Food was great, however service was inconsistent. I would return and would definitely recommend!
Exceptionally accommodating
We really enjoyed the food. For dinner, 3 dishes was more than enough for family style for 2 people. I would’ve been ok with 2 dishes. The 19 ingredient slaw salad was so good!!! Highly recommended.
Great food as always. My husband and I love Lee and it never disappoints.
Amazing food and great service! Loved everything!
All the Lee is exellent without the noise.
Lee always exceeds our expectations:)
Recently here late on a Friday night. The food was fantastic. Must tries are their famous slaw (add salmon if you like) and the Cheeseburger Spring rolls. Hard to get a reservation but well worth the wait. It was a little confusing as I'm not sure who are server was, we dealed with about 4 different people. Regardless of that the service was fine. Will be back soon.
Love dining at Lee as always. They are famous for their Singapore "slaw" which is only actually eaten in Singapore during Chinese New Year, and is definitely a gastronomic step above the version enjoyed there. I would highly recommend Lee for a dinner date, entertaining out-of-towners, business dinners or dining with friends.
The service at the beginning of the meeting was very disjointed. Four different people tried to fill out water glasses but we had ordered sparkling water from the first server. It also took a long time to get the wine to the table. On a positive note, the food is spectacular.
Birthday dinner. Delicious food
The food is wonderful and the service is excellent. The only issue is their very annoying habit of calling you to ask for confirmation of Open Table reservations. At least respect that I have made my reservation electronically and ask for confirmation electronically. Their calls always seem to interrupt meetings and they ask you call them back. Total pain, disrespectful and a waste of my time!!!!!!
I wasn't impressed with the restaurant at all. The table service was ok, but the staff who answered the phone was unprofessional. I spoke to a manager to clarify and confirm our reservation, and even though he said that everything was confirmed and he would personally make sure that our experience was nice, the staff was rushing us through dinner service and they forgot to send out the birthday wishes for the birthday girl, which is why we were there in the first place. I was so turned off by this place simply because of the terrible service. I have been to a lot of wonderful restaurants around the world and this was one experience that I would never want anyone to deal with. $200 wasted in my opinion.
Was really looking forward to Lee for winterlicious. I was excited to try the food. To be completely honest, it was incredibly mediocre. For the 150 dollar tab for 2, it did not seem like good value. One dish was WAY too salty and the other one was kind of boring - nothing special and have had better in Chinatown for a fraction of the price.
The best thing we had was a molten chocolate cake, which was not on the winterlicious menu. I wonder if the quality of their food outside of winterlicious is better. Would not go back. The service was quite good though.
The food was very good, and the slaw did not disappoint. But everything else did.
This was for my wife's birthday, and we had a 6pm reservation. The tables are very close together. The server actually spit as he talked and showered my our table. And we were very rushed. You could tell that they wanted us out by 7pm. (one hour). The server had the credit card machine out before we finished our wine.
The Winterlicious timeframe does not always push restaurants to put out their best effort. Such was entirely NOT the case at Lee. Staff were extremely attentive and not rushed off their feet which looked like they had done a good job of staggering the booking times. Food was exceptional ... as always ... perfectly prepared and great quality ingredients. Lee demonstrates that you can participate in these seasonal events without making the guests feel like they are at a bad food court. Our experience was outstanding!
Amazing experience as always!! And they even brought out a birthday treat for my friend!! Will always recommend Lee!
Our server, Lee, was absolutely lovely. He walked us through his favourite items on the menu and offered his opinion on wines, but was never too pushy. We spent some time chatting with Mike, the General Manager, who was a delight. The food was incredible, as expected. We were definitely not let down by our experience and I would highly recommend it.
It was a delicious New Year’s Eve dinner. 8 great courses. Definitely an unforgettable experience. The restaurants ambiance was nice but nothing that really blew me away. The service was a little slow. We were on pace with the table besides us and when receiving our final course, the table next to us received their dessert, finished it and paid while we still had not received our final course. Overall very pleased with the food and drink. Would absolutely come back again.
