This was one of the most fun business dinners I’ve experienced. The waiter suggested a tasting menu and it was a wonderful way to taste a little bit of everything. Everyone enjoyed the food and we found a great way to get to know each other! Highly recommend Lebanese Taverna.
We have been enjoying eating the wonderful food from the Lebanese Taverna for more than 20 years. Although we do not live in DC anymore whenever we are in town we always try to eat here. Everything is delicious but the falafel are out of this world. The only downside is that the restaurant can be VERY noisy.
We have eaten at the Lebanese Taverns for 20 years and always have a great meal, great experience, great service. The waiter this last time was excellent. It was a cold evening and being there was very warm and cozy. We didn't want to leave.
Friend from out-of-town get together, so we were looking for a really nice, Metro-friendly place to have dinner. She arrived early & greatly enjoyed sitting at the bar, glass of wine & tapas. Our table was comfortable, we could easily hear one another conversing, food was nice proportions & very flavorful, service was warm, friendly & attentive -- but not overly so. We were very happy we chose Lebanese Taverna.
Good authentic meal
Always great food
Always great service
Food is good but overall experience could be great if service was improved
Great food and convenient metro location.
Service was inordinately and unapologetically slow.
Our group of 9 took advantage of the family style dining option. It includes an assortment of appetizers as well as several entrees. Great option if you have a large party and want to sample a variety of dishes!
Food was mediocre and lacking in spice. Bread was extremely bland and lukewarm at best.
My family and I were in DC on vacation. We were looking for a unique dining experience and had never had Lebanese food. It was a hit! The waiter was very informative, and explained the differences between the different types of food. They even had beer from Lebanon. It was an enjoyable experience and we plan to return on our next visit to DC.
Fabulous meal - mix of chicken and lamb dishes, with several starters, all shared. Humberto provided outstanding service, and was very patient as friends who had not seen each other for some time caught up. The only negative aspect was the nose level-at a table for 6, you could not hear the person two seats away from you without shouting.
My husband and I very much enjoyed Lebanese Taverna, in DC. We had previously been to their Bethesda location which was also excellent. Our meal was great and it is truly beautiful restaurant. The only negative comment I can possibly think of is how loud the restaurant is.
Our waiter was really funny and nice. Delicious food and cool ambience, all for a reasonable price. Authentic feel mixed with fun DC vibes.
All good. Acoustics are better in the back room.
Mustafa was our waiter an he was very pleasant and made our dining experience was nice.
Lebanese food isn't really my thing as I'm a bit of a picky eater, but my girlfriend loves it, and I still found enough things on the menu to enjoy the wide variety of options. The chicken samosas (paired with a nice Harissa) and Lamb Sharhat were great. The three herb sauce with the Sharhat I didn't really like, but I was still able to appreciate what it added to the dish and other people would probably find to be very good.
Great service and the food was delicious! I will definitely come back here again soon.
Normally very good but service was very slow and food was cold! We all had to send our dishes back to get rewarmed.
Delicious food, great service. Authentic and bold flavors.
We ate here because it was close to our hotel, on a cold night when we didn't want to walk far. But it turned out that the location was just one of the good things about this place. Food was superb and wait staff was perfect. We will return.
I love the food, but every time I go the service is mediocre to bad.
This place was amazing. The decor was beautiful and our waiter was awesome. It was my husband and my first time eating Lebanese so we both bought one of the tasting platters. Our waiter was even nice enough to describe each item on the plate to us before we ate them. Everything was so good. If we are in the area again we will definitely go back.
Delicious! We took some home and thoroughly enjoyed it also at home!!
Across all dishes we received, food was fine but not great. Service and environment were delightful.
Enjoyed the family style order for the table with Lebanese red wine. Food was delicious as usual and service feels like a family owned restaurant. Highly recommend
Usually go to the Arlington location. This was lovely. Great sharing several Mezzas and salad.
Food was good like always here, and our server was helpful on suggesting dishes that we liked.
Best Lebanese food I’ve had, period.
Good food, but very slow service for a party of 10. We waited almost 10 minutes before we were asked if we wanted dessert and another 20 befor we got what we ordered. We all would have rather gotten the check by then.
Food great but very noisy. The DC spot is a huge open space with hard surfaces, so when it's full, as it was Sunday night, it's really noisy. The nicely moved us away from a table with a really loud group. But the food is terrific, and the family style dinner was perfect for 5 of us.
This is our third experience here. The food is interesting and delicious, and the service consistently outstanding.
Der Service war anfänglich nicht optimal. Dies wurde durch ein sehr leckeres Menü wieder ausgeglichen. Auch der Service wurde, je länger wir da waren, besser😑
Waitress was great. Love the bread at Lebanese tavern. Big fan of the chicken shawarma. From DC to Tysons Corner to Pentgon City. Been to all of them. Always good and worth the price!
A wonderful place with reliable excellent food. We come here at least once every six months when visiting the zoo or DC w/out of state friends - it is our neighborhood gem with friendly and helpful service!
Quality food but indifferent and unknowledgeable server
We used to love this place, but it seems to have lost it authenticity. The food and presentation were meh. The ambiance was pedestrian. We were so disappointed. We’ve written this place off.
Great food, nice service!
Its been along time since I went but the food was not nearly as good. and the service was ok, the restaurant was ok, will not go back.
