From the time I made the initial reservation, which had to be changed due to additional members of the party, to the greeting and seating, to the wonderful selection of meals, and the very gracious service,I heartily recommend dining at the Lebanese Taverna on Washington Blvd.

disappointed that the servers/staff were not wearing masks. Knowing that fully vaccinated can still carry the virus, I feel employees not because it's mandated but our of respect for their customers that they wear a mask. Everything else was great!

I called ahead of time to see if they could accommodate a peanut and tree nut allergy and they said yes. I was very careful to confirm with the server each item we ordered was safe and asked again about cross contamination. They reassured me there was no problem. Half way through the meal, my young daughter had to leave in an ambulance and get an epinephrine injection. This is the first time we ever had an incident in a restaurant. Otherwise, the food was very good.

We so enjoyed our night out! We ate outside and the service was outstanding - no hovering and we waited for nothing. The food was excellent and we even tried something new on the menu. Overall a wonderful night out!

Excellent food! Recommend they include chicken kabob in the appetizer menu and in the combo platter similar to chicken shawarma. The other option would be to allow substituting shawarma with kabob in some of their dishes.

We loved having our reunion dinner at Lebanese Taverna. The sangria was delicious, as was all the food, as usual! Patio was empty, for us besides the occasional cicadas. Perfect night!

Always excellent food, a varied and changing menu with some unique dishes. The chef's platter is such a good deal and fun for people who like a little of everything! The outdoor patio is spacious and pleasant. Service is attentive at just the right level.

I absolutely love this spot to eat, but the portions are on the large (and pricey) side. As long as you don't mind leftovers... and trust me, you won't after trying the food... the place is great! It is September of 2020 currently, so due to the pandemic, all dining is outside creating a slightly less nice ambiance, but not too bad. Most of the outdoor seating is in a parking lot right next to a very busy and loud road, but the restaurant has done the bast they can! Lebanese Taverna is a wonderful meal regardless of the location, and I strongly reccomend it!

Great middle eastern food.
The lamb shank was great, the humus is top notch.
Salads too.
The falafel was just ok, but the kobot made up for it.
The knaffe was not what we expected but an interesting take on a traditional knaffe

Will return for sure.

The restaurant is a charming neighborhood place with a great selection of Lebanese dishes. The lamb and artichoke stew had a lot of meat, all tender and well cooked. The hummus sample was ample and delicious. Our waitress was friendly, pleasant, and knew the menu well. We never felt rushed.

Our dinner was a pleasant late Valentine's Day celebration. The food (several mezzas) was excellent, as usual at Taverna. The server was a bit slow initially coming to our table, but was attentive and friendly after that. The table next to us was left uncleared for the entirety of our meal, which detracted from our overall experience.

Our family selected several items from the Mezza which we ate with relish. The bread was hot and perfect for baba ghanoush, hummus and m'saka. We liked the shawarma sliders and chicken samosas grape leaves and falafel .

Made a reservation a week in advance. They still hadn't seated us 45 minutes after the reservation time. We left.
They never came to talk to us. I had to go ask for updates, and still we weren't seated.

First time diner, great neighborhood find! Very tasty hommus and shawarma. A little surprised the Mezza M'saka was served cold, not hot. But, we will go back and again! Extensive drink menu, we will be back to try drinks next time.

The Taverna was much improved over several fairly recent experiences, this despite the fact that it was jam-packed at a late diner hour. The tables are very close together and all were fully occupied making for a constant din and complicating the wait service. We started with a "chef's mezza: a fulsome platter of varied cold dishes. The visual was excellent and the food ample. Of special positive mention was the Arab bread [not pita], a puffy, chewy item that went well with the mezza. The main dishes were fairly standard kabobs with lots of rice comprising chicken, lamb and ground beef: pretty much standard Levantine fare.

We met with my step-daughter’s friends for lunch. The service was excellent; starters were a bit meager but tasty; mains very large. The restaurant was very peaceful since we had lunch on a Friday. I recommend it highly.

I always enjoy the food here. I think the hummus, baba, and tabouleh are the best around. It’s often a toss up as to whether I have a meal or just share the appetizers. The family is so friendly and very accommodating. They also frequently have the kibbeh which is also outstanding. Nice selection of draft beer and a decent wine list.

This restaurant has always been our favorite. We had the reservation for after my mother's funeral. The staff was very gracious and went beyond to accommodate my sister-in-laws child with Down Syndrome.
I only wish there was a Lebanese Taverna or Market in Fredericksburg. Thank you.

Only spot for improvement is the service- we ordered a carafe of sangria with 3 glasses and instead got 3 individual glasses of sangria which was not cost advantageous.

I have been going to Westover Lebanese Taverna for over 20 years and this was my most unsatisfactory visit. The restaurant had one table occupied at 6:00, I requested a corner table by the window but was given a table at the opposite corner of the room away from the windows. I ordered a lamb entree, the lamb was completely over cooked - dry and tasteless. I tasted the lamb in my husband’s dish which was tender and flavorful, at that point the server asked how the food was and I told him. He shortly returned with some just cooked lamb which was good. Later the server asked whether we wanted desert, we both declined but he said I’d bring you some baklava, we declined again. But he insisted and we assumed it was complimentary due to the unsatisfactory entree. When we received our bill, we were charged for the desert. I was disappointed by the limited responsiveness to the customer. I had planned to have lunch there next week but will not based on my most recent experience.

If you like middle eastern food, this is a great spot to dine. The kibbeh, falafel, hummus and lamb shank were all prepared perfectly. The service was attentive and unobtrusive. The wine list was replete with approachable and delicious bakaa valley wines.

I met a group of friends for lunch at Lebanese Taverna. The food was delicious and plentiful. The waitress was attentive and responsive. She took our order quickly and checked periodically to make sure we were satisfied. She also happily gave us separate checks. Furthermore, the restaurant was quiet enough that we could speak without raising our voices and still be heard. The restaurant is located in a convenient spot in Arlington. Our group will be back.
