Lee Ratings and Reviews
We were a group of 4, attending Lee for my husbands birthday. Overall we loved Lee - the food was exceptional, the service was great, the price - well, we knew what we were getting into.
The only issue we had, was the speed of service. Normally this would be something you would hope to be fast - but it was like Olympic eating, it arrived way too fast. We had barely sipped our cocktails and we had 3 dishes arrive - and we ordered 6. The next three came promptly after. We had received all 6 dishes in 50 minutes.
We were there to enjoy Susur's dishes and instead we felt we had to gobble them down in order to make room on the table for the next dish.
We loved the food, it was creative, delicious, beautiful - but we all ended up with indigestion.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Lee. We had the signature slaw which is really as good as people say it is. We went with the wagyu, which in my opinion, didn't add to the dish, so I would skip that the next time. The octopus was delightful, I don't know how the chefs cooked the octopus to get it so tender! The twist with caramelized plantains was very ingenious and something I would never have thought of. We also had the Penang buttermilk fried chicken which was good but I guess I'm not a huge fan of buttermilk fried chicken but that's just a personal taste. I would have liked to have the option of picking dark meat. Overall very satisfied and will come back to try more.
Great meal, especially excited to return for the Singapore Slaw. Three times there was a mix up with our neighbours’ food.
Your waitress doesn’t deliver your food to your table, it is brought by someone else, thus the mix up. In the end they forgot to add our drinks to our bill so they had to catch us on the way out. Our waitress was very apologetic. Again, someone different mixes drinks at your table so there are bound to be mix ups. All in all it was a good experience.
Found the restaurant to be overrated.
Food items were variant from really good (the salad) to very bad (the gratin Indian plastic bundle dish).
Waiter was overbearing - he talked too much and didn’t stop visiting the table every few minutes for our opinions. This was our second time and can honestly say that we tried twice and weren’t shown a better time the second time. Meal was mediocre at best and when we tried to say we didn’t like a dish we were given a description of what the dish was. So as to brush off our complaint.
The waitress was very sweet. We ordered the black cod and octopus. Both dishes were amazing. We shared the cheeseburger spring rolls and it was very tasty. The both ordered cocktails (apple harvest and peachy keen) and were disappointed. All we could taste was the alcohol. We would recommend this place for special occasions.
I have been visiting Lee restaurant for 12 years and every time dine I had an exceptional experience.
Last Sunday however I have left a bit disappointed. I have invited two friends of mine to join me for dinner before the Pitbull concert. We had a see food special and although the presentation was fabulous and the food was fresh the taste was a bit disappointing. The food was salty and the lobster shooters unusual in texture. An expensive dish $150 , I would not order it again. We paid $380 plus tip for the 3 of us . We ordered 2 appetizers + see food special , bottle of white wine .....it was an expensive dinner .