Went on New Years Eve for their tasting menu, and it was delicious! Also did the wine pairing which was well chosen. My only feedback was the portions of wine were a bit small. I will definitely go back for other occasions.
Fabulous experience! We were fortunate to be at Lee after Chef Lee's return from Japan, and were treated to a very creative 7-course tasting menu. Every morsel was exceptionally flavourful and beautifully presented. From foie gras to tuna tartare to a scallop/shrimp dumpling to duck confit to rare beef with truffle. And of course the always delicious Singapore Slaw. Will definitely return soon. Go for the food and vibrant atmosphere, but don't expect quiet romantic conversation. The place is bustling.
Each dish of the tasting menu is superb. Whether a first-timer or a regular customer, Chef Susur's Singaporean Slaw is a must-very tasty yet none of the 19 ingredients is overpowering, has great balance of texture, and very pleasing to the eye. Will definitely recommend this to friends and family, as a matter of fact, I will bring my husband's family and relatives in 2 months for their reunion.
Noisy. Tables too close together. I
Peking duck was not Peking duck
Fantastic food as always. Sam was a great server.
Best Restaurant in Toronto, high priced but worth it. Had the tasting menu at $95.00...fantastic flavours, tapas sized, good presentation, attentive service. Only negative, like so many restaurants, no noise adsorbing materials to reduce the ambient noise levels.
Can't wait for the next occasion.
Susur at his best. That said, Susur is always at his best. Wonderful experience, and food, every time.
Went for dinner after a matinee theatre with my dad and sister. The shared style menu was great to be able to try a variety of foods and the cocktail list looked yummy. I am pregnant so had a virgin Green Dragon and it was delicious. Definitely recommend the slaw and scallops. My water glass never got less than half full. Great service!
We’ve been going there for nearly 20-years - always special and the food and service outstanding!
Lee is my husbands favorite restaurant and so we came for his Birthday. As usual the food was excellent! We had our staples of Singapore Slaw and the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls but did try something new: the Tuna 2 ways. The Tuna Cevice is my new favorite menu item! The kitchen was also kind enough to send over a birthday treat to my husband for dessert - a nice touch! All in all, another wonderful meal at Lee’s. We will see you again soon!
Great food and service! Great atmosphere! Servers very attentive!
Great as always! Love the slaw, can never get enough!
The food is absolutely delicious! Asian influences yet so much more. The portions were bigger than I expected. Lovely ambience, the place seems to glow. Very cozy on a winter evening. And the food!!
This would be a great place to go for a Special Occasion but why wait. Go everyday if you can. It’s worth it.
The service was great. I really didn’t like the wine they brought me and the waiter went back and asked the chef what he would recommend based on the reason why I didn’t like the wine. The food with timely and delicious. We followed the waiter’s suggestion of the slaw + 2 dishes and I’m so glad we did because we were full by the end of 3 dishes. Every dish is very unique here. We got the slaw, poached lobster and shrimp ravioli, and cheeseburger spring rolls. I can’t wait to come here again and try their other dishes!
The food is consistently prepared and delicious. More importantly, the service is always top-notch!
GreaT chef Susur Lee has an obvious trait so his restaurants are quite similar but each one has its own specialty. Signature salad is the best, with 14 different ingredients provide an unforgettable experience. Duck breast is tender but the dressing and sides seem attract people more than the duck itself. Great service.
Dad’s birthday
Trendy place with a good decor. The food was very good and different which I liked. Glad we went to see what all the fuss is about. A bit overpriced in my opinion for what it is. The seating is way too close to one another. I was uncomfortable having a private conversation because we were SO close to the next table.
Always love Lee
Great food and great service. The team did a great job with our gluten and dairy allergies. The food was unique and exceptionally good.
This is my second time going here and Im really glad that I wasn't disappointed at all. Everything was wonderful.
