Great food and service. The gem of Addison. I'll definitely be back.
Not bad for seafood in DFW, but definitely not good. My parents (both 65+) enjoyed their lobster, but my fiancee and I did not enjoy our trout and shrimp. There is a reason the crowd averages over 60 in this place - no flavor.
Lefty's is a warm and friendly eatery with consistently good food and service. Our "go to place" for family dining and special occasions.
This place was fantastic the food was great!
Great little place for dinner!!!
We love Lefty's. The food is consistently good every time we eat there. Seafood dishes are nicely plated with home style corn on the Cob and baked potato. The fried shrimp is not overly done with batter. Yummy.
This restaurant never lets you down. The food is always amazing and the service is impeccable. Don’t pass this one up.
Overall the food was good, little expensive for the size of the meal. Lobster bisque was definitely my leadt favorite. Not one piece of lobster!
We’ve been going to Lefty’s occasionally for nearly a decade. The food was always good and service was spot on. Same as our last visit.
I’ll say that it’s a tad pricey. Worth it? Let the diner be the judge. It’ll depend on one’s expectations.
My wife enjoyed the mahi-mahi special. I stayed with the single lobster. Baked potato and corn on the cob. My pet peeve is frozen corn. But yes this was fresh. A bit over boiled and lacked seasoning. But fresh. Lobster maybe was little overdone. Tail seemed to be a bit chewy. I finished it anyway.
Noisy noisy atmosphere. At least Addison finally embraced the 21st century a few years ago and banned smoking in restaurants.
We will return only because it’s a plausibly good seafood place. Haven’t had a negative experience yet.
I had been at Lefty's only once before and remembered it being a rather decent dinner venue. Going back for a special occasion confirmed by memory. The setting and lighting made seating cozy. Our waiter was very prompt and extremely helpful. He made the experience a great one. The food was high-quality. I couldn't believe the size of the broiled Rock Lobster tail I had ordered! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and all of the food tasted outstanding. I will definitely be back in the future
Met up with some old friends that we had not seen in a long time, so we were grateful that it was quiet and not too crowded on a Thursday evening, plus we had a lot of verbal catching up to do! The manager was also our primary waiter it appeared and he could not have been more friendly and attentive, including when we needed extra time. I love the local craft beer called Hissy Fit and the wine selection seemed perfectly adequate. We had Blue Point Crab Fingers for an appetizer, just those small pointy crab claw ends in a spicy broth. My dear friend ordered the Clam Bake which had a bit of everything, his wife the Pecan Crusted Trout, and my wife and I split a lump crab meat salad and one of the culls, our Lobster happened to be right-handed only! They have great, truly fresh warm bread and the Creme Brulee for dessert was the best our friends had ever had out in Dallas, and they eat out quite a bit around Dallas and the northern suburbs! Well done, wonderful evening!
The three of us enjoyed our meals.
Always excellent, our go-to seafood spot for a reason. Favorites include soups and stuffed dishes (lobster, shrimp, snapper). Outstanding desserts. Low-key, casual atmosphere.
Excellent fresh fish. Consistently great seafood!!
Great place to experience seafood with a New England feel in Texas.
we eat there quite a bit, I've recommended this place to quite a few friends one (and his wife) drove from Indiana eating out the whole way now every time they come to Dallas he has to eat there. If you like a dinner but with a sauce from something else there is no problem. We hadn't been in a while but Friday night was just one of the very best but it is hard to rank when they are all so good.
Consistently excellent I. Food and service. Owners show involvement without micromanaging. Our no. 1 now and hope to be regulars. The lobster is the freshest! Kudos to Alejandro, our server!
The menu had some nice choices and something for everyone.
Their specials menu is always outstanding! This time the chef changed up the side dishes and with the Branzino made a potato and roasted vegetable casserole. It was outstanding! Definitely will order again the next time I see this on the menu.
Great meal, excellent ambiance.
Lefty’s is always a great experience.
Fun place. Fresh ingredients. Good seasoning but you must like butter to like the food. My husband ordered sea bass and I had the pan fried lobster/shrimp combo. Both dish were tasty but VERY buttery.
This was our second time eating at Lefty's. Just as good as the first time. It is relaxed and comfortable, but with a touch of special. Walking in and seeing all of maritime decor, I thought , "What is going on here?". However, the low lighting and excellent food and service make sense out of it all.
Authentic..we love this place. Specials are always good.
Not great food. It’s slipped in service and quality. Not patron friendly.
My husband had heard of Lefty's, so we thought we would check it out. We made a reservation and that was the key. They had a line out the door by 7:30 p.m.
We went in at 6:15 and had dinner and a few cocktails. He got the stuffed lobster and I got the 1 pound lobster. Both were wonderful and we liked the funky atmosphere. Food was excellent. It's a place we will go back to even though we live in Prosper. Excellent value as well.
The fried shrimp is amazing!
Our go to place for special occasions, or just when we need a lobster fix. Never dissapointing.
Great lobster and service.
Great food, great service, excellent!
Specials are always delicious!
Always fabulous and the owner is so genuine! My friend had never heard of such a place,, but he certainly will be back!
We always say we want to try another place for lobster, buy when we get ready to make reservations, the phone call goes to Lefty's. My wife loves the lobster and I just love it all.
The food here is wonderful and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
The staff was awesome. I spoke with one of owners that night and he was so accommodating. I brought my own birthday cake to share with my guests and they offered to serve it at no additional charge. The food was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Great experience. Will definitely come back!
The lobster bisque was luscious. The Caesar salad was very authentic, the sea bass was to die for and our waiter was very helpful, anticipating what we needed before we could ask for it. Only complaint is the very high noise level.
We usually rave about Lefty's and have invited friends to eat there with us on several occasions. This particular time, however, our lobsters were overcooked and a bit chewy, though still tasty. Considering that the price has gone up on the lobster dinners, we were a bit disappointed in the product.
Still the best clam chowder and key lime pie around.
I used to frequest Lefty's 7 or 8 years ago. The food was great and the prices even better. Now both are bad. I ordered a $75 lobster tail and I felt like I was eating a shoe. It was spiny lobster, which is the worst kind to start with. I should have known. Very disappointed our "go to" restaurant is now a big "stay away".
Friend introduced me to lefties and we went back every year. When I got married I took my wife for the first time for dinner and we go back on our anniversary every year and she just can’t wait to go back she loves it. We Go back now at least 2 to 3 times a year. I interested lefties to my family I and they love eat there at least once or twice a year. Me and my wife will be back in April to celebrate our 11th year of marriage can’t wait!
Fun spot for dinner. Great food and service in an authentic, energetic atmosphere. Only draw back is that its a very loud restaurant. Table conversation is not possible...
