Left Bank Restaurant
Muy agradable! Estuvimos muy contentos con el lugar, el servicio y los alimentos.
Excellent food and beautiful preparation. It is a real treat to dine at the Left Bank
Really liked this restaurant. The food was fabulous and service great. Great wine and cocktail list too. One of the best restaurants we went to in Vail.
It goes without saying that the food was great. However, it was the excellent service of our waiter Joey that made this a fine evening. He handled our party of 7 with great skill. The courses were timed perfectly.
Left Bank has excellent service, an extensive wine list and a romantic atmosphere for small groups or better yet, couples dining.
However, their food is good but lacks creativity. Left Bank needs a saucier to ramp up their entrees. Sauces on the side do not indicate to me a chef and saucier working together to promote an exceptional and memorable experience.
This restaurant has the potential to move into Michelin star category but needs to embrace the full expression of a true French dining experience,
Our favorite place to dine in Vail. Don’t miss the Vol au Vent de Homard and the choolate soufflé. Magnifique !
Ambiance lovely except that we had a very large and drunk party next to us.
We should have know when the coat check attendant was overwhelmed. The waiter was somewhere between disinterested and rude. Food was meh at best including steak au poive sauce that resembled gravy at Thanksgiving. Stay away.
My 63rd Birthday! My favorite restaurant! Dover sole was divine!
Not very special. Food was umdercooked.
Sent back. Still not right
Go somewhere else
Everything was great, except de somellier, it is the second time he tries to get us to buy a worse wine with a higher price, in a restaurant of this category seems totally inappropriate
Delightful experience. All the food was delicious. Really appreciated great wines by the glass. Highly recommend.
Anniversary dinner. Great food! Wonderful evening!
I first visited the Left Bank almost 40 years ago - food was great and French provincial ambiance was so charming. Now it's fancy, the food was good but not outstanding and the service left much to be desired. Our waiter also bused tables and left us sitting waiting on him for long periods of time. I wish the LB was still it's old self and PLEASE always have a chocolate mousse on the menu!
Food was great. Service was terrible.... drinks came out way after oyster appetizer, noticeable lags, etc. Food was really good so will probably go back. Although our server was nice, the skills weren’t up to the level they should be for a nicer restaurant
The meal was very nice, there were 3 people in our party and we all had something different and everyone said food was great. Meal was very expensive, if you don’t mind spending it than I’d recommend going.
Excellent food and service. A bit pricey, so we go only for special occasions.
Wonderful Valentines dinner, beautiful decor. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We waited a few minutes for our table in the cozy bar, our favorite in all of Vail. The stunning lighting and comfortable white leather chairs added to the ambiance. After a delicious dessert, each lady was given a red rose as we departed.
Great French menu. All the classics. All executed in true French fashion. Best French restaurant in Vail. They served Gerald Ford, Howard Head and other dignitaries. Droid gras poele or cold, Dover sole, carre d’agneau, steak au poivre. It’s all here
Aye in bar area, for us it was better then dining room
Great food and service. One of the best meals we have had in the USA.
Must have is one of the soufflés.
We hadn’t been in several years, but were pleased to find the exceptional classics alongside new inventive cuisine. Best foie gras I’ve had outside of France. The elk chops, lobster bisque and soufflé were scrumptious. The waitstaff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
Fantastic everything! Room is beautiful and spacious with great lighting. Bar is cute as well. Food was just spectacular, with great selections for everyone. Service was efficient and very personable. We are regulars, but had friends in town, and they were blown away.
Everything about our dinner was wonderful & delicious. I had the fish stew, (aka bouillabaisse, aka chippino) & it was delicious. But a heads up...no shells included! My husband had beef that was perfectly cooked & melted as he ate. An excellent evening.
Awesome place, love it!
Good food, service and atmosphere
Beautifully prepared French cuisine served elegantly in a dignified, quiet dining room facing onto Gore Creek. Perfect for a special occasion.
Excellent. Food was prepared to perfection. Service was fabulous.
We really enjoyed our evening at the Left Bank. Everyone's dish was great. Service fun and attentive.
Awesome French food! Not too over the top... appropriate sized portions (not tiny like some French restaurants): incredible cream-free tomoato soup, duck l’orange, short ribs, steak au poivre and a great wine list. Reasonable noise level of diners having fun. Going back tomorrow!
the best dining experience in the valley!! Far better than sweet basil which used to hold that honor.
One of our favorite places - not just in Vail
Classic French cuisine in a beautiful mountain atmosphere.
The truffle pasta appetizer is worth the price if you love truffles. The Dover sole for two is excellent as well and as delicious as any we have eaten in France. They do an excellent dessert soufflé as well that is just the right size for two. The wine list is extensive with great options.
Service is excellent but not intrusive.
Definitely worth the spurge.
We (6 adults ages 45 and up) were declined alcohol service while no one in our party was remotely drunk or over served. Once declined service we immediately left the restaurant. We believe it was their way of “asking us to leave”. Our table had been engaged in a political discussion, all six of us like minded. The bar is tiny and we believe the two women next to us and some staff were eavesdropping as we did not share our conversation with anyone beyond our table as that could be offensive. We believe in equality and fair treatment of everyone no matter their political beliefs. We will never go to a place of such discrimination even though the lobster bisque was divine.
Delicious dinner and a very pleasant environment.
Have continued to visit this restaurant since its inception by Liz & Luc. The new ownership has made it easier by instituting the use of "Plastic" which eases the need to carry huge sums of money or a check book. The modern decor is bright, up-to-date and continues a great tradition of good food although at, sometimes, the higher end of expense.
Terrible experience. They did not have our open table reservation at first and suggested I was wrong. Eventually found it. Staff was rude. They burned the fois gras Will not be going back
We came for New Year’s Eve and a set menu. They didn’t have any choices (ie fishorvegetarian options on the menu) So many people now don’t eat meat and two out of three items on the set menu were meat. The server gave us salad forks for our entree. For the price , ( our total bill was $850 for four with no bottles of wine), this was not worth it at all. The portions are small.. it’s hard to find something good to say except the room is pretty.
