I ordered a ribeye steak medium and it came out grey throughout the entire steak. I brought it to the attention of the waiter and he apologized and said that the manager or chef would return with a new steak. A female arrived at our table about 15 minutes later with a new steak and sat the plate down and walked off. I assume the baked potato was the original one as it was now cold. Half of this steak was cooked perfectly and half over cooked. I am not sure why this new steak took so long. It was a thin steak and would have been cooked to medium in less than 4 minutes.
The other guest at our table were unimpressed with the lasagna and turkey meatloaf. We will not return to this restaurant.
Excellent food with friendly service. Highly recommend!
Sunday Brunch, best in town!!
Really good experience, hidden jewel (to me) in Oklahoma, delicious taste, chicken crepes were excellent !
Seasonal menu is fantastic!
One of me and my husbands favorite places to eat in Norman. I’ve never had anything but excellent service and the food is always delicious.
Carrie wasn't an excellent server making our anniversary special!
We ate here the day after Valentine's Day for date night. It was such a lovely dinner. We both got the filets with mashed potatoes, green beans and salad. Everything was really delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly. We got the lemon blueberry bread pudding. So yummy. Service was great. Atmosphere was really special with the piano player playing all familiar songs. He also took requests. It was an exceptional evening.
Legends is always dependably good! Love the salad bar.
Legends is easily one of the best restaurants in Norman.
We can always count on things being good when we go here even on Valentines when they are extra busy but great as always. Our kids now have started going here as well. We love this place!
Been over 30 years since I had been here and it is still excellent!
The food is OK, but the vegetarian options are limited. Jus a couple of pasta dishes. I would prefer a meal that would be a bit lighter on the cream and oil, but I get it that that is their style. The staff is excellent and we had a very quiet table back in a corner that was perfect for our dinner conversation.
Always a great experience, from the food to the staff. Our favorite in Norman.
Great place for Sunday brunch!
Wife’s Birthday - food & service was very good. Use to be a regular when living in Norman. Now in NW OKC so seldom get there. It was special to get back for an evening. To me the best and most reliable restaurant in Norman. Brunch fantastic and desserts to die for.
We gathered with friends from out of town for a birthday celebration including eight people. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was superb. The birthday guest was elderly and needed assistance, and everything was managed perfectly. We couldn't have had a better experience.
Wonderful service as soon as you walk in the door. Good wine and beer selection. My wife and I have greatly enjoyed all of the appetizers and meals we have had there. Save room for desert!
There was also a fantastic piano player that played happy birthday for my mom's birthday! He was great the whole time
Wonderful Find. Amazing Staff. Great place for a late bite as well.
Thursday night and it was kind of slow. The live piano was nice, although where we sat it was a little too loud for us to be able to visit easily. Not a bad tradeoff, though. The drinks were great. The crab cakes were good. The waiter was very friendly and generally attentive although one of our guests asked for lemons for her drink and another for olives for his Bloody Mary and he had to be reminded about both. His likability made up for a little sloppiness. He was personable and helpful, and overall a good server. The steaks were good. The sautéed vegetables and baked potatoes were excellent. Two guests had the lasagna rolls, and neither ate the one covered in pesto sauce. Maybe they just didn't like pesto. Probably wouldn't go back on a Thursday night. It was probably just a slow night, and that could explain why things weren't as perfect as they always are at Sunday brunch. Definitely recommend them for a nice dining experience.
Wonderful food and piano playing!
Good friends recently reintroduced me to this Norman gem! The food is excellent and the service friendly, professional and efficient. I especially like the live music which creates a great dining atmosphere. However, it can be difficult to carry conversation when seated close to the piano.
The food is excellent. I’ve eaten here a few times and the last couple I ordered the pork and port and it is excellent! My husband had the scallops and he loved them!!
Had anniversary dinner with my lovely bride. This restaurant was the best choice for me. The food and service, in my opinion, is second to none in this city.
The staff was exceptionally cordial and helpful. I love the cozy atmosphere.
Legends is always a good "go to" spot in Norman. Food is always great, and the ambiance is eclectic and funky. You'll always be dining with the older crowd of Norman, but there's tons of history and you might even run into a local celeb or well-known socialite.
I went with my boyfriend and parents for a Sunday Brunch, and we were warmly greeted by the hostess and were seated next to the exceptional pianist. The food was great, but our service was lacking. I've been a restaurant manager/bartender for a decade previously, and I typically will grant a server a little slack on a busy shift, but ours seemed despondent and as if he didn't seem to care about our table. My food was served incorrectly with potatoes instead of the requested fruit, and I don't think our table ever received waters. We also never got a check back from him after our food was served.
Otherwise, this was a good visit. I would suggest that on the crab cake Benedict, they should serve it on some sort of muffin or biscuit. It was only the crab cake served on the plate with an egg on top. It lacked substance.
Legends has been in Norman for decades because they’ve been maintaining great cuisine and service in a great location.
Legends is truly a delightful restaurant for virtually any occasion. They have a great range of menu items. The deserts are marvelous.
The food and service are great. They have a pretty extensive menu so everyone finds something they like. The live music - a piano player - was really good, too. The only down side to it was the noise level. This could have been partially because we were seated right next to the piano. All in all, a great evening.
I found the decor a bit tired. Food was ok, not stellar. Good wine list! Our college student waitress was excellent!
Our waitress Carrie was great as well as the piano player!!
I will definitely come back again with other friends! The food was good!
Our overall experience at Legends was outstanding. The food, atmosphere and service were all excellent.
Consistently the best restaurant in Norman! We celebrated our anniversary here Saturday evening. Food, wine, and dessert were perfect. Ask for the vegetarian menu if you are looking for vegetarian options!
We were put in an alcove by a door. Far north west hall area. It was terrible. We had 5 people and the waiter could not get to us. I have never experienced anything like it before.
Went there with my parents, food adequate, acceptable. We were sat in an odd little “side room” possibly since I had requested seating a bit separate from the piano player...but ick. Remember that odd little room your friend’s dad built onto their house? It smelled funny, had no windows, and seemed to be unconnected to air and heat—yeah, that’s where they put us. The food, as always, was perfectly acceptable, while being not at all remarkable. Easily the nicest restaurant in Norman and your grandmother will love it!
We had a large party of 10 and the waitress did a wonderful job.
My husband and I were seated at the time of our reservation. Once seated, the hostess said someone would be right over to help us but we ended up having to flag a server down after almost 15 minutes. The restaurant was not busy so it was a little frustrating to wait so long, especially since we had tickets for an event after dinner and we were almost late!
Very nice neighborhood restaurant with a warm, cozy environment. Menu has a nice selection of offerings. Wine list seemed adequate, but I am not that knowledgeable in this area. We enjoy the live piano music and the ability to request a special song. Our food was excellent and varied from fish, poultry, and beef. For those that ordered the house salad, the salad bar was nice but needed more frequent attention. We have eaten here before and had good service, but the service on this night was less than adequate, and the waitstaff seemed to be spread much too thin.
