Excellent food although the burger was a bit dry
I am usually here for dinner but this is a nice place for brunch too. Easy reservations, spacious tables, great service and good food. Probably would not get the Eggs Benedict again. Nothing special and they use thinly sliced ham (vs. Canadian bacon/ham) and the hollandaise sauce was boring.
But I LOVE this place and will get the steak and eggs next time.
I love taking my friends here for brunch. Especially in the summer after the yoga classes on Santana Row. Always great service and delicious food.
We were seated on time, the service was excellent and the food was amazing!
Food was good, not great, but good. Main problem was the noise. Very difficult to have a conversation without yelling across the table.
Met there as a halfway lunch point to celebrate a birthday. Service was awesome! From servers to manager a real treat. Menu was diverse and the food was very good, way above other multi unit eateries. They really care about the all around experience here. Will recommend to others heading that way and will be sure to stop in myself if I find myself back at Santana Row.
Service was slow. I actually think the waiter forgot about us.
Genuine French Brasserie, energetic and classic French experience executed with considerable polite American attitude. Cuisine is quintessential... and hits all the right notes! The Ribeye is great... Not exactly the best you will ever eat, but it's awesome with the Bordelaise sauce and perhaps the most perfect pommes frites this side of McDonald's! The selection of Champagne, Wine, and excellent attentive service adds to the experience. I highly recommend the Left Bank!
The staff, from the podium attendant to waiter, and even busboy/girl, are exemplary from the standpoint of professionalism and friendliness. The quality of the food supports this statement. Barvo; bravae.
Better then expected for a mall restaurant, overall just acceptable for French food. Waiter was wonderful, very engaging.
As usual, the food was spectacular! Great Romantic spot.
Food is not great, servers are not attentive, and very loud ambience
Overall very flavorless. For a French restaurant there was a distinct lack of salt. Stale bread served at the table.
Came in wanting to order coq au vin, saw it at the table next to us and nixed that idea.
Dinner for two $180... really?
Not worth it.
This place was AMAZING! First time eating here and definitely won't be the last! The food was delicious, we orderd the cheese fondue which was phenomenal. My wife orderd the butternut squash pasta and I ordered the roasted duck and we both loved our dishes. This place is perfect for those who love french cuisine at a fair price! You get what you pay for that's forsure :)
Abdeell is spot on! Wonderful to have Abdell serve us on a special time.
The service was great. The Nicoise salad was pretty good, but over dressed. I had the skirt steak which was cooked perfectly, but the fries were greasy and the side of greens was boring. Not bad, but definitely not worth the $75.
Food quality has declined. Pomme frites tasted terrible and didn’t come in the expected fry holder. Instead included on the plate.
Wage surcharge came as a surprise on final bill. Wasn’t the 4% amount but no disclosure from reception or waiter. If on menu, it is in lawyer small font disclosure. Suggest increase your prices instead vs adding wage surcharge.
Great place with great food but what gives with their desire to plate stuff in their small casserole dishes. We had a little casserole dish for our amazing duck breasts. I’m a guy that needs some space to work with my food and that just doesn’t cut it. Glad we asked for plates and sent it back.
I came back to enjoy here after a year. Firstly, hostess is so cute, friendly and helpful. Secondly, my waiter has knowledge to explain the menu for me and my friend. Thirdly, food tastes good enough as same as I came last time. Fourth, the waiter assistes us all time when we needed him.
Ether was a very conscientious table attendant. He was awarded 20%
The new Manager seemed a bit distracted, and although he asked how was our meal, we hadn’t been served, so I said the air was delicious. To which he replied, very good.
Lamb should be every day. Coq au vin should be freshly prepared and highly seasoned. A table of six made unique choices, and the ahi tuna, butternut squash pasta and duck were delicious and presented beautifully.
Wonderful place for brunch! Great food! Great service! Overall awesome!
Our waitress was fantastic. She was the best server I have encountered at Left Bank.
Food was good overall. Had the escargot, truffle fries, and calamari to start off. The escargot was nice, as was the calamari, but the calamari was not as good as I had expected. The fries were well cooked and seasoned lightly, which was nice.
I had the steak and frites and my wife had the duck. Both were well cooked. Didn't save room for dessert, but I'm sure it would have been nice.
We were seated at a table by the windows near the street (in the bar area). The noise level was moderate, not nearly as loud as I expected. We could have a conversation, but I did find that I had to speak a little louder than usual, not uncommon for most other restaurants. The vibe was upbeat, lots of people in the dining room and bar area.
It seemed to be a pretty popular restaurant, lots of foot traffic from people without reservations. A reservation is probably best for weekends, though a midweek brunch or something may not require it.
Service is the best . Food is ok. You should add more menu like soufflé and Foie gras.
Great food, great service
They have the best French Onion Soup!
Too noisy, you should put people with party's in corners, don't sit couple who want to talk next to them.
Very good French cuisine and the waiter we had was very attentive
We were there for brunch , my husband and I , and 2 daughters. The server wasn't there for us . The table next to ours was seated after us and served right away.
We had to call somebody to at least bring some water ! The "countertop" , which is located in the middle of the restaurant , just behind us , needs to be cleaned at least once in a while : it was full of visible dust ...
When finally the server came , they were courteous , and the food was ok, not great. My quiche was good but but the presentation was really boring : salad on a small plate, and a piece of quiche on another plate by itself. My daughter's scrambled egg with salmon , also boring : just a soup dish with the scrambled egg, nothing to accompany , no bread , no salad...
But the almond apple cake was delicious ! The saver of the day !
We enjoy Left Bank for Sunday brunch. Even with a drizzly Sunday, the atmosphere is warm and inviting inside. Love the food, consistenly good and the truffle fries are outstanding.
Went here for date night. Pate appetizer was ok, but uninspired. Special Rhone wine flight was unremarkable. Beef Bourguignon was impressively quite dry and chewy. Not your best bet at Santana Row.
Easy to make reservation through open door. A bit spendy but it’s Santana Row.
Their brunch is out of this world. Love this spot! Make a resi though. It's a popular restaurant.
My fav, always enjoy every minute. Food is great, and staff knows us.
This is a very nice restaurant and the ambiance is perfect for a date night. The wine selection is awesome, I had the Pinot Noir from Italy.
Onion soup was good. Cheese fondu was also good. Other food though was typical of the Bay Area, not cooked by French cooks...not at all. So if you are not from France, have never been there and never tasted French cooking and work as a cook in a French Restaurant, then you really have no idea what you are doing. So congrats on the fondu and the bowl of soup, but the rest of it really tasted like something from the cooks at Dennys or IHOP.
We made a reservation a week before and we made sure to arrive on time but had to wait 20 min to sit down. They then wanted to seat us in an outside extension room that was overheated and stuffy, so we asked to sit somewhere else, they refused and said it’s the assigned table for you. We asked to talk to the manager and yes he was able to accommodate us and he moved us. The service was very poor, they were overwhelmed with VDay. We ordered appetizers, one of them never showed up, dinner came so we asked to cancel it. We asked for bread twice when we sat down, and it never came! Over priced set menu and servers not trained to handle busy holiday celebrations! It was very unfortunate because it wasn’t only Valentine’s Day but our daughter’s 17th birthday, Won’t be going there again:(
Good food and service. Pricer for the seafood but great quality.
