Lechon is a South American dining experience that seamlessly combines the fiery cooking of Argentina, Chile and Patagonia, along with creative inspiration of the chef. Enjoy perfectly charred 28-day dry-aged ribeye, grilled octopus with chorizo, housemade piquillo pepper and pork empanadas, slow roasted lechon, refreshing ceviches and smoked bone marrow.

Executive Chef Jaco Smith consistently pushes the boundaries on traditional Latin fare by incorporating wood-fired flavors into his cuisine while boasting a view of the Willamette River that few Portland restaurants can offer. Smith comes from a large family of cattle, sheep and grain farmers. He started cooking at a young age in his mother’s kitchen. His favorite childhood memories include the tastes of dulce de leche, flan and grilled breads, reminiscent of South American flavors and commonly found on South African kitchen tables.

This was our second trip to LeChon and we made sure to bring out of town guests there to impress them! They loved it and we will definitely be back again and again. What I particularly love is the variety of foods with the small plates, because I can never make up my mind for one dish so this suits my needs ten-fold! Service is always second to none and the ambiance fantastic! Thank you for running this establishment!

We thoroughly enjoyed our celebratory meal at LeCHON. The quality of ingredients was outstanding and the creative flavor combinations were delightfully surprising. We especially enjoyed the Tuna Tiradito and Steak Tartare. The environment was elegant but comfortable. The jellyfish tank is a really cool feature.

We went to LeChon last night for the first time for our anniversary and brought our 7 yr old son with us. The staff were so sweet and excited for us celebrating our relationship and also so welcoming and accommodating to our son. The kids menu is priced so affordably so that you feel like you can really dive in and splurge on the "adult" menu. Every bite of food was delicious. Fresh and flavorful and presented beautifully. The cocktails were innovative and incredibly refreshing and tasty. I have a feeling they've just roped us in as regulars!

I've been to LeChon before and had a very good experience. 2 things I'd like to post: Our cocktails took a long time. We were on our 3rd "course" by the time our cocktails arrived. Our server was switched out after we received our 2nd course, seemed a little odd. Both servers were pleasant, good interaction. Other than those 2 things we had a good time. Great food as usual.

It was one of the best meal I've had in a while. In the order of our favorite to least(still good): pork chop, Tuna Tiradito, Foraged mushrooms and Brisket Empanadas. That was more than enough food for the 2 of us, plus a drinks. Good value, service was good.

I think most restaurants play the background music to loudly. Lechón does as well. Other than that, the food is spectacular, the service is amazing, the plates are small, but the quality is way above average. The food takes you on a journey. It is a great establishment.

We enjoyed this meal, and there were some great dishes, but there were also several that missed the mark. The skirt steak was tremendous, and the burrata was lovely and the roasted cauliflower was very good . The grilled octopus was over cooked, but saved by the pork belly it is served with. The bone marrow was sort of skimpy (the bones were not deep) and the bread it came with was not cooked all the way through (raw dough in the middle). The night was still very enjoyable, the ambiance is great and the service was well done. Would go again, just would skip the octopus and marrow.
