They modified the menu and the quality of food has gone down the drain. All the food we ordered was a miss from the bouillabaisse soup, to the mushroom ravioli to the blackened steak frites.
The server was attentive though. He was great!
Best dinner and evening I’ve had at Santana Row I think ever. Great cocktails, great appetizers and a very diverse menu that satisfies a picky family of four. Super attentive waiter all throughout the meal. Excellent dessert and tasty coffee. Warm weather and a patio makes this a great Friday night date.
Ordered three things asparagus salad the shrimp and beef bourguignon,Asparagus salad was very good shrimp what is just mediocre and the beef was terrible. Over cooked two tiny carrots in the whole thing. While our server was very nice the service was terrible. When the beef came we sat there with no utensils or plates for 10 minutes. Cancel

I should've picked a table farther away from the open kitchen. Other than the greasy smell from kitchen, the food and services are as good as always. This restaurant was still at 50% capacity when I visited. I really missed the hustle and bustle of this place. We'll definitely return once all is back to normal.
The food is always good. The outdoor seating was lovely, with shade under the umbrella and a cool breeze circulating. The service was excellent. The only - I can give is that the restaurant is over-priced. It is not a gourmet establishment. Lunch at $100 + $20 tip is excessive. But it is a nice place to see friends, the atmosphere is friendly and not off-putting, and I will continue to go there when I'm at Santana Row, though for me it is not often.
It was okay. Had an 11:30am reservation for my family, showed up before LB opened at 11:15am. Despite a lot of people outside with reservations, doors did not open until 11:30am sharp, at which point everyone scrambled to get in line. Despite showing up first, I ended up last in line and had to wait maybe 10-15 mins past my reservation before being seated. When I made it up to the host, I asked for a shady spot under the tree. Unfortunately, he sat my family under an umbrella on the sunny side of the patio nearest the walkway. The sun moved and then I sat in the sun for half the meal. There was also an unpleasant odor of sewer and guessing there is a sewer vent right next to where we sat. It looked like the green pipe exhaust with the hat that was about 5 feet away from our table. Only other complaint was our waitress who forgot garnishes in the Bloody Mary, despite specifically mentioning it beforehand, and also forgetting sliced lemon for my mother’s water (she had to ask multiple times). Otherwise, food was great as always. Now I know not to come during the week, and especially not when you first open.
We didn't have a wait. The server brought our dishes in a very timely manner. Lunch was divine!
Great food while sitting outside on a beautiful evening. And our server Sean did a great job considering that they were severely understaffed.

We chose several appetizers over individual meals and each was excellent. The wine is marked up more than is reasonable: a bottle of Bonnie Doone rosé ($15 retail) is $65. But the food was excellent and we will be back.
Meeting old friend
Went out with a 7:45 dinner reservation. Sat outside. When the waiter took our order he didn’t have anything to write it down with and we looked at each other that there would be a mistake. When the appetizers came they brought one of the wrong appetizer so we sent it back. He came to apologize for the appetizer and said the right one would be out in 3 minutes.
20 minutes later the appetizer arrived. But we had no silverware yet. We had to get our own silverware and napkins because there was none on the table and our waiter was not responsive.
About 30 minutes later the main course arrived. One of the dishes was a steak and there was no knife so we had to walk inside to get a knife ourselves. We finally finished up dinner at 9:30, and there is no reason a dinner there should take 1:45 when we ordered immediately after sitting down.
We’ve eaten here before with no issue, service was terrible this time and would have not tipped at all but we felt bad due to Covid and still tipped. So $150+ meal with a bad experience, at least my daughter enjoyed our time together.
Nice seat on the patio and lots of good people and dog watching. Fun way to spend a few hours on Saturday!
We did both the happy hour menu and the normal menu. The food was great!
We made our reservation last minute, but was able to get a reservation. They sat us up front where we like facing the street. It was crowded, but service was great and so was the food.
Looking forward to going again!
My favorite French restaurant for getting Mouilles, Escargots, Duck, and steak tartare... I am addicted to them!

