Delicious lamb dishes, pita bread, hummus and stuffed grape leaves: always a treat!
Very busy and noisy with lots of people. Moderately priced and good value. Tends to attract a lot of people fhe hotel across the street.
I have been a fan of the Lebanese Taverna franchise for years and have always enjoyed and appreciated the authenticity of their food. After a few years of not visiting one, my friends and I went to the Harbor East location for my birthday and had the most perfect experience. Our server, Collin, was the most attentive and friendly server I think I have ever had. Our food was amazing, as it came out in a fair amount of time and was fresh from the kitchen. Our entire experience there was fantastic, but I wish I could have said the same at this one. My family and I dined there on Friday, April 13 to celebrate my law school successes and there were a number of issues. For one, our server was inattentive, as we had to ask him several times for water/drink refills and for more bread, as there were 7 of us and he only brought out 6 pieces of bread at a time. Secondly, although he was very friendly and knowledgeable, he did not communicate that it would take over 50 minutes for all of our meals to arrive and even when they did, several kabob plates were cold, and one meal was missing until we had to ask him in which he informed us it was "on the way." Again, in the interim, we had to ask for more bread and drinks. Furthermore, when the last person's meal did come (we had began eating because his arrived ~10 minutes later), our server then began immediately cleaning up our plates as our last diner was eating. There seemed to be more urgency to turn over the table than to accommodate and serve the guests who were already seated.
Although I am appreciative and grateful that this location was able to accommodate a table of our size on a Friday night, there were a number of shortcomings that will have us thinking twice before dining at this location again. We had such an amazing experience at the Harbor East location, that this dining experience makes us not want to dine here again. The food was delicious, but the service was poor.
Everything was delicious, highly recommend this restaurant! I was trying to stick as close to grain/carb free after doing the Whole30 and had several delicious options to choose from. Will be back for the other items I couldn't have this time!
The food here has been delicious for years and never disappoints and the staff is just terrific
I have not been to this restaurant for over ten years as I've moved away from the area. However, I find the food (mixed grilled meet, mezze platter and always hot fresh bread, including wheat) still good and the service even better. I was there one hour before scheduled and the manager/owner was kind to sit me down at the table for four while I await my friends. The wait staff (too bad I did not get his name) was incredibly attentive, helpful and friendly. I'd definitely come back again while in town.
Always enjoy this friendly neighborhood spot with authentic Lebanese food.
Delicious homemade hommus and pita bread. We could have made a meal from that alone. Good service. While we brought our children (ages 12 and 8), it did not seem like it would be a great place for babies/toddlers. There was a kids menu, though.
The meal was delicious and the host and wait staff very attentive. Enjoyed myself very much.
We loved our meal here. Favorites were the pita bread, the mixed kabob, and the lamb and artichoke stew. Service was attentive.
Service at Lebanese Taverna was fabulous - warm, welcoming, and helpful. Our server suggested the family dinner - a variety of appetizers and entrees served family-style, and everything was terrific. Will definitely be back!
Wonderful dining experience.
Wonderful ambiance with gracious service. Excellent fresh food....definitely not frozen remade like many other restaurants. Service was delivered with pride and their food reflected such
Food was delicious, but it’s always a little slow on the service side. Typically we are at the bar and service is better there, but otherwise it’s a favorite spot!
Beautiful setting and food
Everything was SO DELICIOUS!
The sample appetizer platter was excellent. We had the mixed kebobs and lamb shank, which were also outstanding.
Very noisy at peak hours. You have to shout to speak to your date. Food was fantastic!!
We moved away from DC 6 years ago and remember Arlington and DC LTs fondly. We were visiting friends in DC last week and found LT as great as ever.
I came with a large group of colleagues. The waiter was very good, both service and care. He even arranged for individual checks which we needed because it was a business affair. I love your fatteh!
Food was amazing - service so great. Noise too loud- bummer!
This was one of the most fun business dinners I’ve experienced. The waiter suggested a tasting menu and it was a wonderful way to taste a little bit of everything. Everyone enjoyed the food and we found a great way to get to know each other! Highly recommend Lebanese Taverna.
We have been enjoying eating the wonderful food from the Lebanese Taverna for more than 20 years. Although we do not live in DC anymore whenever we are in town we always try to eat here. Everything is delicious but the falafel are out of this world. The only downside is that the restaurant can be VERY noisy.
We have eaten at the Lebanese Taverns for 20 years and always have a great meal, great experience, great service. The waiter this last time was excellent. It was a cold evening and being there was very warm and cozy. We didn't want to leave.
Friend from out-of-town get together, so we were looking for a really nice, Metro-friendly place to have dinner. She arrived early & greatly enjoyed sitting at the bar, glass of wine & tapas. Our table was comfortable, we could easily hear one another conversing, food was nice proportions & very flavorful, service was warm, friendly & attentive -- but not overly so. We were very happy we chose Lebanese Taverna.
Good authentic meal
Always great food
Always great service
Food is good but overall experience could be great if service was improved
Great food and convenient metro location.
Service was inordinately and unapologetically slow.
Our group of 9 took advantage of the family style dining option. It includes an assortment of appetizers as well as several entrees. Great option if you have a large party and want to sample a variety of dishes!
Food was mediocre and lacking in spice. Bread was extremely bland and lukewarm at best.
My family and I were in DC on vacation. We were looking for a unique dining experience and had never had Lebanese food. It was a hit! The waiter was very informative, and explained the differences between the different types of food. They even had beer from Lebanon. It was an enjoyable experience and we plan to return on our next visit to DC.
Fabulous meal - mix of chicken and lamb dishes, with several starters, all shared. Humberto provided outstanding service, and was very patient as friends who had not seen each other for some time caught up. The only negative aspect was the nose level-at a table for 6, you could not hear the person two seats away from you without shouting.
My husband and I very much enjoyed Lebanese Taverna, in DC. We had previously been to their Bethesda location which was also excellent. Our meal was great and it is truly beautiful restaurant. The only negative comment I can possibly think of is how loud the restaurant is.
Our waiter was really funny and nice. Delicious food and cool ambience, all for a reasonable price. Authentic feel mixed with fun DC vibes.
All good. Acoustics are better in the back room.
Mustafa was our waiter an he was very pleasant and made our dining experience was nice.
Lebanese food isn't really my thing as I'm a bit of a picky eater, but my girlfriend loves it, and I still found enough things on the menu to enjoy the wide variety of options. The chicken samosas (paired with a nice Harissa) and Lamb Sharhat were great. The three herb sauce with the Sharhat I didn't really like, but I was still able to appreciate what it added to the dish and other people would probably find to be very good.
Great service and the food was delicious! I will definitely come back here again soon.
