From steaks, chops and creative daily specials, Legno is sure to satisfy your senses.
Our interior design reflects the significance of the word, ‘legno’, pronounced (LEH-nyoh), which means ‘wood’ in the Italian language. A perfect mix of blended wood tones, exposed red brick & warm glow from the blaze of our wood fired oven creates a cozy & inviting ambiance. Staying true to our roots, we capture the traditionally inspired & impeccable fresh tastes of the Old World cuisine with a contemporary twist.

Tables not sat 6ft apart. We sat directly next to another couple. We also had a view of the kitchen and it appeared the cook did not have a mask while cooking the entire time we were there. I understand you take these risks when you dine out during COVID however we definitely felt like more precautions could have been taken.
Delicious brunch, generous portions and great mimosa deal! Definitely recommend!
Service and food were far from desirable. I will not be returning. Took forever to even get our waters refilled
Fantastic food! Always a great time when we go!
We celebrated my husband's birthday and everything went well. Our server was nice and attentive. We enjoyed our dinner and liked all of the food.
Great food! My new favorite restaurant
Great neighborhood place. Outdoor seatings with plenty of space between tables available. Great food and good atmosphere.
Fantastic food and service!
The restaurant is closed. Why are you accepting reservations??
Please turn off your online reservation service if the restaurant is actually closed. We drove 30 mins to find out the reservation was not valid, not something I would expect from any restaurant or open table. Very disappointing!
My go to for client meetings, family dinners, and just because. Great food and atmosphere. Enjoy!
Always excellent service at Legno!
Great food and Great Service. Will definitely return.
Those morning potatoes.... Yummmm
Food was good but for the money it was nothing to write home about. Just averageish.
We had a nice table outside. That was the best. Also the wine was a good pour.
We love this neighborhood place but they have limited their menu and decreased portion sizes. Service was fair at best. I hope that they go back to pre-COVID menu and portion sizes.
Changed menu, less variety and quantity. Had more choices in the past
Enjoyed a delicious Italian meal outside on the patio. Yummy burrata and salmon!
Fantastic patio dining! Bottomless mimosas for brunch were fabulous!
Server took a long time to originally get to our table. My food was good. My company’s eggs were “just ok”.
I had our server a previous time and again she was really great. Helpful with suggestions, attentive, professional. The food was delicious.
Good foog all good a little slow but ok
My first outing post-COVID, we felt safe and comfortable with the service provided. We sat outside and waitstaff made proper use of their PPE. And, as always, food was amazing.
Had a good time. The place wasn’t too busy so it made it for a quieter dining experience. They had a limited menu in comparison to their regular menu from before COVID. Overall the family had a good time and all of the servers were very friendly and patient.
Thank you for such a great dining experience. The food so delicious and the service was equally terrific.
It was excellent
Food was great but wish I knew they had a Valentine Day menu. Waitress needed help was not the greatest took forever to come back to us.
Always a fantastic experience! Consistently delicious food.
I was in the area & was suppose to meet a friend at Legno as it was the closest restaurant on OpenTable that I thought had a gastro pub menu that looked interesting. Well, my friend couldn’t make it, but it was not only a well-appointed restaurant but the service on a Thursday afternoon was great by the bartender, David Rich! He knew his drinks as I was around for happy hour—made me a cocktails & served me awesome foods that I love to sample a variety in a new restaurant, (bc I’m a former Restauranteur of a global restaurant in the burbs.) The beautiful restaurant/gastro pub vibe would fit right along downtown Chicago west loop with any hip restaurants. Thank you, David Rich, for my 1st experience...and the next time I’m in the Portage Pk area of Chicago, I will definitely stop in again!😊 Mary MG
I have passed Legno on the way to work throughout the year and finally got to try it out. It turned out to be a great meal. I think it was called the Arancini appetizer, that was very tasty! The Tomato Bisque soup was very flavorful. We split the Lobster mac which was more like an alfredo sauce, it was very rich and big pieces of lobster. I must say the best part of all was the gelato we got for dessert, such a wonderful flavor and with cookie dough!
Meh, start to finish. Food looked beautiful but salad wasn’t at all as described on menu - wilted and flavorless. Grilled octopus was lukewarm. Also - - the whole place needs a good scrubbing.
This is such a nice neighborhood spot. It's casual with nice up to date decor, a friendly bar crowd, great seating for dining with family or friends. The food is quite good, the service very good, parking, and a menu to please all. From burgers, to pasta and Vesuvio brick chicken. Noise level lively, but not challenging for conversation.
Our food was amazing but our waitress, not so much. The rest is the staff was attentive in her absence.
We come here every year on Christmas Eve and Legno does not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding!!
Legno was pretty quiet when we went for brunch with friends on a Sunday during holiday season, although they were having a breakfast with Santa next door which reduced the turnout, we were told. The wait staff is very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is casual but classy. The food is decent but not great. I had the minestrone, which I don't recommend. Those in our party who had omelets enjoyed them. The arancini were very good. My husband's crab Benedict was only average. The fried potatoes that accompanied the egg dishes were only fair. I'd go back, but I'd try some different menu items next time.
Jeff and his crew are the BEST, I highly recommend Legno for Price, quality and quantity.
Excellent
Had to wait 30 minutes for our table even though had reservation. Service was a little slow. Food was great and wine excellent
Very good neighborhood restaurant. Have gone many times and will go again. Excellent service.
The food was pretty amazing from the brussel sprouts, califlower, octopus and the chicken :) yummy food definitely will go back.
