Owner operated, our desire is to always be on hand to serve you simple, well-prepared food.
The food presentation was good, but the dishes were poorly executed. The menu is not the same as online or on open table. It is much more limited and the prices are higher in the restaurant. We had the olive tapenade. I got an olive pit, which should not happen in this price range. I got the goat cheese ravioli. It was not cooked correctly. The outer edges were hard and not enjoyable in the least. Goat cheese was the only flavor in the dish and I could have easily left the entire dish even though I was hungry. My husband has the wild boar ragu. The execution of his dish was much better. The pasta was cooked appropriately and the sauce had good flavor. I would not go back.
Very regional carnivore-forward. Simple and minimal decor, but serving hearty fare by knowledgeable, engaging, energetic wait staff. We had a wonderful meal and recommend without hesitation. If you’re a fan of fancy atmosphere, this is wrong place for you. But if you like excellent food in unpretentious surroundings, do not miss.
Lecosho is wonderful. Great food, best staff, consistently excellent. One of my go to restaurants in the neighborhood. Kudos to Jennifer and Carey for their warm service!
Everyone’s meal was delicious. They made sure we had time to enjoy our meal and get to the theatre in time.
Outstanding meal of shared small plates. Ambiance is very inviting. Dessert was the maple creme pot which was perfectly paired with pink peppercorn shortbread cookies.
We went here before a show and were very happy. It’s great for couples or small groups. The pork chops are the best I have had in any restaurant. Our server was attentive and knew the menu and wine pairings.
My only ding would be for lighting. We had to use our phones to read the menu and bill. A brighter candle might help or having the overhead lights just about 10% brighter.
Wonderful, comfortable restaurant featuring local, seasonal foods creatively prepared and beautifully presented. Staff are friendly, knowledgable and attentive. Great experience!
Loud by the kitchen but food was excellent!
This restaurant has a great location and an attractive menu. However, it all went south after we sat down. The waitress was so hurried, she walked away when we asked her for drink recommendations. The cheese tray appetizer was enough for maybe two people and was supposed to serve five. It would have been helpful to know it was small when we ordered it. Considering the price, we assumed it was large. I ordered the ravioli and was disappointed. It was cold and chewy (served al dente, but not clear if that was intended of if it was undercooked) and lacked flavor. With so many great choices nearby, it’s hard to recommend this place to diners. My recommendation is to the owners who need to overhaul their menu and make sure their cooks are following recipes.
Excellent, the food and the service, the best in Seattle
We enjoyed every bite!
We really wanted to like this place. Service was fine, although not particularly helpful regarding menu items. The duck special tasted like canned meat and was very very dry. The kale salad was fine, the gelato and chocolate torte were both good. My husband enjoyed his rib eye steak, but we both agreed it was not a place we ever need to return.
Fantastic food!! Lecosho blends a combination of creative prowess and flawless execution in their dishes. From the shishito peppers to the chorizo-corn salmon and apple madelines, everything was phenomenal.
Great location and wonderful atmosphere. Our food and service were very good. This place goes overlooked which is good for people looking to find a great place without having to wait for a long time for a table or make reservations far ahead of time.
This was our second time at Lecosho, and both times the food was very good, creative, and a reasonably good value for restaurants in the same class. The service was likewise very good -- present when needed but not overly attentive. The noise level is relatively high in the space, but was fine for discussion among a group of 6 given that the restaurant was not full on that night.
Outstanding service and good. Great comfort food on a cool day.
Great lunch spot. Quick service tasty food and nice view over Harbor Steps
Lecosho is a Seattle gem. The food is amazing, carefully prepared. There is a wonderful variety, the food is very flavorful and there are lots of vegetarian options. It's definitely become one of my favorite places to go for dinner.
The food was great, better than expected. There was a band playing for a bit on the walk way but it added to the initial experience.
Hands-down, Lecosho makes the best burger. I cannot resist it every time I eat here.
The place was hard to find, as Open table had them pin pointed as a block up. The restaurant is hidden on the stairs up University Ave. Dinner was so good! We started with the shashito peppers- they were delicious but the plateup was lackluster with just the peppers and an exorbitant amount of aioli squirted haphazardly on it...the main entrees were plated much better and tasted just as amazing. I had the Ribeye, my sister had the Halibut. My Ribeye was cooked to perfection and tender!! Would definitely recommend! I think they need to move to a more prominent location to truly showcase their culinary talent!
Great food, and nice understated ambiance. Our favorite dish was, surprisingly, a baby kale salad with pistachios, figs, and grilled haloumi.
Elmelia made our evening very enjoyable. We ordered 4 small plate for the 2 of us and it was very filling! Each dish was thoughtful, presented well, and clearly had people who care about their craft behind them.
Always great food and service. Bar drinks are fantastic.
Enjoyed a well-prepared wild boar Ragu and mixed greens salad with a very balanced Cab-Merlot. Dined on the patio. The restaurant had very low traffic on my Tuesday night. However, attentive waiter did not go unnoticed. Plan on exploring further items on the menu in a future visit. Recommend!
Excellent surprise. Tried one night and returned the next. Not big menu but quality and service is there. Loved the pork chop.
Very good food. We will definitely be back!
Lovely restaurant. The staff is excellent and we really enjoyed our meal. Great location for a stroll along the water afterwards.
Ate outside on a lovely Seattle summer day. We had a 7:30 concert a 10 minute walk away. 2 people arrived about 5:50. Under normal circumstances, this would be plenty of time. However, the other 2 experienced Seattle traffic woes and arrived about 6:25. The server and hostess did a superb job getting us fed and out by 7:10. To make matters even better, the pasta, seafood, and cheese plate we ordered exceeded our expectations.
Absolutely delicious! Warm and friendly service.
Lovely setting on the Harbor steps. (Formerly a sushi resto was located there). We sat on the terrace in front nearest the condo gate, to the south side. Delicious heirloom tomato wedge salad and we asked for bread which came with a tasty French-style olive tapenade the remains of which I really wanted to take home. We both ordered the juicy, generously sized pork chop over chanterelles and potatoes. Delicious. The bar kindly comped my first glass of Pinot noir as it was the last of a particular one. We bought a jar of watermelon rind pickles to take home. I would definitely eat here again.
The service was awesome, the environment was beautiful and romantic. The food was incredible and flavorful! I would definitely go again. I love how you can see the kitchen. Amazing food and environment highly suggested
Amazing service and great food. We had a special birthday celebration with our work group and Lecosho provided great service and made the event special for us. Thank you.
Great outdoor patio area. Great and pleasant service.
Dinner at Lecosho was a bases-loaded grand slam success. Every dish was fantastic, our waiter (Mike) was terrific, and the overall vibe was warm and friendly. A memorable meal all around.
The food and ambience were simply perfect for our recent gathering of old college friends. Host/owner/master chef Matt Jahnke was on hand by happy accident to treat us all as cherished guests. The patio seating was a great choice for a raucous and ravenous group! An array of delicious small plates and entrees suitable for sharing were paired with great wines from a nicely curated list. The menu changes to incorporate some seasonal items but favorites remain and despite the name, there are plenty of options for vegetarians. Lecosho is a great option to remember for folks coming over to Seattle by ferry. Highly recommend!
What a nice experience to dine in a fun place with an open kitchen and friendly waiters and waitresses to help make the experience special!
We had a lovely dinner here. The server really added to our experience. The only thing we thought, which could be a 1 off, was our ravioli was slightly undercooked. I think because they are so large. We had our pork chop as reccomended at medium rare, we asked for it to be put back on and they were happy to do so. We just like it more medium well. Great flavours in the dishes and great service! I would recommend going here!