We had a fun evening celebrating my son's high school graduation on Wednesday night. We were seated outside with lots of space between tables and the heaters were on. The food was delicious (especially loved the cheese fondue appetizer) and service was very good. We left there feeling satisfied and joyful. We truly enjoyed a special meal at a special place.

Have always loved food, ambiance and setting of left bank in Santana row - but food was just average this time - will give them a second chance in a few months as Covid shutdown has been hard on all. Our female server - sorry do not recall her name - was extraordinary - but did not see her much after order - too busy for follow up.
The service was poor. The waitress had forgotten the bread 3 times. The escargot & French Onion Soup were excellent. The beef burgundy was very good. My husband’s steak frites was out of stock so he changed his entree to lamb stew which came out cold. He sent it back & it came back still cold & the meat was tough. So we took it home to feed it to our lab retriever. They did comp him with a dessert. Considering it was a holiday weekend they should not run out of meat on Sunday. They should have enough meat for the entire weekend. We have been here many times with excellent food & service. This meal was a disaster
We didn’t even get to eat. Ordered appetizer, mains and glass of wine. Got the appetizers then reminded the server about the wine. After we were done with the appetizers the sever asked if we wanted the bill or desert. Main course order was never sent to the kitchen so we left without eating.
We had dinner at Left Bank last night, and it was a bit of a disappointment. The waitress came to our table relatively quickly after we were seated, and took our cocktail order, but that was the last time she came to our table without us having to ask other staff to track her down. We did notice the waiters seemed to be short-staffed, but even after long waits for her and apologies from her she never tried to step it up. 30 minutes after having our cocktails we flagged down the host to send the waitress over so that we could place our order. We wanted to have bread with our cocktails, but we didn’t get to order it until our cocktails were about gone, at the same time we ordered our dinner. Our dinner arrived and still we hadn’t been given the bread, so we reminded them about it. You’d think they’d rush the bread out at this point, but no it was still sometime before the bread came. After we finished our meal and sat for sometime, again, we had to get our waitress tracked down to bring us the bill. The food was average, we had a Niçoise salad and a roasted pork tenderloin. There was nothing that I could pinpoint wrong with my salad, but it didn’t seem as tasty as other times I’ve had it there, and same with my husbands pork tenderloin, it was average tasting. The highlight of the evening, was my mojito...THANK YOU BARTENDER!

Always enjoy coming here. Steak Frites is outstanding. Tried the Beef Borgingnon for the first time, could have used more seasoning. But overall very enjoyable to sit outside, watch the goings on and enjoy a good meal.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, would absolutely recommend
This was my second time at Left Bank and I had the same dish, Beef Bourguignon. The first time it was half-way decent. This time there was hardly any beef in it, and what beef there was, was all pieces of fat and gristle. There was hardly any beef at all. And they price it $32.00. I felt I threw away $32.00. The only saving grace of the whole experience was watching people streaming by.
Unfortunately the worst experience at Left Bank we’ve had. After waiting 10+ minutes in line, we waited 30 minutes after being seated before a waiter took our order then nearly as long for food. Waiter was not familiar with the limited menu. Having ordered the same thing many times, my son tried to have the arugula salad replaced with something else and the waiter had no idea how to do that. Food was not hot when served. The garlic butter on the steak never even somewhat melted. Server had attempted to deliver to other tables. Drink refill never requested was delivered and wasn’t a drink either of us had to begin with.
Arrived an hour early and changed from indoor to outdoor choice of seating and they accommodated us immediately.
These issues were very disappointing: Our server had his mask off his nose almost every time he came to our table. Also, person who filled our water should make sure not to touch the carafe to ours or others drinking glasses or he could spread germs this way. Other than those, very good experience.
We loved our meal (mussels, duck, steak tartar, and bubbly). We ate outside and it was perfect.
We’ve dined at LB many times, the food is always great. We were disappointed with the long wait for the food. First the order was wrong 2 out of 3, The food was cold and looked like it seat under the warming lights for a while. This last visit was not up to LB standards.
