From steaks, chops and creative daily specials, Legno is sure to satisfy your senses.
Our interior design reflects the significance of the word, ‘legno’, pronounced (LEH-nyoh), which means ‘wood’ in the Italian language. A perfect mix of blended wood tones, exposed red brick & warm glow from the blaze of our wood fired oven creates a cozy & inviting ambiance. Staying true to our roots, we capture the traditionally inspired & impeccable fresh tastes of the Old World cuisine with a contemporary twist.

Food is good and price is great. The pizza taste fresh, and they got this amazing appetizer - their Legno Cauliflower & Brussels Sprouts. Great selection of beers also.
FISH WAS TOO WELL DONE---VERY DRY!
SPAGHETTI DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH SAUCE!
GREEK SALAD WAS SMALL FOR THE PRICE!
CARROT CAKE WAS GOOD......
No return bad bad news bad news do not go there preppy not good Italian restaurant
Server and food were excellent!
Food was terrible. Very play-doh like mozzarella on pizza
Extremely excited to see stuffed zucchini flowers (it's seasonal) it took me back to our southern Italy trip in positano
We are new to the neighborhood, previously living in Lakeview, and are very impressed by Legno and other gems in the neighborhood. We will definitely all be back together or with other friends.
Great service, lovely food with a nice atmosphere. Good value and easily a regular spot.
We have been to Legno several times in the past and this was our least favorite due to lack-luster service. The restaurant was not busy, perhaps 1/3 full, and our server did not put her best foot forward. Twice we had to ask a second time for the same thing and one time had to get up and go get it from the serving station area. We did not make unrealistic demands and were patient but our food would have been cold had we not got up and caught out what we needed. The food was good but the server definitely made the dinner less enjoyable.
We waited over an hour to get our food, and when it finally arrived (after we complained) it was lukewarm at best.
The waitstaff also appeared to be working all the tables, so it took a long time to get refills on drinks etc
Will not return
Very disappointed as this is a neighborhood restaurant
We were so happy to discover this location and loved their happy hr specials, such as 1/2 price wines or 1/2 pizzas depending on the day of the week
The fried calamari was good. Crispy not soggy. I didn't like the sauce it was served with. It was sour tasting. I was looking forward to eating here for their Italian style wood burning oven pizza and unfortunately I was disappointed. The pizza was not even hot when it was served. The dough/crust tasted okay but the sauce was awful. It tasted like raw tomato sauce straight out of a can. My sister got the white pizza with spinach and ricotta and it was the worst one of all the pizza's we got. It was bland and had no taste to it at all. We got gelato for dessert but i guess not many people order it because it literally had chucks of ice in it like it had freezer burn. The staff was nice and the place is nice but the food was not good so I won't be going back.
Very much enjoyed our first visit there. Delicious food, great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Thank you for making our Anniversary Date a day to remember!
We really want to like this place, as it is local and as far as we know, independent, but our first experience wasn't amazing. Calamari was pretty good and hot, and our salads were good although one of the salads out of five arrived a full 15 minutes after the other four. It took at least 20 minutes to get our drinks, maybe longer. A wrong appetizer was left at our table, and our server was just always gone for a really long time. It was quite strange, as the restaurant was nearly empty. Our entrees were just ok and were not hot. We will give it another try, but we are hoping that they can step up their service a lot and their food quality too.
This is a great p;lace for food with family/friends/date!
The food is amazing, staff are friendly and professional.
Will visit soon.
Hard to be a vegan at this place
Great value. Decent food and wonderful location. Varied menu with something for all palates.
Excellent food and service!
Everyone in our party enjoyed a different dish!
Really good food. Very nice staff. They were very accommodating for my sister in a wheelchair also
It was great. The server was great, the busboys were so attentive. Even the manager came out and asked how every way going. It was great. I will definitely come back here!
I am always satisfied with Legno but I've got a few suggestions on the food.
The chef needs to master eggs over med. Our steak and eggs had very well done eggs which could be lifted from the whites in a hard mass.
The Egg Benedict where the smallest I have ever seen. It looked like the plate was nearly empty. My suggestion would be to service three instead of two and raise the price if need be.
Great food and great service! Great for adults and kids.
We enjoyed another family special event at Legno's, and it was terrific as usual.
Incredible menu, comfortable seating in very nice surroundings!
Everyone really enjoyed the great food, attentive service and happy family time.
Great food and drinks. Jimmy is fantastic - provided great service!
Excellent food and service. A nice neighborhood surprise.
Amazing food and great service. We will be sure to come back and visit again.
The staff is a little too bothersome, they come to the table every few mintes trying to clear your plates or food. Make you feel rushed and as if they want you to leave.
Great brunch food. They have bottomless mimosas, but would love if they would also do bottomless bloody marys. There is not a lot of variety on the breakfast menu, but I have now been twice and was happy with my selection both times. Also, don't come here thinking that you can get anything spicy. I have asked for extra spicy with my bloody Mary's and extra spicy with my food and it still comes out super bland. We had a large group though and service was excellent and timely.
Legno's is our favorite neighborhood restaurant, but it's perfectly suited for upscale business entertainment, too. I can't think of one dish we haven't thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end. The fish dishes are among my favorites. The chef knows how to cook and pair fish in the tastiest manner that's both attractive and satisfying. The braised ribs are spectacular, too. We've tried pretty much everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. And service is equally enjoyable! Tiramisu is our favorite dessert. Yumm!
Brought our friend there for his birthday. We had a very enjoyable dinner.
Food & Service was Excellent! The food was very tasty and the servings were perfect! No complaints at all. Will definitely return.
Good food and good service!
We were there on a Monday, a quiet night, which we loved. The food was tasty. Bread was warm and delicious. The only thing I would recommend is that when Legno offers a salad with the meal, they should put it in a separate plate. I did not like this yummy salad next to the sauce from the potatoes and chicken.
Amazing brunch with bottomless mimosas
Was there for Valentine’s Day. Food was super delicious. Restaurant has a very nice ambiance. Loved it. Only thing was our server would go away for a while and come back smelling like a pack of Marlboro cigarettes. She was nice though. I would definitely go back.
It felt the restaurant was under-prepared for Valentine's day dinner. The menu looked appetizing but sadly there were issues. First, we ordered the pizza first course and it was stone cold. We told the waitress this and she just looked as us and finally asked if we wanted it reheated. She brought it back, still stone cold. I want to preface my comments with that typically, I let small things slide as I was once a waitress and I know how hectic Valentine's Day can be but this was just too much.
Second, the food was just ok. For the price I was expecting for a decent dinner for me and my husband but it was just, ok. The champagne was awful and gave me an immediate headache. Most people had bread on their table but we did not even though a couple ahead of us were told they could only order from the Prix Fix menu, so I assume that everyone should have the same thing. The flowers on the table were the absolute worst! How do you advertise a Valentine's Day dinner and have cheap carnations on the table that were green (not even red)? Overall, it was very disappointing and we won't be going back there.
Bloody Marys fabulous to start out our brunch! Crispy green beans, a new app, are so delicious. We both ordered a version of eggs benedict - very nice but we suggest they add more Hollandaise sauce to make them even more delish. Service was superb!
We enjoy the cocktails and what some describe as comfort food. Every time we go, food tastes great, and service is on-point
Usually go here for the bar. Robbie is always awesome and accommodating to us. Last two visits were for the food and both times, the food as absolutely delish!
Good enough food. Excellent salads. Service started out great and after a bit it was as if our server just disappeared. No water refills. Asked for red pepper flakes and he forgot. Our first time there. Would probably go back, but not in a hurry.
