We had an enjoyable evening and great meal. Thank you
The owner is very involved and so personable. The food is delicious and the atmosphere perfect
For a date night or evening with friends. I’ve also been here for much and it’s a terrific value.
Once again a great dinner, made all the more memorable by great service (Sonny) and attention to detail.
We decided we would break from our normal routine and went with the suggestions provided by our server. We were really glad we did, discovering some things that were not even on the menu!
I don’t consider myself an expert on Indian cuisine, but in my 60+ years of dining out I have never eaten in an Indian restaurant that elevates the dining experience to such high levels. The preparation and presentation are equally excellent. Seafood is cooked just enough and tougher protein sources like lamb are rendered tender and juicy. This was my 4th visit there and I consistently leave reminding myself that I must return more often.
The restaurant was quiet (Monday evening). Our table was 8:30pm. The staff were overly keen to get us out of the restaurant, I assume so they could close & leave. In this manner the Restaurant fell short of expectations. Please note, I do not usually complain.
Has been our great pleasure to introduce several friends to this type of food. There is no where we would rather take them as a great example. We were not disappointed, neither were they.
Always a great place to dine. The owner and the staff are very attentive. Wine selection is excellent. Food quality is wonderful.
A nice range of classics and some modern/American twists. Nice and spicy. A nice drinks menu and good for children.
My first meal at Letha was a pleaser experience. The restaurant was not too crowded for a Friday evening. The food was perfect with portions that fit our group perfectly. I particularly liked that they tailor d the spicey-ness for our taste.
Very well done Indian classics in a very nice venue with excellent service.
Fabulous as always. They never disappoint!
This restaurant continues to be our favorite! Nothing makes you feel more comfortable than when the owner comes by to chat and make recommendations. We love it!
Lehja was a great setting for our group of 12. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The staff went out of their way to add to our celebration. We really appreciated their little touches to add to the special occasion.
I would highly recommend this place for casual dining and any special ocassion. We would definitely be going there again when we are in the area.
We go because we expect quality in all regards of the dining experience. We continue to go because we are not disappointed.
Lehja is my family's go to place. We love the Indian food that they serve and the service the restaurant offers. Every time we visit, we end up trying some new dish which is creative and delicious. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Richmond area. They have awesome Goat curry and chicken dishes. In this visit, I tried Malai Kulfi and it was great...reminded me of old days in India.
Great surprise had a 3 course prix brunch menu. Excellent food, asked what level of spicy and service undisruptive yet filled water glasses and removed completed plates.
Lehja never misses the mark. The food was amazing, as usual and the service was impeccable. Nitesh was especially wonderful as he came over and provided recommendations on food and wine. He was there at just the right times to help, without making us feel rushed or overwhelmed. We are on the newly opened outdoor/indoor patio and the ambiance was great. It’s open and airy and gives you all the benefits of dining al fresco, without the downside.
This is an wonderful restaurant. Food and service is top notch. One of the very best in the Richmond area
This was our second visit to Lehja’s. We had a party of six. Our waiter was not helpful during this visit. We ordered similar entrees as we did in February. Very little meat in the Lamb shanks, duck and butter chicken entrees. Had to order two more entrees to feed the entire party. Dishes had more sauce than meat. We were extremely disappointed. Not the same experience we had in February.
Good food, dodgy ambience... awkward service. On our recent visit -- a Sunday evening -- the restaurant was virtually empty. The waitstaff, probably eager to get home , hovered over us, continually asking if we were ready to order. It was uncomfortable. Then, when I asked one of the servers if he would adjust our table, which was wobbling due to the floor's unevenness, he suggested we move, rather than simply place a sugar packet under the uneven leg. We made the adjustment ourselves.
Then there's the restaurant's decor. In a word, it's become "tired." The restaurant has lots of hard surfaces and doesn't use tablecloths, which gives it somewhat of a cafeteria ambience. Our table's white top was chipped leaving a large ugly dark mark in front of my plate. It was unsettling, to say the least. This, coupled with dingy lighting, made for a somewhat less than pleasant dining environment. Still, the food itself was good.
Honestly, I much prefer Anokha. The food is equally as good and the restaurant has a fresh, contemporary feel -- with tablecloths. I think Lehja is ready for a re-boot. We won't be back anytime soon... unless it's takeout!
Always great food with very pleasant and attentive staff. The specials are very creative.
We loved everything about this place. Best Indian food we have ever had. Service was very good. Wait staff very knowledgeable. We plan to go back at least once a month. Ranks as one of the top 5 restaurants ever experienced.
a bit pricey
need more side dish options
The food was delicious. We went with some of the server recommendations and they were good choices. The medium heat was spicy but did not burn. Naan was the best part!
Outstanding food and service. Owner Sonny always helpful with wine selection and having food prepared with the amount of spice you like.
Sunny and his staff are always on point and the food is terrific
We had lamb biriyani and a chicken dish in a cashew sauce. Both were very good, as was the regular naan. While dining, we overheard the waiter inform another guest that they also were able to prepare dishes that were not on the menu, and the waiter described a specific one - palak chaat (a spinach dish) - which we have had at another Indian restaurant, and which we would have ordered had we known the restaurant could make it. It would be nice if waiters offered these additional options without having to be asked specifically about them.
Fantastic dinner as always. Wonderful food and service.
This was my first Indian food experience . Restaurant is connected to a mall . Dress is casual . The temperature of restaurant was a little warm for me as if air conditioning wasn't working properly . Waiter was unethusiastic just took our orders and was like here you go . However there is a delightful man who walks around I assume owner, who caters to your every need . He is the reason this place is a success . He explained and suggested different options recommended drinks all with enthusiasm . Basically his service makes up for waiters lackluster service . Food was phenomenal ! Loved the garlic naan and the Lahoori lamb shank . The seafood is great and the appetizer cauliflower fantastic . I'm gettting hungry just thinking about it . I will be back !
Wonderful evening with fantastic food and service - always a great experience
Always a delight dining @Lehja
Wonderful , authentic and original Indian taste
The food at Lehja is absolutely out of this world delicious! Five of us shared three appetizers: chaat, samosas and marinated cauliflower, each one a festival of flavors, and then each had our own entree with naan and roti. Everyone was delighted. On this busy Mother's Day evening, they were having computer problems, which affected the speed of service, but service was friendly and decent, just slower than ideal, which is why I didn't give five stars there. I highly recommend Lehja -- worth the drive out to Short Pump for this city family!
Food as always was amazing. Never disappointed here.
Wonderful lunch with my wife & son.
Amazing flavors.......not your average Indian restaurant.
A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.
The food and service were excellent. The only thing that was weird was the waiter brushing crumbs from two of the three plates he was placing on the table with his bare hands instead of bringing out clean plates. My husband had the Chicken Masala which was excellent and I had the Chicken Dalcha also very good.
Delicious, authentic, and elegantly presented Indian food in a stylish environment with attentive service. The prix fixe weekend brunch is an outstanding value.
Always a favorite
Food was over cooked, portion small for entree, vegetables undercooked and cold, service not accommodating.
