Lee Ratings and Reviews
It was a delicious New Year’s Eve dinner. 8 great courses. Definitely an unforgettable experience. The restaurants ambiance was nice but nothing that really blew me away. The service was a little slow. We were on pace with the table besides us and when receiving our final course, the table next to us received their dessert, finished it and paid while we still had not received our final course. Overall very pleased with the food and drink. Would absolutely come back again.
Fabulous experience! We were fortunate to be at Lee after Chef Lee's return from Japan, and were treated to a very creative 7-course tasting menu. Every morsel was exceptionally flavourful and beautifully presented. From foie gras to tuna tartare to a scallop/shrimp dumpling to duck confit to rare beef with truffle. And of course the always delicious Singapore Slaw. Will definitely return soon. Go for the food and vibrant atmosphere, but don't expect quiet romantic conversation. The place is bustling.
Each dish of the tasting menu is superb. Whether a first-timer or a regular customer, Chef Susur's Singaporean Slaw is a must-very tasty yet none of the 19 ingredients is overpowering, has great balance of texture, and very pleasing to the eye. Will definitely recommend this to friends and family, as a matter of fact, I will bring my husband's family and relatives in 2 months for their reunion.
Best Restaurant in Toronto, high priced but worth it. Had the tasting menu at $95.00...fantastic flavours, tapas sized, good presentation, attentive service. Only negative, like so many restaurants, no noise adsorbing materials to reduce the ambient noise levels.
Can't wait for the next occasion.
Went for dinner after a matinee theatre with my dad and sister. The shared style menu was great to be able to try a variety of foods and the cocktail list looked yummy. I am pregnant so had a virgin Green Dragon and it was delicious. Definitely recommend the slaw and scallops. My water glass never got less than half full. Great service!
Lee is my husbands favorite restaurant and so we came for his Birthday. As usual the food was excellent! We had our staples of Singapore Slaw and the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls but did try something new: the Tuna 2 ways. The Tuna Cevice is my new favorite menu item! The kitchen was also kind enough to send over a birthday treat to my husband for dessert - a nice touch! All in all, another wonderful meal at Lee’s. We will see you again soon!
The food is absolutely delicious! Asian influences yet so much more. The portions were bigger than I expected. Lovely ambience, the place seems to glow. Very cozy on a winter evening. And the food!!
This would be a great place to go for a Special Occasion but why wait. Go everyday if you can. It’s worth it.
The service was great. I really didn’t like the wine they brought me and the waiter went back and asked the chef what he would recommend based on the reason why I didn’t like the wine. The food with timely and delicious. We followed the waiter’s suggestion of the slaw + 2 dishes and I’m so glad we did because we were full by the end of 3 dishes. Every dish is very unique here. We got the slaw, poached lobster and shrimp ravioli, and cheeseburger spring rolls. I can’t wait to come here again and try their other dishes!
Trendy place with a good decor. The food was very good and different which I liked. Glad we went to see what all the fuss is about. A bit overpriced in my opinion for what it is. The seating is way too close to one another. I was uncomfortable having a private conversation because we were SO close to the next table.
My partner and I are foodies and love Susur Lee so it was a treat to go to his restaurantto celebrate a birthday. We had the tasting menu for two, which is 8 delicious 'surprise' courses and a cart special drink. The service was perfect. Our waiter, Sam, was really professional and great. The food was really fancy and amazing. Lots of things I've never tried before and the plating was beautiful.
I had my hopes up as it looked like a great place and I have visited once before during winterlicious and it wasn’t bad. Our server had attitude, huge waits to get our food, bill and drinks. Worst of all our so called top chef Winning dish was not that great. A lack of mouth watering flavours. But hey maybe that’s bc all our meals arrived cold..... yuck!!!
Guess I’m not recommending this place ever
This was our second time at Lee and, just like the first time, we were not disappointed! The food is incredible! We had the Singapore Slaw (a dish they are famous for) again and this time tried the Luckee Shrimp and the Slow Braised beef. It was outstanding! Service is always great too. Very knowledgeable staff and they always make great recommendations. For a party of two, ordering three sharing plates is more then enough!!! We will be back!
Slaw was amazing as always. Service was surprisingly off. Had first two courses immediately and on top of each other - very rushed. Then waited 30 minutes for 3rd and after another 45 offered to pay (for all courses) so we could leave. Server insisted on sending to go even though we explained we were in a hotel. Check came with no acknowledgement of issues. Chalking it up to a rough night as usually Lee is one of my favorite Toronto restaurants.
