We came for cocktails and just appetizers. It was very friendly environment with Franch music, tasty cocktails, raw beef, escargot and perfectly cooked mussels. We had very good time. Thanks

Always love Left Bank. We enjoy the cozy bar but also like the dinning room. Nice selection of salads and main dishes! A regular place for us! 👍🏻👌🏻

I ordered the lamb croquet which comes with an arugala salad, however it came served with french fries and no salad. The waiter didn't comment on the change or say anything about it. We were there at 11:30, second group to be seated, so they didn't run out of salad. Two pieces of the lambwete grisselly.

Excellent in every way except noise level, which was awful as the restaurant filled up with lunch crowd.

Enjoy this restaurant 3-4 times a year. Went for the annual Christmas Tree lighting this particular occasion. Despite being completely overbooked they were still cheerful and did the best they could with service. The pinot noir was pretty good as was the martini. One thing they need to work on is making sure they have enough of the appropriate glassware for these busy evenings. Drinking a martini from a brandy glass just loses something.

It was as if we didn't exist. Our four member family booked reservations on Open Table in hopes of enjoying a Sunday Brunch. We arrived a few minutes ahead of our reservations on 11/12/17. The restaurant was not busy and we were seated right away. Then, we waited, and waited, and waited while servers, busboys, and even the hostesses walked right by us avoiding looking directly at us. Several times I tried to get the attention of one of the servers , but they hurried away without ever acknowledging us. Nobody ever showed up at our table to offer even a glass or water. When we finally did decide to get up and leave, the hosts who sat us down thanked us for coming in assuming we had already eaten. The manager was nowhere to be found or we would have addressed our displeasure with him/her. There is no reason for this lack of service . Even Denny's restaurants have standards that require their table staff to promptly greet and acknowledge a guest within 2 min of the guest being seated. Yet, Left Bank can't meet those standards while charging significantly higher prices.

Very noisy. The salad was great. Vegetables were done well. The duckling was tender but the taste was not as good as I expected. Also the skin was soft and not crispy.

The servers let us BOTH actually finish our meal before they cleared the table.
Today the trend is the opposite even at an expensive place. Our waiter was so lovely and the meal perfect!

Bad service, almost never saw the waitress, the food took forever and was mediocre at best, we got put at a terrible table, and the food was way over priced for what I got.

It was a wonderful Sunday noon and we took our niece and nephew out for brunch. The food was good but the salmon wasn't done and the requested well-done hamburger was served rare. The noise level is so high that it was hard to speak across the table and hear each other. Table cloths were appreciated. The menu choices are excellent. The drink prices were the highest we've paid lately in the Bay area. ($18 for a small glass of champagne. )

Saturday night service is a little slow, but the place was completely full so that was unfortunate. However our waiter was very aware of how busy it was and came by many times to bring drinks.

Calamari was mediocre. Sauce was too lemon-y. skip it.

Boeuf bourguignon was amazing.
Pork chops with horseradish potatoes were great.

Anyone who makes a proper dirty vodka martini with vermouth is ok in my book.

After a previous visit that wasn't great, the manager, Corey Halcomb, contacted us and invited us to visit them again. We did. This time service was great. Our waitress, Mayra, was very attentive and accommodating with our orders, and food was really good. I am glad we came back. Kudos to Corey for being a great manager. Thank you Left Bank.

Heading back home from Carmel, we joined some friends from San Jose for lunch at Left Bank. Hubby and I had the Nicoise Salad which was very good and just the right portion. There's a lot into that salad. They were willing to leave off the ahi tuna and anchovies for our vegan friend. Our other two friends enjoyed their entres as well. Overall a nice lunch dining experience. Glad we took the detour to have lunch there.

Being local to San Jose we have been to The Left Bank many times. Although the food has never been great, it's usually good. It's in a prime location and has really nice outdoor seating. The past visit was TERRIBLE. They could not get the drinks or food right. The steaks were delivered cold with stale french fries, we returned them and the plates were returned hot, the fries were new but the steaks were just as cold. On the third try we gave up. We were celebrating a b-day and ordered coffee to have with the cake we brought. The coffee was warm, not hot and it tasted as if it had been made hours before. We asked for hot coffee and they returned with super hot cups and the coffee was the same. We spent a lot of money and didn't eat dinner. Who wants cold steaks! The saving grace was the super friendly server and manager. The guy was really trying to help but he is limited by an incompetent kitchen staff.

Our group enjoyed all of our food and prices for the portion sizes were reasonable. The roti chicken was the most popular meal. We sat at a round table that seemed a little too close to the adjacent diners, and the service felt rushed.

Left Bank was one of my favorite restaurant at Santana Row . This time the food was poor ( no presentation and the service was very disappointing , waiter ask me twice what’s the percentage gratitudes I want to give it’s so ignoring in front of the guests ( plus he wasn’t there at the table most of time when I needed the service). Not recommended to anyone at all. Food waited for longtime n poor taste

This was our first dinner there and it was fantastic. The beginning didn't start off right and in fact the hostess told us that our table wasn't ready so I told her we would be at the bar. She said that she would remember my shirt. Well almost 45 minutes later I walked back to another hostess and she said there were no more tables available only outdoor seating. I told her that wouldn't work and the first hostess came back and apologized and got us a table in 5 minutes. Once seated, the service and food were outstanding. My wife and I were there for our anniversary and it was great. Thank you again and we will definitely be back!

Food and atmosphere were good. Service was inconsistent. Sequence of food delivery was poor in that appetizers showed up too late, and then entrees delivered with not enough time to enjoy, much less finish the starter.

We went to Left Bank for my husband's birthday, and everything was PERFECT! The food (french onion soup, steak tartare, mussels, and steak frites) was all delicious, and the wine was a perfect pairing. Our waitress was phenomenal - from tastings of wine to replacing a dessert with which we were unhappy, she always had a smile and went above and beyond for our night. We'll definitely be back!

I had planned a special baby shower here with for five. We could not get waited on, they kept forgetting to bring our requests. Took over 20 minutes to get water and drinks. We ordered several appetizers, the sliders were dry and cold, the calamari wasn't crispy or seasoned, but the fried were okay. Salad was dry. If we had service, we could have ordered dinner and dessert but the waitstaff didn't seem to care. We left to go have dinner somewhere else! The hostesses were also not welcoming, we arrived at 5pm so it's not like the restaurant was packed or full. I mentioned this was a shower in my rsvp but nothing special about it and felt bad for the guest of honor. Will not be returning or recommending to others.
