Food, service wonderful experience. Even had the manager take his time and speak with us and gave us a sample fish off the menu. Great times.
Great food and price. Enclosed outdoor dining area quite chilly so I would advise not to sit there in winter.
Excellent food and service with a nice atmosphere. Probably my favorite Indian restaurants in Richmond.
Consistently excellent. I love Indian food & I find Lehja's to be a cut above. I try other places but always return here. We had attentive service, good wine, and delicious food. My standby is Chicken Tikka Masala & this was just perfect. I also appreciate that they are careful to adjust the level of spiciness to each person's preference.
Food is phenomenal and the wine menu is impressive. The wait staff is very knowledgeable about food and wine pairings as well as each of the dishes. This is one of my favorite restaurants.
Thanks to Sunny. Great Food and Team enjoyed the LUNCH !!!
The food was excellent. The service was not. Both times I’ve been here the service is VERY VERY slow. They bring the apps out before the drinks. The server informed us and complained about how slow the bartender was. Our 4 top table ordered 4 glasses of wine and they arrived 20 minutes later, one at a time (no joke). The server seemed unphased when we asked what was taking so long. I’m chatting with other folks, this seems to be the norm for Lehja. Great food, slow/poor service
Great food and service
Always came here for Christmas dinner. I think this past one will be the last. Our server barely looked at us and gave the impression that he didn’t like us. The noise level made for an unpleasant experience. The food is good. And we’ve had good experiences here in the past, but service and comfort has gone down hill for us.
Some wonderful choices. Not your typical Indian meal. Authentic food, knowledgeable, friendly service. Would return.
We always get such great service and attention. Our waiter did a good job helping us pick out selections we would be happy with. Everything we had was delicious!
Holiday meal with out of town family who love Indian food. Everyone raves about how delicious our meal was!!
Great food, great atmosphere and wonderful service.
Best restaurant in the entire city!
Had an early dinner (430) on a Saturday evening. They were able to get us right in. The Gobe Manchuria (spelling) was very good as was the tomato coconut soup. The rest of the meals were average. Prices were comparable to other like restaurants. The place did not stand out to me.
This place prepares and serves genuine Indian dishes. The suggestions for a before meal munchie was spot on. Two dishes split four ways was just right. Fried spinach and kale for one and fried cauliflower for the other. My wife and I both had the Seafood Kerala Curry for the main course. Excellent! We'll be back.
Dining out can easily be compared to receiving a service from someone. They prepare the food, you eat it. That applies to the vast majority of restaurants from fast food to fine dining. At some level, it is really just about providing a service.
The quality of the food, the attention to detail, the interaction with staff in terms of making suggestions and welcoming you on your return visits go far beyond simple provision of a service. There's a bit more. As in "This Is Spinal Tap," Lehja provides...
Hands down the best Indian food in Richmond.
Lehja is the best Indian restaurant in RVA (and that is saying something considering the other fine Indian restaurants in RVA).
Great overall experience! Food was delicious and outstanding service.
Truly wonderful service, food and environment. So thankful for the staff's recommendations and attention to detail. Highly recommend.
This again what is it outstanding dinner! Again Sunni and his staff never disappoints. We return for our nephews birthday celebration and Sunni made all the suggestions and order all the food including pairing cocktails and wine with the selections! We also had a fascinating history lesson as to where the food comes from in certain parts of India and how they are prepared. Is expertise and passion for his restaurant and food is unparalleled! Highly recommend this fantastic and authentic Indian restaurants without hesitation. Thank you for always making it so special, Sunni.
We love Lehja! The service is outstanding and their food is dream-worthy. Highly recommended.
The food was spectacular! It was prepared well and visually appealing. The staff were friendly, professional and quick. I will definitely be back.
Amazing food - we ate family style and every dish was a hit!
Wonderful food. Love the owner. Go here whenever in Richmond.
Wednesday is wonderfully quiet although filled with business people and some families.. We had a lovely anniversary celebration. While I have enjoyed Lehja at least 3 times previously.. I tried some new dishes that were tender, flavorful and deliciously fragrant. These dishes included a cauliflower appetizer, goat, and lamb as well as the best eggplant (with spinach) main dish I have ever had! We will continue to return to Lehja!!!!!
The food was good and the waiters were very attentive to our needs.
I always enjoy coming here and always have a great experience.
Lehja has been our favorite Indian restaurants of late. The food is always wonderful and authentic. We love it! However, on our most recent visit two things took away from an otherwise great dining experience. First, one entree at our table of four was delivered 10-15 minutes after the other three had been served and were eating their meals. That was not acceptable, but the waiter mentioned something about the entree being burned and had to be redone? Not sure? Secondly, we were seated in the area with the open air windows. That's usually a quieter place to sit and is very pleasant. On this visit a large group of 10 adults and 4 extremely loud toddlers were seated next to us. Immediately we were shouting over the noise in order to continue any conversation we were having. It would be a benefit to the smaller groups to have the larger groups seated together in one of the inside spaces. Our meal ended as quickly as it could so we could get out of there. Unfortunate. Hopefully, our next visit will be different.
Disappointing.....waiter did not get order right.... finally brought out dish late....
Wonderful food, but our waiter was very slow and not very profesional.
It was our anniversary and we did not remember that it was restaurant week and might have trouble getting a reservation in some of the busier restaurants. Then I saw that Lehja was participating and know that they are less mainstream and hence more interesting than some of the better known restaurants. This is a treasure! Delicious, well prepared Indian food and a nice wine list are their strong points. The friendly helpful staff will guide you if you are not familiar with all the ingredients. It was a bit noisy inside so we sat in the enclosed patio and had a very enjoyable night.
This was Restaurant week so had the set price combination. My vegetarian entrée was very good however the Cod my wife had was fairly bland. The service was disorganized and inattentive. Overall it was average not sure what all the praise is about.
First time at an Indian Restaurant, was wonderful. Very helpful staff related to dietary restrictions.
Looking forward to having some authentic Indian cuisine and Lehja did deliver on its wonderful tasting dishes however there were a few issues. Even after making a reservation waited for about 20 mins before being seated. I had a piece of plastic in my dessert. The staff coming around to collect the bill was pushy and rude...he did not speak much English. After being prompted, my dessert was not billed for.
Hopefully the next experience will be better.
Great new take on Indian classics.
Good vegetarian options.
The service and food were outstanding! This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be returning.
The best Indian food in Richmond! It is our new favorite place to dine and never disappoints.
First time for my friend eating Indian cuisine. She enjoyed the samosa and naan s well as chicken and the portobello with tofu. Yum to everything yesterday at Letha.
