally pretty good. I did order a "special" halibut for $28 and it was a tiny piece of halibut on a large plate. No presentation, no rice, no lettuce, no drizzle, just a very small piece of halibut! That was not a good choice. Everything else the others ordered was pretty good.

Came here because we looking for a a quiet place (hard to find in today's restaurants industry) to bring our friends who have have some hearing problems. Lela's was very accommodating to our needs. And the food was very good.

Lela was very disappointing. We went for a date night during restaurant week as their restaurant week menu looked good. Unfortunately the food was awful. The broccoli soup and salad was bland. The salmon was way overcooked and horrible to eat. The service was horrendous. We had to wait over an hour for our main course. Lela to be one of the most overpriced restaurants in the city. Would not recommend to anyone.

Superb Friday afternoon pizza with my wife at Lela's. Great tasting pizza, and superb service. We will be back! Great indoor and outdoor seating with a bar in the back. Best pizza -- period!

Food was excellent. Service was slow. 10 minutes to get 1st cocktail. Main course served to 3 of 4 at our table with no silverware. Waited 7-8 minutes to get 4th meal and longer to get forks. Food was great but service disappointing.

This was our second time. We came for lunch and it was restaurant week. We really like the food and service. Glad you participate in restaurant week or we would never have known about your restaurant. We will be back for lunches. Your deviled eggs are "food art". Wonderful experience. Service was great both times we have visited.

1. Waitress nice but inexperienced with wine. Two wines were selected from the wine list were not available. A third was corked.
2. Had to send most food items back. Most were not hot. Steak was ordered med-rare, came med-well.
3. When food and wine eventually came as ordered, it was good.

The service was very impressive. The atmosphere was perfect for most occasions. It wasn't too loud so you could carry on a conversation and not so quiet that you were sharing your conversation others. Very professional staff. Easy to find and good parking. Drove from Hudson, WI.

Took our daughter here for her 18th Birthday. It was a surprise. This was our first time dining at this restaurant. The service was impeccable. The presentation of the dinners served was beautiful and the taste of the food was awesome.
The service by all staff made us feel welcome and appreciated.

This restaurant space has been transformed into a contemporay spot that is open and welcoming. Great for a vibrant after work meeting place or for a relaxing, beautifully prepared dinner. Food choices are innovate, fresh and diverse. Try the homemade veal ravioli with beef tongue--fabulous.

Absolutely amazing food and absolutely abismal service. Place had no more than 15 people and our waiter was never around being more interested in talking to his co workers than waiting on our table. It was infuriating. Did he think we were just tourists who won't return so why bother? Hopefully they have better severs in the place because the food quality and presentation was wonderful. We will give it another try and cross our fingers.

Only offered brunch not lunch menu on Saturday. Even though the website said it serves the lunch menu daily.

Although there was no one else in the restaurant the service was slow and unattentive. Order Salmon Caesar which was served raw/rare and when I sent it back it took 15 minutes to re-prepare and by then the whole family had finished their meal. I was more surprised to see I was charged $20 for the salad.

Love the atmosphere/ambiance but probably won't go back on a weekend because service and food was so poor. Weekdays they seem to have the A-squad and deliver a better experience.

We went to Lela for the first time for the Sunday brunch to celebrate my mother's 91st birthday. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Lovely restaurant, not too loud, my mom was able to enjoy the conversation. Hope it stays that quiet because we'd like to go back!

Was in town visiting and meet several friends there for different meals. menu was all delicious and wine list extensive. We needed a place to sit for hours and catch up, and everyone was gracious about that. Luckily could sit outside since frankly it's a little noisy inside with not enough sounds-absorbing decor or something... But staff and food and ambience were all top-notch.

The veal tortellini here is the best I've ever had. Perfectly al dente and delicious flavors to match. My wife had the yellowfin tuna, which was also delicious. They have an extensive wine list, and their wait staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Highly recommended.

This was a special reunion dinner with several friends. The staff was so helpful in helping us select a table where we could all enjoy each others' company. We chose a variety of small plates and entrees and all were wonderful, and good value for the portion size. And some of us even had dessert -great donuts and meringues- even though we shouldn't have. Service was attentive and unobtrusive throughout our lengthy stay. Thanks to all at Lela who helped us have such a good time!
